Are there any display color/gamma tuning options for the OG display?
I know PA for the Nexus 4 has multiple kernel options for contrast/color/gamma tweaking. Is there a way to do that on our devices?

When we get a modded kernel

Been using trickster mod, cuz I love it and it seems not to have caused too much incompatibility except for s2w. But I am concerned that it may not utilize all abilities of the kernels being devd. And some things may not stick at times ... I'm NOT s-off yet if that would make a different.
Kernel tuner seems to be the popular alternative and pimp my Rom claims to be universal between phone/Rom/kernel...
Any reasonable suggestions/specifications I should use one over the other.. I appreciate any/all replies.

have you tried kernel tuner? it updates weekly, lots of options and pretty stable.

I did... But didn't delete trickster and they conflicted.. so I deleted tuner until I could commit ..thank you for your input

I know it's so old school, but (FWIW) I'm still using SetCPU.
system tuner works best for me. Kernel tuner never works on my phone right and setCPU is too old school

Ill def check that out... The ONLY thing I like about kernel tuner is that it allows for multicore decision making. Per core freqs, govs n such. Don't think any other app cept maybe faux can do it...also kernel tuner has been known to overwrite or affect at least some of crpalmer and/or zarbos built in modules.. this I dislike. Trickster on gnex seemed to adapt to the kernel and its available features... i Ill do system tuner now and take a gander ...thx for a different option... Exactly what I was looking for

I use both Kernel tuner and set cpu. KT is the best as far as options tho hands down

*NOTE* I have switched the kernel base to CM's from stock so it can properly support the CM ROM. This will mean dated releases instead of the numbered releases. It also means that it's possible that it won't work with older CM builds and may not work properly with stock at all. Sorry for any inconvenience. I will try to stay on top of CM's kernel changes as much as I can and will update when I see an update on their end or when adding new features.
Code:
/* NON-STANDARD DISCLAIMER:
I understand that if I disable fsync I am liable for any possible data corruption that could result. While dynamic fsync has been added, there is still the risk of data corruption.
*/
NOTE: Remember this is beta and it may not work on everyone's device

A few tweaks for now. Overclocking and voltage control. I also added the simple GPU governor.
It's a zimage kernel so if you wanted insecure you'd need to flash that one first before this one.

At some point probably. I just wanted a basic feature set and release something that has some benefits over stock.

Interested in this too!!!
Hello! I have discovered a way to improve gaming performance, as well as overall phone performance. These tips/tweaks have been tested by me several times on ALL Cyanogen Mod roms, and the results were positive :good:
Follow the following instructions!
Go to SETTINGS and scroll down to open up PERFORMANCE ( on CM10.1, CM10.2 and CM11 you will need to click on BUILD NUMBER several times until a notification appears saying 'you are now a developer' for the PERFORMANCE and DEVELOPER OPTIONS to appear)
Change the 'governer' to SMARTASSv2
Then change the e/s to 'sio' (it is recommended for dual-cored devices)
Now go all the way back to DEVELOPER OPTIONS, scroll down and change ALL the WINDOW TRANSMISSION (or something like that ) to .5 or 0 if you like
After that select FORCE 2D GPU RENDERING
If auto-brightness is selected disable it as it consumes alot of power and keeps the cpu working high
Once all these steps are completed reboot your phone
NOW TEST ANY GAME AND YOU'LL REALISE THE IMPROVEMENT IN PERFORMANCE !!!
You know that switching to ART improves CPU performance 2x

Tbh I've never seen this thread
Sorry for any inconvenience
Hello to all.
Sorry if I open a new Thread, but I really don't find nothing about.
I I would like to know if exixt a Script (working), or an App (working) to:
* Greatly increase the Sensitivity of Touch.
* Change the Colour Range (Gamma) and /or Screen RGB
I found some App for both (Touch and Screen Colors), but I don't see any perceptible result. :crying:
My Kernel is Siyah v6.0b5 on JB 4.1.2. I love this Kernel precisely because hisTouch is much reactivity and the Display colors are fantastics!
I want to change Kernel (to reduce energy consumption), but changing Kernel I lose these fantastic features.
Can anyone help me?
Thanks in advance.
Use dorimanx kernel ... it includes all syiah features and some more ... also it haves touch screen setting and gamma settings
