On initial setup contacts storage, setup if you try to change time zone, sync stops working as it is experiencing problems, i have continued using the rom and havent had anymore force closes so it should be ok hopefully

Incorrect "insufficient space" msg during apk install -w/ gbsense-e3d-deck 1.0
Yesterday I installed the gbsense-e3d-deck 1.0 ROM from kushdeck. This ROM has been running smooth with great battery life. I now have one issue with my phone which other users of this ROM don't seem to have.
When I attempt to install a new app from the market I get this message during install......
"Error
Error downloading "app name here"
There is insufficient space on the device"
I have ample space available on both my phone and SD card. I don't know if this an issue with the ROM, something to do with 2.3.4 and the market, or simply the way I have things configured. I am a newb on this forum, so please don't flame me too badly. I didn't post this in that particular ROMs thread because the forum won't allow me to. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

Did you try rebooting the device and then trying again? If that doesn't work try going to Settings>Applications>Manage Applications and select the "All" tab and scroll down to market and touch it. Then clear data and reboot the phone and see if that works.
Tried both suggestions with no luck. My Amazon app store is giving me the same message, so I can now rule out the market itself.

That happened to me with ViperRom. Reboot into recovery, wipe cache and wipe dalvik, then reboot. Hope this helps...

No prob! I suggest wipe dalvik/cache before install, then right after so the system starts clean.

I flashed back to stock 2.3.4 out of my recovery and restored everything with Titanium Backup. Now whenever I try to open Gmail its force closes. I tried clearing cache and it didnt do anything. I tried uninstalling but it says I cant. I wiped Dalvik, cache and data before restoration. Any suggestions?

Try going into manage apps and clear data for gmail. It will have to re sync after but it sounds like restored data ia conflicting. Clear data on gmail app
It randomly just took off and started working out of nowhere. Haha. Thanks though.

I m using an X.Mini on Mesa Kernel 1.4 and stock rooted ICS.
I uninstalled Sony s crap,I restored my apps with Titanium Root,
rebooted, wiped dalvik cache but now I m getting the message that Android is upgrading and starting applications on every boot.
Plus it takes more than usual to complete each restart.
So,what should I do?
Maybe wipe cache partition?
There must be a solution!

Just fixed that by
Code:
adb remount
adb shell rm /system/framework/com.google.widevine.software.drm.jar
Don't know why, it just works.

wow... dont know buddy!!!
if yhu delete TB odex, it wont work but try it & lets know....!
The odex delete didn't work.
The Titanium uninstallation/installation was what did the trick, though!
Hope I helped someone else too!
BTW,reboot took 65 sec in total.

dont understand yhu buddy....
Me too, I don't quite understand what happened. It looks like your dalvik cache gets wiped every time you restart. However I don't think Titanium Backup has that behavior. Maybe you created a bug when you deleted some system apps? It's difficult to remove system apps since the install is odexed by default AFAIK.

If you use Systemapp Remover (paid app) it will handle that for you.
@OP and anyone else, yes, if TB is messed up it can cause the wipe of dalvik cache on every reboot. No it is not a setting, but if you messed with an app with out deleting the odex then yes it can screw up things on you cache. But thats not because you deleted the app with out odex, it would mainly be the way TB handles that leftover odex. Most likely it just leaves it there.
Best thing to do is reinstall TB, if it happens again, boot to cwm, wipe cache and dalvik, then fix permissions. After first reboot, wait for system to settle then reboot once more just to check its not doing it. Then go into TB, just run it. Don't delete any apps, then reboot again, with TB running in the background and see if it happens again.
If it does then it is a problem with either that TB version, or with your .apk. so either download it again or try a different version. Or wait for an update.
Another possibility is the way your rom is handling TB removing apps. In which case you rom is messed or again its the TB version not working correctly for your fw.
Cheer, hope I helped,
Evil.
I don't understand the technical aspect of this but in practice it did work!

Dats ICS Feature.....
for me the best way possible to solved this problem is to disable TB from auto-backup your apps....also it will be more practical to fix permisson (using Rom Manager & etc) after you have restore a backup from TB....
while i do have TB on my phone, i prefer to use SystemApp Remover (paid apps) cause it is a simple apps for remove/backup your apps....
I've tried several ROMs on my Neo MT15i, rooted, unlocked bootloader, alliance kernel 1.5, firmware .587. Now I'm on Thilinac Ice cream pureness 14 sp1. Everything is working well..... but... Every time I reboot the phone I MUST clean cache and Dalvik cache via CWM recovery. If I don't do it , after booting several apps go force closing in loop and the phone is unusable. I've had this problem also with other ROMs like Jelly-Sandwich, any release. Tried also to format sdcard without benefit.
Thank you for help
Try clearing app data from settings!
Then,reboot

Unfortunely it doesn't work....
It afflicts every app I install as user, either in system /data, or in sdcard.
After installing a new Rom, on a clean system, I use titanium backup to re-install my apps.

I do this every time I install new ROM
I've formatted system, data, cache, everything. Than reinstalled the ROM (Ice cream Pureness 14 sp1).
when booted I didn't reinstall anything from Titanium and tried a reboot......... As usual, Gmail and Google playstore
went FC loop. GMail and Playstore are apps coming with the ROM .... Than I rebooted in recovery, wipe cache and dalvik cache and .... all run perfectly and smooth... The problem is still there.
Next time I'll try formatting all, reflash firmware .587, and than reinstall ROM.

Exactly. I had this problem with JellySandwich too, I tried several ROMs, but, at last, what I like more is IceCreamPureness for its balance , smothness and for very good battery life.

The problem is related to the moving of apps to sd card or in system partition. It afflicts the managment of dalvik cache
