[Q] after jelly bean firmware update - Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi, i recently upgraded my firmware to jellybean and i wanna know what can i remove to make my phone more smooth or less laggy??

i did that. but can i remove some samsung apps or other apps that is useless for the phone? are there any uninstaller that can do that?

If your phone is rooted an app called titanium backup or root explorer I use both

It doesn't matter. Any RAM not being used is wasted. Android will free up any that it needs, when it needs it.

I feel your pain. I flash stock ROM with Odin every week. I just switch roms 70 times a day but can you locate me to the files that I need to delete? I just want to check out if it works.

Yes you can. I am actually using one right now.
You will basically set a live wallpaper in your homescreen and set your lockscreen to transparent.
How do I do that?

I was able to do it using Wanamlite 12.3 ROM though.. what is your ROM by the way?
I went to recovery mode and 'fix permission', after that my lockscreen became transparent.. lol simple isn't? ;D

Download Agile Lock app and it will set your lwp as ur lockscreen wallpaper too...
Me too on stock 4.0.3 & I've tried it.

FMR-free memory recovery

As you know we have a problem with the ram useage so sometimes we need to restart the device to fix it,I found this app that do the same thing as we do in restart,everytime I see that no matter how many apps I close I still don't get enough ram I use this app and it free the ram so I don't need to do restart.

4.1.2 Root?

hey guys I recently updated to stock 4.1.2 via kies but now my root is gone and after doing some looking around, I couldn't find anywhere where they had a root out for this firmware. anybody know if there's development going on for rooting? I want to take out all of these bloatware apps and modify my phone a bit

Yes. I think the safest version is 4.3 onwards.

actually roms from 4.1.2 are safe from sds so it's realy recommended to flash to that versions or higher. make sure to backup your efs folder or imei/nv data
