From time to time a thread pops up from someone wanting to sell their device or buy another.
There was a void for a time with the closing of the XDA Marketplace- the Admin team has a new resource available - see below:

anybody? any available serial for pocketshield??
follow the procedure here,
Yes, this is a very good idea to register and pay for this app !
Think about the time the DEV spent on this product... Would you work for nothing, and let others steal your work ?
Anyway, the rules are clear here : NO PIRACY...
First post is asking for help to pirate software? Off to a great start in here.
Asking for warez in not allowed on XDA grounds. Consider this your first and final warning.
Thread closed.
From now on, I'll be posting daily the Amazon Appstore's Free App of the Day for those who cannot access the Amazon Appstore due to the US-only restrictions.
I know some people might be looking for apps that had been offered as a Free App of the Day, but must've have missed downloading it or didn't have any access to the Amazon Appstore. In those cases, please PM me your requested app and I'll see what I can do to get them for you.
I'll be updating this thread daily (at least, that's my intention) with the hope of getting it 'stickied'. Please shower me with your support!
Don't forget to click thanks if I ever helped you out in any way.
NOTE:
IF ANYONE IS AGAINST ME POSTING APKs OF SAID FREE APPS, KINDLY PM ME. Let's not make this thread a comment box for flaming. Thanks for your understanding.
Reserved for the download link of Today's Free App of the Day.

If you're sharing the APK's with others it is considered piracy. The free app of the day is only offered free that day, and is has to be downloaded through the Amazon App Store.
I'm sure you're just trying to be helpful, but I don't think this needs to become a sticky either since anyone can see what the app of the day is by simply opening the app.
There's DRM in the Amazon apps to tie them into your account. You can post but they won't work without the Amazon Appstore + your account.
When someone else tries to install it, it will tell you that you have to install Amazon Market even if you have installed it. I tried to share an app with my friend once and it didn't work.
Are you dense? You keep bring this up and every time you get the same answer, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1177109
What you are trying to do is against XDA rules, and is piracy. I've reported this thread and will continue to do so with every thread you post on this same exact topic.
Your breaking XDA rule 6 by discussing warez.
Closing this thread. Redundant threads regarding this topic will lead to infractions.
Regarding: [ROM][ICS]ICS Stock v1 by Rushabh25
Yeah, closed down without any further notice from moderator.
Would like to know the exact reason and wich XDA rule number was broken.
Actually he did correct the credits.
But it seems not enough to some/all of the devs of the origin works and the many grudgers. Nowadays you have to beg for permissions to use their work. If you want to do the permissioning correctly, than you have to also go back the long line down to the real originator of the work. And that would be not the devs here on XDA but the little developer at Samsung with his/her teammates. And I highly doubt that anyone up the line has ever done it.
None of you have ever heard of GPL?
Who was complaining about closed source anyway?
Again, if you want to do it correctly than state clearly in your packages under wich license you're releasing your work to the public. Do your homework and sort out which license from whom you're using or violating in the first place before complaining about others.
@mods
Please give at least a hint from which all XDA members also can follow the reason behind the action, if you're going to close this thread like the other previous ones. Btw, if the reason is really copyright infringement of the devs here on this forum, than there should be also several thread closed down, because they clearly altered the Apps (theming) of the original author. I don't even have count the threads with the copied Apps from the official market.
Now than, just imagine how cleaned up XDA would be, if you gonna take the same measurement against every thread, like you have previously done to the just two closed threads.
Have a nice day,
ToS
.
Has you can see i didn't removed the link for the ROM. I just want the op to pm the dev asking for permission (is this to hard to do??)
The point is there must be respect for the developers, because the hardwork for our pleasure is from them.
The credits wheren't given at the begining, and before GPL there is the thanks to people that work for us.
If you want be the responsable for disencourage developers to share their work, then go for it!
Best regards
Just to remind you also the forum rules, that you all read i'm sure:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/announcement.php?a=81
12. Using the work of others.
If you are developing something that is based on the work of another Member, you MUST first seek their permission, and you must give credit to the member whose work you used. If a dispute occurs about who developed / created a piece of work, first try to settle the matter by private message and NOT in open forum. If this fails then you may contact a moderator with clear evidence that the work was created by you.
Convincing evidence will result in copied work being removed. If there is no clear evidence you created the work then in the spirit of sharing all work will remain posted on the forums.
These rules apply to all software posted on XDA unless that software comes with a license that waives these rules.
I know questions belong in the Q&A, but this has to do with apps & large developers. I have been doing a little research into Gameloft & EA. I have found a few trends that I find disturbing, but I am looking for more information for background before publishing any of my findings. SO, please humor me.
My pleading question to all of you tech & Android lovers out there is a simple three part question & it will really help me to see if I can truly identify a trend that is hurting consumers.
1. Do you own any any app titles by either of the above developers?
2. Have you found that any purchased titles from the above developers cannot be utilized due to firmware updates?
3. Have you had any interaction with the customer service departments of either developer? How did you find the experience?
I am working on a piece & have found some very interesting facts, but I am looking for some experiences from other users. Please post & let me know your answers to the above questions & feel free to add any other commentary you feel relevant. If you prefer anonymity, you can PM me here at XDA..
If requested, I will respect you request for anonymity, but would like to be able to use your stories as anonymous source material, or for background purposes.
I had purchased The Sims 3 on my HTC Rezound.
After the initial purchase, the app would not download the secondary files.
EA does not have an email tied to the app listing, so after navigating their page for 30-45 minutes, setting up an account, typing my problems, and then retyping them due to server errors, having to try and guess several times before I could create a password that fit the unlisted requirements, the final submit button for submitting a ticket for tech support completely server errored and made me have to start over.
I had honestly forgotten about it till now, will see about trying again today.
I purchased Madden 12 when the Play Store had their 25 cent sale a few months ago. It ran fine on my Xoom, but as soon as I upgraded to my N10 and 4.2, it would not download any of the files to play the game. It seems to be a common complaint in the reviews of the game.
