Compiling from source - LG Optimus L9 P760, P765, P768, P769

Hi, I am able to compile the kernel from source and get a zimage. I should be able to make a boot.img with it. Is there a way right now to push the boot.img via adb?

Thanks a lot. Feel great to see someone among us can compile sources. I have collected all sources and stored in mirror as I dont trust LG links, coz they keep disappearing. I have uploaded them to mirror for future reference.

I think Lelus, Artas182x and cgigate (maybe) and few others were experimenting pushing boot.img
I will search when I reach home and send you some users who did tried adb workarounds for rooting etc. Thanks again.

you can't use your boot.img due to bootloader locked. you can't flash any kernel with bootloader locked or you will obtain security error

Ok, I hope we find a workaround for this. BTW, the kernel source compiles really well and we can optimize it a bit more. I think.

[Q]How to load Xperia S kernel wifi modules?

Hello, everybody.I'am a college student, and my discipline is Software Development,I love android very much.so that i try to learn how to build a android kernel from source.
I have a kernel compiled from source for Xperia S ICS frimware, it works, the only problem is the wifi not work,
I've tried add the module to ramdisk source (bcm4330.ko), but it is not work.
So I can't use wifi with my kernel.
Please explain how I can compile them or what do I need to add to a file in the kernel source?
It's all over my head of how it works, but if it's any good for you i do have a cwm flashable zip copy of the wifi modules? Dunno if it'll help you in any way?

Does adb run as root by default? I know some Samsung devices you need a new adb binary to be able to use adb as root as they disabled it. I think it still allows you to su to root via adb shell, but won't allow root access otherwise.

Hmm just wondering, you do know that when you flash something to the wrong block, it can possibly lead to a brick. The reason I ask this is because the block you use for flashing isn't the good one. (msm_sdcc.1). You would better be good with mmcblk0p5. (which I think is the kernel partition).

Not sure but I think you leave the watch on the cradle then use a standard phone charger cable with a USB 5.0 on the power end. Then plug that into a computer.
