Andypad Pro - RK2918 Tab Odys-Loox rocks with Jelly Bean ! - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Longtime lurker here, and since I cannot post on the original thread here goes:
Thread I am referring to:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1903745&highlight=andypad
I installed this rom on my AndyPad Pro
Everything seems to work, but there is one gripe.
The touchscreen regesteres "clicks" on wrong places.
When I want to f.eks. click on the back button(located bottom left corner), I have to click in the upper right corner to "hit" it.
Also swiping to the left moves the screen to the right and vice versa.
Wondering if there is a solution that I can apply to this problem since my poor old tab is listed as compatible in this thread.
Thanks.
Z.

[Q] guys- im sure you'll understand how bad it is

guys, i got my x10 dev for like 1 month.
i just love it- its my first android phone (eventhough i read alot in this forum and get pissed about SE's sh*t about 2.1 ftoyo Mt etc. just like you ), but suddenly something terrible happened to me.
the arrow in the lockscreen suddenly betrayed me and went to the other side- i mean it just went to the other direction (the whole track +the lil arrow ) just like its mirrored.
it wasw like that- ( - from left to the right in a "rainbow" (sorry for my horrible english)
and now its like that - ) - from the right to the left
so guys u gotta help me please i tried to fix it but i dunno how
edit:
yeahh i solved it alone! u touch the edge of the track and grab it to the other direction left\right.
thanks for any 1 who would help me anyway^^ i like this forum keep it pro
just press the top of the end point and slide it towards the other direction.
It's an option to make the lock screen ergonomically perfect as well for people using their left hand to unlock as for those who use their right hand. I actually think it's pretty cool, since I'm left-handed
Like mohdameer said before, press the top end of the bow in the lockscreen and just drag it to the left.
Cheers

Does your Screen also have a yellowish/brownish tint on the left side of the screen.

Last week monday I got my Galaxy SII. Fantastic Device! But the screen had an ugly yellowish/brownish tint on the left side of the screen so I decided to send it back and ask for a return unit.
Yesterday I finally got it, only to realize that it also has the yellowish tint on the left side, especially on low brightness levels but you can still notice it on the highest brightness level ( the seal of the box was closed so I'm sure ist was a new one).
I don't think I can live with the screen. So I'will probably have to return it again.
So my question is, does your phone also have this Problem?
Or do think the shop I ordered from recieved a faulty batch?
Lol!! Most of the s2 models have this problem, flash some latest rom and your problem will be gone.
Considering you as a newbie, search before posting next time, this problem has been discussed so many times, and even a separate thread is running for that.

Search before u post
Sorry for creating a new thread, I normally use the search function but I was writing from my phone and the battery was dying.
I'm on the newest firmware KK5 (2.3.6) and the Problem is still there, though not as bad as in version 2.3.3 that the device shipped with.
Can you name a firmware that doesn't have this Problem?
On a different note: how can a device that has been out for more than 6 month still have problems like this? :mad

Mine have this problem. Sure it's a software related problem? (I can't find the related posts)

glitches ?!

I am having several glitches that I am trying to pinpoint maybe you guys can help...the first one is in my browser...if I goto the main forum page for the 717, choose a sub forum and scroll down the threads and stop somewhere in the middle and wait a sec I will get a graphics glitch at the top of my note. It flashes something about 1/2 inch long the whole width of the screen just for a split second..no big deal but it bugs the **** out of me. That's not the only place it happens but a example that happens all the time.
The second thing is Swype..sometimes it works flawlessly and sometimes it has troubles..eg the back button sometimes will not go back character by character however the hold on the back button will delete the whole word. One time it had problems with the "s" it would not register it to save its life..
I am running saurom rc4 with the att fix, record fix, back button fix, and transfusion theme. Installed root and cwm through Odin.
I love my Swype and I could not think of any other way to input on my phones/tablets. I just hope that there is a fix for it.
This note is amazing and its sad to see there isn't alit of devs jumping on the device.. I understand it is too big for most as phone and that's the main reason for the lack of support and the lite number of sales/high number of resales.
I am a tall person with large hands and I love the device..it fits in my hands well without being too awkward.

