Can some one point me to the HTC Default Theme/Scene? I installed the Elegancia Rom but HTC Default theme does not bring its wallpaper properly, when I tried to copy wall paper manually under /system/customize/resource and set HTC scene Sense fails and I have to delete HTC sense data from apps. So I am after its apk so I can replace it under system. What is its name and whether if I copy it from Deodexed 1.18 ROM, would it work?

Hey guys,
I've been looking into the problem of HTC Sense lockscreen for a while, the best solution I found yet was No Lock. I'd much rather enjoy the lockscreen from Motorola Droids where they slide to unlock/silent mode.
Previously, I've tried to uninstall HTC Lockscreen from Manage Applications, and Quick System Info (eg. any other app manager). Operation not successful.
So I opened ES File manager and went to /system/app/ and found HtcLockScreen.apk . But I can't rename, delete, move, uninstall it from here either.
NOWW,
I was wondering if anyone else had located this HtcLockScreen.apk or any other LockScreen.apk , and if they could upload it so I could try to install that apk over my sense lockscreen. Has anyone tried this? Is this possible?
Thanks.

You need more then just the lockscreen. I believe you also need fusion and possibly more depending on which HTC lockscreen you want to use. Also to install system apps you need to push them via adb / terminal emulator or make them flashable from recovery.

all the apps (other than fusion) start with "idlescreen" - and you can for sure move w/root explorer change perms and reboot for /system apps, I do it all the time.
@OP - I would say try to find on of the "senseless" ROMs (there's a bunch) which has a flashable zip to get back the 3.0 lockscreen. Since all these ROMs are on sense framework and deodexed, any of them should work. Good luck.

I know most will, but I've had some HTC apps that won't install with Root Explorer (HTC Footprints for example would not), adb, te, and flashables work 100% of the time.

I have my own deodexed, and fully rooted Rogers Rom.
No matter what I remove or add I cant seem to get my custom bootanimation to load.
I added the function of it with dsixdas Rom Kitchen tool, so i get a place in data/local to add a bootanimation. I added one in there, didnt work.
I then looked in system/customize/resources in here I had a bootanimation, downanimation, Rogersbootanimation, Rogersdownanimation.
I removed both Rogers animations, then replaced the other bootanimation with my one.
Still nothing, the only bootnaimation i get is a black screen with ANDROID in the centre.
No matter what i do cant get it to see my bootanimation??
Any ideas
Rename yours to whatever the stock one is called. Rogers_bootanimation probably. You can do the same for the down animation as well. Overwrite the files in the folder.

Well, I'm now on JellyBean with last HBoot, so I flashed the Deodexed JB rom, and I want to change the bootscreen from another rom (one of the ShadowDX rom, for example).
Is there any way to flash another bootscreen by aroma or another file manager? (I suppose that JB rom users can't do this vía root explorer, because of HTC system protection)
Thanks in advance
In the folder /system/customize/resource there are two zip files, one named hTC_bootup.zip (for the animation shown when you start the phone) and one named htc_downanimation.zip (for the animation shown when you shut down your phone). Just replace them with your desired ones using a file manager of your choice. If you are doing it from inside android, make sure to remount system partition as writable.

My HTC One X+ is O2 UK branded and I was surprised to discover that many of the apps I have on the HTC One X are not available on this phone. Most are just bloatware but I miss one in particular which is the flash light app. Now I can get them also on the market, but the stock HTC flash light is the coolest and I was used to it.
Since I rooted both phones I thought I could simply copy the app from the HTC One X to the X+, well it does not work, it simply fails to install. I have even taken a copy from an online 4.2.2 deodex ROM with no luck.
First i copied both apk and odex files from a plain odexed HTC One X /system/app into the same on the X+ and it did not show, then I tried copying the apk into the sdcard and manually install it. Did not work either. So I copied the flashlight apk from a deodexed /system/app zip and put it into the sdcard, and this one too failed to install.
I was wondering if anyone could help me understand what am I doing wrong and why it does not work.
Thank you in advance.
All you need is the apk file

All you should need from the old ROM is the apk file, nothing else. It could be a possible hardware conflict, or signature conflict. What does the error say as to why it fails? Do you have installation of 3rd party apps blocked in the settings? Check that first, then copy the apk to your phone's storage, use a file browser & install the apk. It should work. If not post the error message here.
