I just bought an HTC One X+ off craigslist yesterday, which appears to be a developer phone. It is rooted, unlocked and S-Off.

From what I have seen in the past it is next to impossible to "reverse engineer" s-off

Why is S-OFF so important? We can already flash custom ROMs and kernels, granted it's a 2-step process, but it's a minor "problem". What else would S-OFF give us besides bragging rights?
Bragging rights, flashing on the go, solution for the flashaholics, etc. Besides it's a goal and that's what's need for a greater knowledge.

A variety of other options like flash radios, special oem commands depending on bootloader, etc. For the average user it really is not that vital.

S-Off gives you many functions that you don't have with a standard unlocked bootloader. It unlocks fastboot commands like "erase" . It lets you flash protected partitions like hboot. Ect

So I was having a good time after installing the 3.6 scottrom ICS disabling all the sense stuff I won't be using and I noticed this application that I wasn't able to disable..anyone know the lowdown on this super nosy app..check out the permissions.. sketchy, the only info that I want to 'Tell HTC' is that thy need to hurry up with the offical ICS w/ Sense 4.0 so our devs. can chop-n-screw it...

Does a sim card carry all data? Being on the CDMA side of things I really have no idea of the answer to this question.
To me, this seems like a wonderful idea. I would definitely buy it. HTC should make a version of the Pad that is compatible with the EVO LTE (not likely but one can dream, right?).
I personally love the idea behind the padfone. Curious to see how it works out In the real world.

Just ordered the nexus 4..I know I'm not a dev but still I would like to say thanks to the devs that made this phone good.eclipse.ziggi.sportstarr and the nightmare team and many others.... It was fun being on this forum..I prolly won't root my nexus cuz it has what I want on it already and I don't wanna flash rooms on that as much as I did on this lol..so once again thanks ppl....

Honestly I was thinking about doing the same since T-Mobile restocked on the nexus 4.. I might be getting nexus 4 or going to iPhone 5.. I'm joining the Navy I doubt I would have time for flashing ROMs.
