Internet Sharing not working - 7 Mozart General

I need some help with getting the Internet Sharing to work on Deepshining's WP7 Mozart ROM version 7.10.8858.136, the phone is supplied by Orange UK.
When I enable Internet Sharing I get the message 'Connection not shared - There's no mobile data connection to share at the moment. Check your mobile settings and signal, and try again.' this happens even if connected 3G with full signal. I flashed the phone with HSPL and Deepshining's ROM specifically for the Internet Sharing, and have searched the forums looking for an answer but cannot find anything to get it working.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

[Q] BlueTooth Tethering

Dear Members, I have searched and read several threads on this, but don't seem to find the exact answer I am looking for. I have an unlocked HTC Aria (AT&T Branded) currently running on Android 2.1. I am not particularly interested in changing the ROM as the phone does what I need (Calls, Messages, E-Mails, and Web Browsing). However I would like to also be able to do BlueTooth Tethering over to an Archos 70 IT tablet that I use for all the rest. I notice that the apps that would do this, all require ROOT. My question is, if I can ROOT my phone ONLY in order t be able to install any of these BT Tethering Apps? Do I still have to install a ROM, or will ROOTING not affect anything else?
I appreciate you comments and any suggestions that you might have.
Thank you very much.
No you can root and leave the stock rom in place.
Sent from my Liberty using XDA App
Thanks mtnlion!
Ok! So I rooted my device and installed WIFI Tethering. The program does start on my Aria and the wi-fi signal is picked up by my notebook, however it shows limited connectivity (basically no internet). Unless someone has any feedback, I would now assume that it is an issue of my phone not connecting to the network, however I have tried the web browser on my phone and it does work, I also tried BT Tethering but both devices will show "paired but not connected", and can't get passed this step, so any comments again will be much appreciated.
Thanks again,

[Q] Please help, Applications/Hubs not connecting via Wi-Fi network

Hi All, finally have my device with me.
Having problems setting up the data connections via wifi please help.
I have set up the wifi network on my device. The web browser works fine, no problem at all.
But when I click any application which requires internet connection, I am not able to connect via wifi.
Application example, Email, Gtalk , Gmail , Android Market etc..
All these applications work fine when I disable my wifi and use my SIM cards EDGE network for data connection. But as soon as I enable wifi these application give the error message , that they could not connect to server.
My wifi is working, the web browser works, I have checked.
Is there a setting which I need to enable so that the applications use the wifi network also for data connections ?
Please Help, this is my 1st android device, have I overlooked some settings which I need to enable ?
Any idea anyone, what setting have I missed
I am getting really desperate now, please please someone help me out.
I have searched the net,the forums, other forums....found similar posts , but no answers.
My GPRS is working absolutely fine with the apps,
wifi is working but only in browser.
I am not able to access any apps via wifi network.
For my wifi network I have to use proxy server, is that the reason for the apps not working via wifi ?
Is there a solution for it ?
I have searched the net,the forums, other forums....found similar posts , but no answers.

there were a couple of other users at various forums who were facing similar issues as to what I am facing, but no one was able to solve their query.
Please if anyone knows how to resolve my query please answer.

Internet Sharing stopped working on unbranded HTC Titan after Factory Reset

Hi,
I have an unbranded HTC Titan here in the UK, it's on an Orange business contract (now EE). Internet Sharing has always worked on it and I use it a lot for work so it's an essential feature.
Last week in the space of about 5 minutes my phone went from working perfectly to being unusable and being unable to boot. A quick Google around and I decided to do a Factory Reset. This fixed the issue but ever since I've not been able to enable Internet Sharing, I get the dreaded 'Connection not shared - There’s no mobile data connection to share at the moment. Check your mobile settings and signal, and try again.' message.
I got Orange to send a settings update via text to my phone but it didn't make any difference. I tried using a different SIM from a colleagues Android phone which is definitely able to use tethering but that did the same too.
Can anybody suggest how I get Internet Sharing working again please? Thanks.
+1 lost Internet Sharing
Hi,
i've lost Internet Sharing too after the official last update Orange Fr and HTC on my official stock rom.
Orange and Htc can't explain solution.
Internet Sharing work fine with custom, but ever since I've not been able to enable connexion Usb with Zune .
I'm searching solution !!

[Q] Connect to a Wlan Network but use mobile connection for internet?

Dear Community!
Like the title says, I want to know if I can connect to my Intranet over wlan, to use the data stored on the server, but at the same time I want to use my mobile connection for internet.
I hope there is a solution
have a nice day :fingers-crossed:
don't think that's possible.
But if you have a VPN server you can connect to this via Mobile Data.
Thanks for your answer
figured it out.
It is possible with Android lollipop

Can you share how you did it?
It seems like it's a feature of lollipop so I only updated and tried it. But it only works If the wlan network has no internet connection, the phone then grabs the mobile data connection to stay online.
