I would like to start by saying hi to everyone who helps to contribute on this website
its no surprise that even if we have our phone locked (with pin/pattern/password) anyone can STILL turn the phone OFF,
Making this flaw an advantage for thieves......So ive been searching around and havent beem able to find any solution to this.
Im an xperia P user, so its not possible to remove the battery (thus turn the phone off) and few persons know about reset method (power + volumen)
I would like to know if there is a way to disable/remove/hide power off option until phone is unlocked, or find a workaround to help this issue, (maybe wake up screen with camera key......etc)
I believe this is a obvious bug that Should be fixed......once this issue is resolved it would be a Must have Mod or App.....

i think this option is not a bug but necessity, what will we do if we are locked out and don't remember pin/pattern etc? with a non-removable battery this will cause major disassembly.
If u can't remember your pattern or pin u shouldn't be using this feature, on the other side if u forget ur pin u can still reboot with power + volume, and access CWM.

The goal is to block the thief from turning off the phone and be able to call it and find it. If they can turn it off there isn't much u can do..... Hope I make my point clear as English is not my primary language.....

Hey everyone, Just been browsing the website for an answer to my question and have so far not found one (please set me right if there IS an answer).
My question is: Is there ANY way to disable the power button menu when the X10 is locked?
I keep on finding the phone has inadvertantly switched to silent or flight mode, which is very frustrating, not just for me, but for my other half when she is trying to contact me.
I have found a thread about an HTC HD2 and the power button, but this is for the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10.
It must be possible, I have seen other phones that stop the use of the power button when the phone is locked...
If ANYONE can help me, I would be so so grateful....

MIUI and probably CM have that option built in Settings.
So maybe a developer working on either of these, could answer that.

after i discovered that my lil sis knows my password i decided to change it but unluckily i ended up forgetting my
lock pin so any advices would be helpful

In my personal experience with my S3. I had to enter recovery mode using key presses and do a factory data reset to restore functionality of the phone. If you could tell is which phone you have we may be able to point you in the right direction.

Hi everyone, i'm using CM9 ROM and i'm facing a problem with proximity sensor...
When in a call, the screen don't turn off and then it gets locked...
To end the call I have to unlock the screen and tap on end button...
Does anybody have the same issue?
I love CM9 ROM, but I always have to change to stock (since this is not the first or second time I see this), this bug really piss me off
Tried many kernels but the problem persist

Well, every time I flash CM9 i get this thing...
It's weird, cos I've never seen someone with this problem =/
I'll search for a fix... No succes till now...

Tried to test everything and realized that even auto brightness is working...

im trying to disable forever that annoying Power saver mode that disables mobile internet when screen off in htc phones(not only the notification).
By now, i figured out it has something to do with power.saving.mode, but i cant find a detailed explanation on the forums, and testing on it didnt have significant changes.
Can someone help me please? Google also cant find a detailed explanation on this matter, only different settings.
pd: i dont mean disabling it in settings menu, because it activates itself again.
I´ve read that in some devices, service menu gives the option to disable some sort of power saving mode, but in this model codes wont work (*#*#4636#*#* wont give that option)

Freeze the app if you are rooted ..... Or disable using a guide posted in general forum

If i do so, the whole energy option dissapears...is it possible to do so without sacrificing the whole thing?.
maybe it would be easier to customize it, i mean, set it to launch at 5% instead of 14%, but i have to look how as i dont have a clue to do so, or even if its possible.

Hello. I dont find The forum for Z Ultra. I have some problem. I have bought phone long ago. The phone not be damaged or Any some problem... But now after factori reset į writing whit phone so fast text and its like bug, o dont push screen but phone his pushing likę it be automatic push I need lock screen and when unlock its stop not pressing, after 30-50minutes its happend again. Have Any idea how to fix?
