FS - YP-G70 - Samsung Galaxy Player 5 - Samsung Galaxy Player 4.0, 5.0

I have a SGP 5(YP-G70) for sale. Figured I would ask here before I put it on EBay.
In like new condition. Works perfect.
Comes with a protective shell, 16G MicroSDCard, and Screen Protector(one on the device and an extra if I can find it).
Device has been rooted, and some apps removed, I can flash back to stock if needed.
(I removed G-Mail, didn't need multiple devices letting me know I had an email)
Looking for $150+shipping. (paypal payment)
PM me if interested.
Will post pics if interested.
Thanks for looking,
**EDIT**
Will also include box, and charger.
Will include the headphones if I can find them.

I believe this isn't the correct place to be selling your device, have you checked out the new XDA marketplace for phones and mobile devices?
Hope this helps. :good:

Four free HTC Wallaby cradles about to go in the garbage

Hi all,
I am posting this one last time, this time in general, as I just noticed that the Accessories thread doesn't get many posts any more and so people may not read it.
Basically, I have four free cradles to give away to someone in Australia (for the cost of postage). They have no power adapter, only USB and some other adapter thingy. These are untested as they were given to me a while ago but were not compatible with my phone (o2 XDA II).
The full thread is here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=659297
They will be in the bin by the end of the week as I am cleaning stuff out.
I also have an XDA cradle. Free to anyone who wants it if they can arrange collection/postage.
Im in Manchester UK

Adapter thingy?
If you still have the "adapter thingy" (see photo in Original Poster's linked earlier post), I'm interested. Please Private Message me in that case.
Innocuous Post 1
Sorry to anyone still subscribed to this old thread. Using it solely to hit 10 posts and provide feedback for my phone's ROM =/.
You shouldn't be trying to "hit 10 posts" in this way, it is not appreciated by XDA-developers. Post your ROM feedback in a non-dev. thread, that doesn't require 10 posts.

Samsung Galaxy Note II Retail Mode

I found this app in Samsung Apps for my Galaxy Note I and it had some really cool features so once I received my Galaxy Note II on October 1st and initially searched SA's to see if they were releasing the app for our Note II's.
Finally on October 16th Samsung finally released version 1.1.1. Be aware this is strictly for the Note II. I searched the entire SGN2 forum(s) to check if this was already posted and I didn't find a thing about it. I also wanted to see if anybody knew what this app is - again I found nothing.
So in the spirit of sharing without DRAMA (this is NOT a necessary app for all you nasty trolls out there who always seem to make rude and absurd comments) this is for all you who enjoy the perks of owning the coolest devices in the world.
I hope this downloads properly but if there is a problem let me know and I'll be glad to send it to anyone who asks. The only problem some of you may have is the size of the download, 86.93MB's. It'll be available on Google Drive within the hour. For those wanting it from Samsung just search "Retail Mode for Galaxy Note 2".
10/30 - UPDATE
I've tried to attach the link to download this app but for some reason I can't post attachments in my XDA Premium. I just posted this app simply because it's cool, fun, and the perfect answer to all those jealous iFanatics. And you will get immature comments and questions from every nosy butthead quizzing you about this BEAST. I don't say a word until AFTER they've seen the demos - actually they still ask if it really does all of that.
The Multi-Window screen shuts them up fast!
Yes, it does change a couple of settings and YES, you can retain the settings you had prior to install. There are a few tutorials videos within the app for those who are the brink of buying or for those who've never used a Galaxy Note before.
I never said it was necessary or needed, again I simply thought/think it's a cool. There was/is an app for the original Galaxy Note which serves the same purpose as this app does for this BEAST.It's just a fun, informative, and cool app to have around when you get those dumb, rude comments out of nothing more than pure jealousy.

It does sound like a fun thing to download. I will give it a try.

