MIUI5 ported to the Xperia Play

Information:
World-first port of MIUI5 from the Xiaomi M2. Release is still beta, some things are broken but essentials should be OK.
Do not ask for ETA's. This is a work in progress.
Other Xperia 2011 devices will begin development once the beta is finished. Do not ask about it.
...Make sure you read the "Bugs/Not Working" section and understand them before installing. Only report bugs that are not already listed, and don't complain about bugs - this is a beta release and will be fixed when possible. Thank you!
Working:
Phone, Messaging and Data (with caveats, see next section)
Wifi, Browser and Play Store
Sound with xLOUD and Graphics with acceleration
ALS
Rotation
Gaming is nice for a beta
Bugs/Not Working:
Default brightness is too low. After setup wizard, adjust the brightness level manually (disable auto-brightness, change, then re-enable auto-brightness)
Setup Wizard > Xiaomi Account > "Skip registration" link is hard to see (under the picture)
Edit APN screen causes FC. Use a Backup/Restore app from Play Store to solve this e.g. Titanium Backup.
- If you use an APN edit/restore tool, you will have to move the APK to system to bypass jellybean security
Phone Dialpad "touch zones" are a bit off. Not sure how to fix this right now (probably an XHDPI scaling issue)
Phone Option menu (hold-power) minor layout issue (probably XHDPI scaling problem)
Guard and Firewall are broken due to lack of MIUI Telephony (not fixable right now)
Music removed (MI2 app incompatible, will be fixed later)
Camera not included (yet)
Rare and minor graphics glitches on window/transition animations

CDMA Users - please test with the Jellyzeus CDMA patch here and report your experience. Patch is not multiboot aware.
Install in any Jellybean kernel (e.g. Turbo Kernel v3.1 or later).

Sure is, it feels great Benchmarks are crap scoring but gaming is pretty good.
Will be releasing an update hopefully in a few days to fix browser and phone service.

I just realized there is no camera will this be added in next update? And once the update comes out can we flash it over this one without clearing data or formatting system?

I just saw some screenshots of MIUI 5 damn this looks awesome. When the telephone thing will work I will sure install this to check how it performs. Just one thing I didn't saw on working/not working the sdcard ?

I tried temple run 2 on it and if worked fine. But I'm going to wait for the more stable version because it kept rebooting. Also some app I think it was called security jingshan kept closing every time after installing in app. But its still in alpha version so those are probably already known about. Anyways its still amazing :thumbup:

Is anybody else experiencing major lag in the UI? plus I went to install some games from play store and the store returns back to the home screen after it loads up.

Yeah I had some problems with play store and there was a little lag with settings but don't forget this is an alpha port Dan said there will hopefully be an update later this week fixing service and some other things.

yes I understand it's an alpha release. Just trying to see who else is having what issues you know. Can't wait for updates. should be a pretty awesome rom.

Hmm, I've had no Settings lag problems with Play Store. Maybe I fixed it already. The only UI lag I notice is the lockscreen, but that's an issue with the base I think.
Is it just me or does gaming performance suck? I can't tell, I've been using Turbo UI Classic (Gingerbread) for the last few weeks. Games like 9th Dawn have a lot of lag. Guess I'll install Jellyzeus at some point and compare.
Phone will be fixed in next update (hopefully today, and yes CDMA patch should work) - the M2 MIUI Phone app is incompatible so I have to port AOSP telephony and dialer. Also fixed are browser, xLOUD and the Security Guard FC's.
After this next beta update I will be open to bug reports (logcats will help). Except for touchpads, that will be what I'm working on after next update.
