Hey guys,
This is a thread to get people more into development.
I've seen a lot of users making threads here, but some of them just clutter up the whole forum.
In this thread you can ask questions or answer questions about ROMs, kernels, mods etc. which just aren't big enough to make a whole new thread.
I've seen lots of great dev's around here, and I believe that with the right spirit this thread can become a great thing for beginning developers.
I'm a developer, well, ROM builder/modder/themer myself, and I would love to help people out too.
RULES:

Only ask about developing, NO OFF-TOPIC

There are some threads for porting, or building ROMs. Search on XDA and you'll go a long way

Yeah, that's a bit hard.
If you have a proper device tree you might be able to compile it, but you might want to learn some more about it first.

Please note that this is a very unstable, but nevertheless bootable, version of Android 2.2 for the X10 Mini - The first successful port to my knowledge. Don't expect anything to operate properly, apart from basic functionality - it's an experimental ROM in very early Alpha. All I'm doing is making it available for developer scrutiny and/or manipulation

As far as I'm aware, this is the first and only successful port of Froyo to the x10 mini/pro, so as the chap above said - "Why not?"
Hopefully somebody with a bit more knowledge can play around with it.
I'm gonna try to deal with it...AOSP should be much easier to port than Sense. Atm, I'm stuck with sense rild :// . Althrough I'm not top dev, just experienced enthusiast .
Cum on guyz at least anybody tried this......well i really appreciate ur work buddy.....but if it does nothing that we are still really far from the reality of 2.2

No need to get aggressive ....... I am not beta tester, assume me as noob as i am still on Stock(every thing) but rooted .... Yeah as Princenoob said that pic was from kolija Dumidummn a.k.a Coolya twitter account... And please dont get excited as the project is just started.... I mean it just booted and a lot of work needs to be done.
The reason i didn't mention any info is to let dev work freely so that none of us asks "whats the status....". He is member of teamhacksung, the team responsible for SGS CM7.
So cheers... Dont ask our trouble the dev, i assume he is working many hrs on it.. So be patient....
In order to keep ur patience, let me tell u one thing. It almost took half a year to port CyanogenMod to SGS but ours and SGS 2 will be done faster.

i am very sorry sir sandy7 for not taking your permission, and others for using their creations... i am just an enthusiast that loves your creation as well as the other contributors of mentioned ROMs... with my curiosity to seek my preference which was in 3 said roms, i decided to try and combined those three ROMs.. i dont know how to program android..my way was a trial an error, .i just look at the similarities of this 3 roms and tried to fused it..

ahh......you need not any device to dev for it.how does he expect you to use the rom? he does not! if one person out of thousands of people wont use this rom it does not bother to the dev nor to other people and nobody is forcing you to use this rom

installed rom....it is actually worth the name slim.....no useless apps..clean...light rom..dont know why...but it does not seem to differ other ics roms in terms of speed...same performance as other roms..

No the rom having custom kernel can't be used on locked bootloader .
