why on earth would you want ics (4.0.4) when you already have jelly bean (4.1.1)?! there is no possible reason i can think of...
It would help to know what kind of tablet it is and your reason for wanting to downgrade. Depending on your reason, it may not be needed.

Hi everyone,
I have two Chinese tablets ( nonames) with Android ICS that I have already rooted
and I would like to flash a Custom ROM Jelly Bean on it.
I have never flashed a device before.
I dont know even what ROM is compatable to this device.
What I would need to know first before I would ever try to flash it.?
I really do not want to brick it. :crying:
Thanks in advance for all suggestions.
You're going to have to provide more details before anyone can help you.
Going to need to know the manufacturer, tablet specs, model number.
Flashing is different for all tablets so unless you can identify it, there is no way to tell you the proper procedure.
Hi everybody! hoping everything will be allright.
Yesterday i bought htc Sapphire Also known as HTC magic 3g (Not slide).
It have android 1.5 version.
Now i want to upgrade its version to latest available for it.
Please experts tell me what is the best latest available version for it (I am thinking that it would run Jelly Bean 4.1 if so, its great).
And please also refer me a very noob tutorial step by step how to update it because i have never bought android phone so thats why i dont know much as you all know.
Please Help me i already posted in other forums but they didnt reply because i think my English is bad thats the reason behind, but i assume that XDA community is the best ever for helping.
Thanks in Advance.....
Hi everyone, I'm a newbie here and I couldn't find any solid answer (at least one I am capable of doing) for my problem. I am currently running Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean on my Galaxy S3. When I try to check for Software Updates, a message appears saying "Your device has been modified. Software updates are not available". I really want to get the new Premium Suite upgrade, but apparently I won't be able to get it with this problem. I'd really appreciate if anybody has a solution for my problem... Lastly I have to add I neither tried rooting my phone nor I have any practical info about it. There's a screenchot attached. Sorry for any errors in my English

Download stock 4.1.2 from Sammobile and odin it on.
Just re-root if you need to.
Thanks for the answer. However, after uninstalling and reinstalling Kies it managed to connect my phone; I haven't tried updating yet but I hope it'll work.