Anyone else have a problem flashing the latest 803/v3 firmware? I've also tried the CoinCity rom but couldn't see anything new...exactly the same for me.

Changing the lcd density to 245 makes everything looks awesome

Can you boot normally?

no, recovery is made through holding volume up and pressing power button. After you see androind with "no command", release up button and press shortly power button. Then in menu: volume down-scrolling through menus, volume up-enter/ok.

Hi, could anyone help me with Adobe Flash? I installed Opera Classic and Opera for Android, tested my pages meteo.pozorka88.cz/teplomer.php and realized that flash doesn't work. Tried icon Flash player settings, finish with Opera and also built in browser but nothing happened. Help please.
I just came across this phone and am considering purchasing it. Before I do, can anyone comment on the pros and cons of the phone? What I am most interested in is the screen as far as viewing angles. I have contemplated the Alcatel Fierce (which has similar guts as this) but was really disappointed with the viewing angles - if you are not looking at it straight on, it gets all washed out/dark/bluish looking. If this phone has a better display than that I may consider getting the GT99.
Thanks all.
I have it few weeks with CoinCity 2.0 ROM.
Pros:
-display
-nearly excellent camera-does detailed pictures
-GPS problems can be fixed with a piece of wire connected to the gps connector-further contact from camera lens. GPS fixes faster and has stronger signal. This week I tried it in my car and capitol city Prague and with some version of Sygic it had ~400m lag from real position of my car. After update to newest version it has no lag. But when standing on lights, arrow moves around my position. Do you remember "static navigation" switching on Sirfstar chipsets? This is exactly what it is about.
-back silicone cover included
-it's fast, no lags
-no trash in stock rom and even more no trash in CoinCity ROM
-good speaker, my wife often says, that I am absolutely deaf, in Cubot I hear everything (I want )
-cheap (banggood.com: 146USD with voucher, free delivery and well packed and on envelope marked as cheap MP4 player for customs reason).
Cons:
-I'm bored from typing anything on display-a lot of mistypings, uncomfortable.. As I had xperia mini pro SK17 and HW keyboard was absolutely comfortable for me
-only one colour led (blue)
-hw under display keys lit only when touched, not with display. Not very easy to find back button on first touch.
Others:
-still did not find ideal contacts and dialer app, as the built in (Coincity) is stupid. I have ConTacTs from some japanese (I think) developer, it is nearly ideal, but could be better.
I appreciate your quick response...not to pester you, but could you tell me about the display? Does it wash out/black out if you tilt the screen too much one way or another?
No problem. I tried to read SMS from ~80degree angle left/right/up/down from direct view and I think I could read it (but the shiny display behaves as mirror, so it is the only reason for hard reading from that angle). No problem with colors, yes, white is not so white as when it directly lights to your eyes. If you mean normal tilt, with normal use, ie. say 45 degree, you will not see any difference from direct view.
I know what you mean from my old camera, where lcd display shows something totally different when looking directly and when lcd slightly tilted. This is not the case with Cubot.

Thanks for the detailed feedback. This seems like a great phone, especially for the price...unfortunately, after further research I have found that this phone will not work properly with AT&T or TMobile in the US.
Good luck to everyone else.

So, given Roms to date are CoinCity 2.0, MIUI v5.3.19, some Samsung clones plus some other stock ones regarding needrom.com. Does anyone of you who owns a cubot gt99/XYZ X1 phone could confirm one of them being the best? Some hints for me on how to start giving my new cubot gt99 a good start?

[Q] Need to unroot and remove Cyanogenmod for warranty repair

Hello all. I'm hoping someone can give me some tips here.
My Xperia z2 tablet has a cracked screen which is apparently serviceable under the seller's warranty, but I need to make it so that the original firmware / software etc is intact. I hope that makes sense.
The tablet is rooted and is running Cyanogenmod.
Can someone point me in the right direction?
Thanks!

Sorry - I should also add that due to the screen crack, the whole right hand half of the touchscreen no longer works, which makes things harder again.

Update: I now managed to flash an FTF I downloaded so it appears Cyanogenmod is gone, but unfortunately it's in Russian (I think) and I can't read the setup menus - or press the 'next' button, which is in the bottom right of the touchscreen.
Maybe you should try some sort of remote control software like VNC?
