battery issue - Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo, Pro

I've been using SJB v2.5 for more than 10 days and it has a very good battery life. .normal usage battery life last for almost 2 days and charging time last for more than an hour.
after some time (2 days to be exact) my phone starts to heat up even though im not using it (on standby) and my battery only last for 6 hrs (7hrs at max) and charging time last for 3 hrs!
I've tried another rom coz i thought its a rom problem but battery problem persist, the battery is not hot but the phone itself heats up. .
any one can help me?tnx in advance and suggestion. .

Its quite normal....... I am using the Same ROM. And its not a bug with SGSII v7, it used to happen even when I had my phone as pure stock with no roots. Its problem with the Battery indicator.

Yes i have. I guess the battery just drop very fast at first. Just unplug for a few mins after fully charge, it drops to 94%.

Batt stats are very inaccurate, most appear to drain quickly in the first 80% then slowly for the last 20%. However its worth doing an 8 hr charge every so often (preferably with phone off) because battery uptake can get lazy over time. Particularly with Samsung.

Nope, I usually use my phone for music playing and web browsing over wifi.
If I only listen 2 music(8-9hrs a day), the battery goes down to only 35%. And Gaming depends which type of of games are played, in case of HD gaming(which demands more than 40MB RAM. the charge will drop at a rate of abt 10% every half an hr. Based on my daily experience.
Thks for the reply. Nevertheless a good rom. I shall continue even if battery drain abit much.

The post I responded to was talking about gaming + music all day. If 8 hours of music gets you to 35% then it will only take (by your calcs) 1.5 hours gaming to kill the battery inside that same 8 hours. Hence me saying 5-8 hours.

Question about Custom Rom battery vs Stock ICS Rom

So after 2-3 weeks of playing with stock ics rom which i update over the air, i decided to root and install custom roms. I flashed Speed Rom 4.0. However, I feel like that the stock ics rom battery is just better than the custom rom. My use of amaze for a day is 2-3 hours of listening to music, 2-3 hours of web browsing, 2 hours of gaming ( tower defense ) and that's when I come back home and my stock rom battery is left with about 30%. However, when I flashed custom rom, I notice that my battery drain faster than before and after a regular day of using I only end up with about 10% left. Anyone has insight on such problem like this?

I mostly care that my battery can last through a day. My NRG ROM will give me a day easily, with about 1 - 2 hours of screen on time over the period. A lot of it depends on the strength of the 4G cell towers around you (in my experience); the phone uses more juice when seeking towers. The latest NRG is pretty good at not "hunting" for 4G.
Yeah... Looks pretty common I guess for a phone that's screen was hardly on

It seems battery is always an issue with android. But if you're using a stock ROM and kernel with light usage it's kinda strange maybe the battery is weak. Are you playing games? If so, it drains the battery so fast.

You should not let the phone discharge past 30 percent battery. Never completely dry your battery, you have damaged it.
Get more batteries, and a wall battery charger. They are cheap, you can forget about plugging your phone, and you can carry extra batteries. Never completely discharge them, and charge them full each time.

battery drain during browser navigation

Hi guys !
i'm with wanam+latest boeffla stable.

I have no wakelocks or strange things..dolphin consume even more than screen on. Is it normal ?

1% for 2 minutes , 100% is 200 minutes which is a little over 3 hours .
it could be "normal" if battery dies in 3 hours more or less.

I know, for example now, I have 3 hours screen on, music and Wi-Fi, still has 38% battery, 38% can easily last 10 hours or so of standby with Wi-Fi or 3G. Which isn't usual for me because it used to be battery dead by now .
Just wanna say, be happy with what you have, more you expected, more disappointed you will be.

Viper

I have yet to have a phone that did not get improved via battery life from a custom ROM, even just a debloated and streamlined version of the stock one. Fully stock roms tend to just have too much crap on, and in, them to have wrangle out max battery life, max performance, or a truly optimal mix of both.
Using NOS underclocked to 1GHz undervolted 75mv across the board all set to conservative and 10 hours later 3+ hours of screen on data downloading GPS etc 60% Battery Remaining... Very nice

No tricks or apks, just always turn off locations, wifi and bluetooth when not using ans auto-sync always off. Also disabled many bloat apks that I will never use.

I'm getting 16-20 hours with around 4 hours on time. I'm underclocked and undervolted , brightness at 25% most of the time, and I just supercharged my phone so I'm waiting to see if that'll help it. I know I've got my standby battery drain down to one percent every 2.5hours. Left it off the charger last night and it was at 98% when I woke up 5.5 hours later. Just gotta play with the settings and tweaks.

I get good battery life most of the time. But I am at the ball fields with my kids a lot with no way of charging mine or my wife's phone.
So I got me an Anker portable battery and it saves me all the time. I purchased the Astro E4 13000mAh Dual USB so me and my wife can charge our phones at the same time without looking for a outlet or going to the car. We can both charge our phones 3 times each on this thing before its dead.

As far as battery life is concerned, wifi > 3g > 4g.
But if you're not connected to a wifi network, leaving wifi on will drain your battery. It may not be by much, but I always turn wifi off when I'm not on wifi.
