Hi
I have change my screen resolution down to 290 .
I then went to purchase jkay dwlxe settings.
I started to receive messages in play store saying device not supported. After searching i found what i had hoped was a resolution.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1684671
so I installed a patched vending apk which I wished should have sorted the problem but still getting same message.
Even though that was in the nexus section, as it was replacing apk files I thought it would work but no joy.
Has anyone else had same problem and how did you fix this please.
Please help
Edit. If anyone has any issues then this is the easiest fix I could find

Re: Google Play Store Problem Due To DPI Change
Clear market data and Google services framework data, reboot and all should be good
Edit, that's an unusual dpi, try 280 or 300
Re: Google Play Store Problem Due To DPI Change
Thanks for your response. Done all that but no joy. Have even tried 280 and other values before asking question.
Any other ideas please
Re: Google Play Store Problem Due To DPI Change
I really hope someone can help
Re: Google Play Store Problem Due To DPI Change
Change it to a stock DPI and then download the app and then revert to 280

Well I have already paid the .99 on the Amazon Appstore because the Play Store would not let me download it "Your device is not compatible with this version". What does the build.prop need to be to get this to work? I have tried the standard MN build.prop, change it to HTC Vision, Galaxy Tab, stock LCD density and changed it to 187 and the Play Store would not work for any of it. I used Nook Color Tools to force close and clear cache after each build.prop change.
Anyone have the Yahoo Fantasy Baseball app working? It doesnt show in the Play Store at all on the device and on the website it says it is not compatible.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Edit..also tried the IMEI generator as well

I have Google play, and just recently downloaded and played Angry Birds Space, so I thought I would look at what I have, and try the yahoo Fantasy Football also. I was able to see and download both apps you mentioned within Google Play on my Nook (with Kang 7.2 (2/17/12)) with no issues. Looking at my build.prop holds not help I am afraid. It has encore/NC entries and density is at 160. Wish I could be of more help, but not sure what else to tell you except to make sure that you clear data under market.
just wondering why is your lcd density at 187 instead of 160?
187 is a good resolution that doesnt cut anything off.
rnclock could you post your build.prop?
Play store has issues with any dpi other than the standard 160 and 240 dpis

PM'd you. Also, if you are switching to 160 to try Google Play, make sure you clear data under Google Play before starting it back up.

You may have to conduct some build.prop edits or IMEI (DizzyDen). Make sure you have cleared data in Market also, this sometimes fixes any issues like this. Search the forum for recommended buildprop changes that will help you find/access more apps in the market. Hope this helps.
Just checking if this was somehow fixed or is still an issue. I am running 132 dpi coming from 120 with cm9 alpha....dont notice much of a difference but I hear is is the native resolution.
Ffor the market to work correctly you have to be at 160. The alternative is purchasing LCD Density Modder Pro and within the app it lets you download a hacked market apk and a hacked Google Services Framework apk to be able to see market items again

Well it actually "works" just fine but according to the market you will loose compatibility with a lot of apps but I'm not about to try to make a list of them

And if you did I wouldn't read it so we both lucked out.
Just disable the market updater in a usable dpi. Then change to the dpi you want.
it's hit and miss for me. sometimes many apps doesn't show up as compatible to the device (including some installed apps if the compatibility issue occurs somewhere after your ROM installation).
I've try tinkering around with market (uninstall update, clear data+cache, force stop) and most of the time one of these would do the trick and everything words fine with whatever DPI (132 or 120).
Hi All,
I have a question, which I am sure has been raised many many times, but through the use of a quick search - was unable to find anything specifically relevant, and the fact that I am at work, I dont have much time to sit there and brouse websites and threads all day.
Anywho, with the change over from Market (play store) 3.5.19 to Market (play store) 3.7.13 - the issue of DPI change has made the market make multiple apps disappear, and say "not avaliable on your device" or something along those lines if you manually go to the apps page.
The way to fix this is to obviously change the DPI back to 240 from (200 or 186 or custom etc) then reboot and the apps will reappear....
But my question is, is there a way to fool the market into believing you have 240dpi the whole time, so i dont have to keep restarting my phone everytime i want to use a custom DPI - the previous market version 3.5.19 worked fine, but the newer one does not. And although it is fairly simple to change the DPI back to 240 then reboot and apply all upgrades to apps, then back again, I assume everyone would prefer a more permanent fixed solution...
Maybe there is already one out there, i am unsure, if anyone could point me to the right direction, it would be much appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
I believe there is a multi-dpi market apk floating around. Can't point you to the though sorry, on phone.
try the dpi 188 or 160~
and try to clear the data of GoogleServicesFramework and Market before you reboot~
220 worked fine for me
ok seems as tho i keep getting errors when i try to delete data from google framework and play store. im going to have to hunt down the multi-dpi market place...

I'm running AOKP JB build 5, Dagr8's Kernel, and Truth77's Gapps, on my Galaxy Note, and have been having ongoing issues with the Google Play app store.
I have about 12 visible apps in the "Top Paid" category, and I know there are more then just 12 of them...
I have tried clearing data, on Google play and Google play services and rebooting, but still no change..
Can someone bestow some knowledge to me, on how to fix this once and for all?

My market is multi dpi but if you use tablet mode the dpi gets too small for my markets im trying to make it work for tablet mode but no succses yet. I'll update the gapps as soon as i get it to work for tablet too! If you use pa or c&c leave market doing stock or 360px like said above and you'll be ok
Well the Play store is now fixed, I had to change dpi to 320, other dpi's just cause the Play Store to malfunction again.. meh at least its working for now.

Not Working for Me
I'm having the same issue with some apps in the Play store being incompatible (eg Flipboard and Starbucks). I am running C&C 4.1.2 with system dpi set at 280. I have tried setting the play store back to 320dpi/360px (go into setting/apps, find the play store and clear cache and reboot) and I have set the system back to 320 dpi.
I'm not sure if I should reflash truth77's gapps or try JunstunBeans. Any suggestions?

I fixed mine by changing dpi to 240, as it is a stock dpi, and removed data in both Google play, and its services, a quick reboot, and vöila! Back to normal!
Though, like you, I prefer a dpi of 280, I'd rather have my Play store functioning over my preferred dpi.

Hi all. I need some help in figuring out what the problem is.
Currently I am running Paranoid Kangdroid by JamieD. I have multiple apps that are downloaded, but when I go to their Play Store Page, I get a meesage that says my device isn't compatible with the app.
Here are some of the apps that are applicable to this problem:
Square Register
Tasker
Google Hangouts (replaces Talk)
9Gag Official App
Temple Run 2
Amazon Mobile
There are a lot more apps, but these are just a few.
This problem also occurred with PTMR's Debloated JB 4.1 and JamieD's Revolt. I was wondering what could the problem be? Resetting the DPI did not fix anything and I wasn't sure making a post in the development thread would be the best place to ask my question. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

I'd try this (I'm tired so I'll forget actual details):
Make sure your play store is 320 size and 360 layout. Once that's done, restart phone, then delete cache and data for play store and play services, restart again.

Thanks for your reply, but it didn't work. Maybe we're missing a crucial step?
The weird thing about this is that the play store didn't act weird until recently (maybe within the past week). Before, at 220 dpi and 600 layout, I didn't have this problem with the apps mentioned above.
You were on the right track. I just had to reset the dpi for the play store in the hybrid settings. Thanks for the help.

Search for Multi DPI Play Store 4.1.6 and you will find what you need. That way it won't matter your DPI, of the apps are compatible they will be listed.