Do you mind sharing a link to the file? It's not showing up in my copy of SA
Download Retail Mode for Galaxy Note 2 at Samsung Apps.
Search for “Retail Mode for Galaxy Note 2″.
Install it and enter 5444 as password (Change password if you like)..
Enable service.
And you are ready to show off your powerful Samsung Galaxy Note 2.
Have a FUN!
Nice app but ur post is slightly misleading because you say features. This app is mainly meant as a demo mode interface. So triggering this app causes the note 2 to launch the demo mode (toggled from the app settings by enabling the service) and the device portrays the functionality of the Note 2 just like how u see in a store. So that's what its for. Its fun. But not exactly useful. Thanks for sharing. Cheers.

It's the application that the demo unit runs in store.
It's been around since Samsung Galaxy S1 for each Galaxy S phone (GS1, GS2, GS3) in Samsung Apps Store. I always installed it to show it to my friends
Searched and found this
Code:
[FAQs] Smart Phone : : What is the retail mode for Galaxy S2 in Samsung Apps?
A : It is for use in retail shop only for Marketing purposes –
For Customers: Do not download and install this application.
If this application activated, some functions like as screen lock &
screensaver are removed and it is not possible to restore them.
End-user / Customer does not need this tool. To prevent his use, there is a warning message and a password
setting requirement.
so not sure if that true or not
anyway thanks bro :good:
after i used the retail mode..

Yup after installing it, your lockscreen option will dissapper as samsung does not want their display handsets to be locked up by users.

i'm not sure what you consider to be cool and please dont take any offence by this reply, but this software is not cool it will **** you phone/tablet up, its used for LDU (local display units)
when you see a tablet/phone in a shop and its flashing through images of what the device can do that this app but it does so much more, blocks the lock screen can block wifi/bluetooth/3g has hunderds of permissions makes itself a device admin and worst of all rests your device every 24hrs
as i said i mean no offence and the only reason i have replyed is i was looking how to unistall this ****ing software and stumbled upon your post, i was sold a tablet with the software hardcoded TRUST ME YOU DONT WANT IT its a ***** to get rid of when its installed
I agree and I disagree!
YES I agree with just about EVERYTHING you're saying, I just wanted to point out that I DID in fact warn those who'd install this on their Note II that settings WERE/ARE overridden after install. I originally thought it was cool because (personally of course) I was able to grab a few images and a screensaver(?) I wanted at the time.
Actually I've grew tired of of Samsung' BORING products since they're all basically the same design theme over and over again plus the .02" screen upgrades aren't on par with the niche' market they created. I wanted a fresh, bold, and INNOVATIVE design I'd be happy with until the release of 4K (TRUE 4K) devices. I didn't/don't use my device as a visual capture tool, or want a device full of proprietary bloatware I'd NEVER use.
Yes sir, I graduated to the true beast of all smartphones/tablets presently available in the market today. Yes the Sony Xperia Z Ultra and it's worth every single penny I paid for it. Yes I know there downsides to owning such a device but I have yet to find any of them - this beast is perfect for ME and will keep me happy until the 4K devices finally are finally released.
But hey, Thanks for the heads of up man, I appreciate it, I sincerely do!
Beamed @ 17,500 mph from my Sony Xperia Z Ultra C6833! Service with a Smile!

[Q] 2 Free HDX7 from Amazon

I had 2 kindles lost in shipping. Called Amazon and they are sending 2 replacements. The originals arrived and I have the new ones. I called Amazon about returning the old ones and they said don't worry about it because they will be disabled anyway. My question is can the old ones be rooted so as to prevent the remote disable or is this connected to the serial number somehow to prevent anyway of saving these?
If you keep the two originals off and off of wifi until a bootloader exploit is found, then yes, you will be able to keep them for as long as you want.

Do the world a favor and lure a great dev over to the kindle side with a donation . I would assume they would be fine as long as they never went online before a custom Rom is put on them.

Who would be the best dev to donate this kindle to as far as cracking the bootloader and has the time to commit to it?

