Hi Guys,
I have bought a new Xperia P and cannot deviede which ROM should i run on,
I have flashed the following stocks ROMS but none of the fixes the camera issue,
LT22i_6.1.1.B.1.54_EUROPE
LT22i_6.1.1.B.1.54_Generic World
Sony Xperia P_6.1.1.b.1.75_Generic World
I have flashed the above more than 15 times but still cant figure out what is the best ROM to use,
I have read several posts on xda and sony support site which says the for some ROMs, there is cracking sound issue, camera has more noise,
Can someone tell which is the best roms in terms of speed? camera quality? and sound quality,
Appreicate your time and support!
Basically, latest version always the best.
But I'm still on .54 fw. Too lazy to upgrade.
For camera bug, there are already solution to fix in Xperia P Development section. Search it.

You haven't reported in as well
All ROMs are different. Just go to development section and find the one who suites you best.

Hi all.
Well my question was that if the firmware ROM is Xperia S was real, because the supposed "developer" had posted a preview, then closed its subject because it was insulting (some troll or not) and that the published today, but after that I delete his subject, the question is only that if there really because multiple users (from another forum) we're hoping if they had neither case have published their advancement.
First of all, Xperia S has no official ICS, it will come after 2011 Xperia line has received the ICS.

I don't check the Xperia S section.
Since Xperia S has different chipset than 2011 Xperia series, porting might be a problem.
Of course, I am not sure, as I am not aware of porting at all.
There are already ICS ROMs for these phones, also you can find some of the Xperia S apps in Themes/Apps section for Stock ROM. Better than nothing.
It is not from Xperia S. It's from one of the 2011 Xperia Line that get the official ICS. So Kamarush adapted it. You can find it on the Development section.
did anyone try Kamarush ICS Rom Yet ??

Yeah best ics rom for me,fast ,good looking less bugs than fxp's rom
but ics is coming soon..!
Folks, I am not a modder but I have been using MODs for quite sometime. This forum is intended for all newbies out there waiting for their questions to be answered from how-tos to why-nots. Please feel to raise your questions, I will try to answer all your questions.
Ok. First question.
Why do we need another thread for Q&A, when we already have STICKY thread in THIS section, with similar name, and even if we don't, this entire section is for Q&A's
Ok den i have a question can you suggest me best ics rom for neo v with locked bootloader & stock kernel.
But everything should be working there should be any bug.and that rom should be fast and tweaked.
Is ka21.1 ics a good rom?

Mayank,
Shardul Seth's ICS ROM is good to start with. I have tested all his previous versions and the current version too. The instructions are on http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1603919
He uses a slightly modded Stock Kernel which is smooth and has enough governors on it. If you are stuck in one of the insturctions, I can help you with that.

Reyearthlings,
It's a terrific ROM. It has it's own limits. krabappel2548 has added new Jellybeans addons in this MOD. If you have used ICS KA2x.x before, this would be a cake walk. I would suggest you to give it a try.

Madfysh,
I am no where near your experience at XDA. If you this is not worth it, I would delete the thread right away.
Thread closed, as it's A) A duplicate, and B) kind of redundant given we have a whole Q/A section.
MIUI4 ROM Support for LiveView
I loved the MIUIv4 rom !!!
Its damn Awesome !!!!!
But I couldn't get my LiveView to work in it(Not Completely).
I am able to pair with it but not able to get notifications (like an incoming call, missed call, or even read an SMS).
I used the one that comes with the AROMA installer.
Any ideas to get it to work ?

Sony officially sad that 2011 Xperias won't get JB :crying:
They sad that FB comment by Sony employee was error and lied to us as it's actually true.
http://blogs.sonymobile.com/2012/07/31/on-android-4-1-jelly-bean/
Well FU too Sony.
Here is Petition
but no matter lanze brother when sony sony jelly bean for large developers here nxt sure to make a great port for our devices greetings :highfive:
there're many developers here are working on JB, I think I'll rely on them as their ROMs usually better than stock ROM. I've just try PACman JB by Allen Hu, I love it.. but still got a hotbot while playing a movie. Apparently almost all (if not all) custom JB ROM for xmp is having this bug. I'll be waiting for the fix.
But still, i'll be interesting if Sony release the official JB for Xperia2011 series.
Jelly Bean smoother than ICS
I have CM10 on my lww, it's better than stock 4.0.4
It doesn't matter. We lovers always do more than official workers.

And what about Locked Bootloaders. I cant unlock it, so I can't install Custom JB. We need official Jelly Bean to be able to install Custom JB ROMs.

Hello & First of all 'HI' to all the members of XDA-Forum!!
I have been visiting this forum recently since i got my XU.
I want your help in flashing the JellyBAM ROM on my XU coz am still a newbie in flashing stuffs. I have certain queries which when answered will result whether I should flash it or stay with my Stock ROM.
So first of all, details about my XU:
Model - ST25i
Firmware - Stock ICS with some minor customizations & CWM v 5 installed.
Bootloader Status - Locked
Now questions,
1) Will JellyBAM require unlocked Bootloader?
2) If yes for above question, then which data will actually get wiped during the Bootloader unlocking process? My User & System apps + Data have been backedup using Titanium Backup and are in the Internal 4GB memory. Will they also get deleted?
3) What else should be taken care of?
4) And lastly, Instructions to flash JellyBAM.
Plz do answer the questions, you need not write long detailed explanations as I have enough knowledge related to these stuffs.
Thank you very much!!
Thers no JB for xperia U.
As of right now, JellyBAM rom is not working. The original developer based it on a CM10 base but unfortuntately, he didnt notice that the branch was not booting. So till CM10 gets fixed by FXP, I dont see any likelihood of Jellybam working
Jellybean doesn't work yet on xperia u.
Don't try jellybam because it won't boot.

Got to JellyBAM's official site and click on 'Releases' tab.
Search for Xperia U. There is a stable JB release for Xperia U.

The "stable build" doesn't boot. The dev is working on it.

Its just some Sony files slapped on top of CM10 official bro. By no means is it working as of right now. The original Dev didnt have the device so he didnt check.
Install CM9.
Worth it.

I don't have any experience in Development of ROM's so I really don't know but I know one thing i.e. it takes hard work to compile 3 ROM's (AOKP + Paranoid + CM) into one and make a powerful ROM.
I know that and by no means am I disrespecting the developer. His rom is by all means a really good one but I am talking about the Xperia U version. He copied over his modified files onto a non-working CM10 base. Thats the issue here.
I understand that my previous post does seem disrespectful of the original Dev but it wasnt intended. I assumed that you didnt understand my previous reply so I simplified it as simple as I could although I admit I ought to have phrased differently
Sorry if it seemed disrespectful to you or the Dev. No disrespect was intended.

Its Ok.
We are humans and mistakes can happen in any form.
I know you weren't disrepecting the Dev or anyone else.
is there a Jelly bean rom for Live with Walkman (wt19i) works fine Like Official one?
Wrong section, bro.
About your question, there are MANY of them. Just search, it isn't hard.

Also, official ROM working is far from "good". It's terrible actually. Sony screwed work with ICS and it's slow as hell. If you want the latest JB, then take CM10.1. It works better than ICS (just like every JB though), so you should like it.
@Edit: Or check PM to grab AOSP 4.1.2
@Koloses
It's so sad that other MDPI Xperia series doesn't have AOSP 4.1. Is it possible to speak to pcfighter to port this rom for f.e. XMP?

OP some items here...
1) Moved from the Development Section.
2) If you want an Official ROM, best to stay Stock.
Any thing else is for you to read and do some homework and test for yourself. Thank You.
