No. You cannot turn it on with L9 ICS Stock ROM. It support only MTP. If you want to partition SD you must use CWM or Card reader.

Is the mouting sd card in cwm faster then mtp? I don't now why lg or google deleted such things like mass storage, app to sd.

So how can I use the internal storage? I'm so stupid that I had forgot to backup the internal storage before I flashed the ROM...
if i dont have an external sdcard and ive wiped my phone, is there a way for me to connect my phone to the computer to transfer files while im in recovery?
Its possible using adb push to /data/media
Make sure you dismount after copy or recovery wont see the file

No usb mount option in SGS3..connect adb..type adb push/pull /path of the target /path of destination.
Or if you are good at edify/busybox..create a updater script to flashed via CWM

Are you rooted?
Are you on about the CWM or do you mean the stock recovery without root?
hi
was rooted, but all back to stock now.just tried to put jb zip on,then seen no internal sd.

You need to root the phone first mate. Then once you have got CWM then you will have access to the internal memory and the external sd card partions of your phone mate.
Hope this help

maybe you should remove the SD card before returning to ICS
Try MiniTool Partition Wizard 8.0 (its free)
Delete partition from SD, make new one (FAT32, primary).