Well if your serious ask @Hashcode his opinion. He probably has some idea of the best kindle devs. Click the link and email him or one of the other devs currently working on this device. Or you could put up a post in general section asking this very question, I'm sure there will be some names dropped.
I'd be willing to donate to the cause to get some dev work on the HDX...specifically to help the guys working on getting the play store functional.

Hashcode has a 7", which he picked up for his daughter.
If you want, I can talk to a few of the guys I know, to see if they have the time. Stericson (Kindle Free & Busybox Pro) would be great, however, I would say to wait. Don't give it to a good dev, what we really need right now is a low level guy that has connections & a good understanding of Qualcomm's msm9615. There are a lot of low level things hanging up any other work right now, even custom roms, or true recovery. A bootloader guy with msm knowledge would be even better, but there really are only a couple that have been reversing BL & msm hardware for any real lengthy period of time.
I'll talk to a few of the old timers & see if I can come up with a name.

Cool, thank you. I know the hardware side of it but come up against a pretty hard wall when it comes to FW. Just never got interested enough to dive in. But if anyone needs a rework or replace an IC I can help.
Edit: I have 2x7" that I picked up for my kids, have to follow what hashcode is doing with kids specific. Can't futz with the kids stuff!
I could use one
I'll take one if you wouldn't mind I'm pretty new to much of this but I can't get better without something to test on and I don't have the money right now to buy one on my own. Plus, I would like to help any devs I can by testing their software and other ideas.

Missing some threads....

What happened to the "Case list for Galaxy Tab 12.2 / Galaxy Tab 10.1 / Galaxy Tab 8.4" thread? we had very go info and plenty of links for different cases also another missing is the "Tempered Glass for Galaxy Tab 12.2 / 10.1 / 8.4" thread......why they get deleted??
In one of them I even took the time to take pictures and host them for another forum member for him to see how the protector fit, and on the other after spending hours looking on the internet found some cases and posted them with pixs and all to then not find them......kinda annoying that you try to help forum members, take the time to do it and then the post gets erased........
Anything I should now that maybe I'm not aware of?
Please let me know what happened to the threads, Thank you.
Sort of wondering where the Glass Protector thread went myself, really hoping someone would finally announce one.

I am very curious about this myself. I was following
I agree, I put a bunch of posts in the case thread including pics and reviews,
why would it be deleted?
Any admin here can help to find why the threads are deleted?
shall we start another thread similar?

Weird?
What I find weird or strange is that not 1 Admin or Mod as come forward as to who and why they deleted the threads, why not just move them or condense/merge with other similar ones. (192 views and only 5 replies 1 of them being mine)
I might not be as active as others or have the knowledge as some here, but when i try to help i go all out and get in to it 100%.
This right here is making me think twice about helping since I see that my efforts, the sacrifice of my free time and the time wasted on the matter is of no relevance or important to the Admin's and/or Mod's.
I'll keep a look on this thread as I have a 8.4 tab to see the new development but I think I will keep what ever I find even if it's helpful to myself.
Was so exited for the new forum TAB PRO section and starting all fresh with helping find accessories, screen protectors and eventually flashing and trying new things and Rom's for our device, but after the deletion and more so the SILENCE about it ( no one willing to take responsibility for what they did even if was on porpoise or a mistake) kinda makes you wonder to want to help, for what? so it can be deleted afterwards with no explanation as of why or was there a rule broken or any info for that matter after you spend your free time and in my case even sleep to help.
As I mentioned before I go all out searching the web and trying myself before telling others to try something even make dl packs of what they need to do it, this info is only so you can see the time and effort it takes to help someone , once you're done you get that satisfaction of helping someone who loves the same thing you do tech wise and then........ see it all disappear is not fun!
agree.. admin please help and revert....

MODS, error in Galaxy S4 info on XDA

The verizon galaxy s4 (and maybe other variants, haven't checked) is listed as having a 5.50" screen on the main xda forum page for our variant. Just a heads up, I don't know if this is where to post this, so just delete when seen.
