What is the difference between these ROM's. How should I go to another Custom ROM. Stock -> Custom ROM -> Custom ROM2 -> Custom ROM3 or Stock -> Custom ROM, Stock -> Custom ROM2
Ok.
I'll solve that equation tomorrow.

Kind of meaningless without knowing what you are on and what you want to be on.
Don't you think?

100 mb size rom are the roms which are only designed with basic functions. In other words, developers remove all bloatwares which companies add on to the base rom. For example.... Samsung adds software like kies, touch wizards etc.
500 mb rom includes custom bundled software which are developed by individuals as well as companies.
Hope this simple reply clarifies your doubt.

Hello to I9100 section,
first of all i'm not complete new in customise android smartphons, but in a few days i get my first i9100 and the section is really big and confusing so i want to ask some questions.
My previous smartphones were: i9003 and i9070.
At the i9100 i want to use a stock rom as far as possible, but i want to customise some things.
The things i want to change are:
- rooting with cwm
- 14 toggle mod
- extended power menu
- percentage battery
- custom boot animation
- crt mod
- maybe if possible with stock rom a battery bar
- some tweaks like center clock and other status bar notifications.
At my search in the section i found a lot of stuff (mostly from resurrection remix), my question:
Can i use this mods on a stock rooted sansung rom with 4.1.2?
I think things like percentage battery can be done by me using uot but most of the mods i have to install,
i'm a little but unsure if the work on "stock" rotted samsung rom.
Maybe someone can giv me some tips?
I dont want to use a custom rom again cause my experiences with them weren't always good unfortunatly :/

I agree. I understand your (OP) point about custom roms that 'don't always work', but if you install a rom based on official Samsung roms, it's almost the same as stock, but with some modifications. However, I would go for Neatrom, as its development is more active than Wanamlite, but that's up to yourself.

Hi,
I have a problem with the ROM JB 4.1.2 in my Galaxy S II. After sending and receiving many messages of a sudden one (Like chatting), all my messages disappear, and when I open the SMS application, there is no message at all at all and the only way to solve this problem is to restart the phone.
A note: This issue was in the test version 4.1.2 XXLSJ, I can say that this is normal as it is a test version, but unfortunately, the final official version of Samsung has always the bug.
To test, just need to save your SMS with SMS BACKUP application (you must have more than 300 messages), and when you restore your SMS you will get an error message, and when you visit your SMS application (Ouups: nothing) but after reboot it is resolved.
I already made the necessary wipes!
This problem cannot be solve with others SMS applications: Go SMS... Etc.
I have much more than 300 messages and can't recognize this phenomen. Perhaps this is not a real bug?

You have to receive a lot of messages one after another (Like if you're chatting, you send and you receive very quickly)
Can't duplicate your issue.
Have you tried a full wipe and reinstall the rom?

I like Jelly Bean, but when using messaging, I miss the add word function of t9, that was in Ice Cream Sandwich, but left out of Jelly Bean, when using 3x4 keyboard. Can I flash only the stock messaging apk from Ice Cream Sandwich to my phone if it has Jellybean on it? Will that function return?
Anyone?
Is it the messaging app or the keyboard you really want?
Nandroid backup your phone and then try it, report back.

Well it's the ADD WORD function. It doesn't seem to exist in JB only ICS. I have tried Go Keyboard, but it's not there either...
Tried flashing the 4.0.3 messaging apk, and the stock ics one from Samsung, neither allowed for the ADD WORD function in JB. Wish I was a better hacker/coder, I would try to port this, but alas, it seems the only way to get the function is by using ICS operating system.
Its been a while since I have been on here and 'Tinkered' with my Galaxy s2 I9100. But seeing as everyone out there is on Jelly Bean I have decided I want a piece of the action as I am sick of waiting for the UK Orange/EE operator to release their version.
Current Broadband version: I9100BVLPE
android Version: 4.0.4
I am wondering If there is an stock Rom that I can use, I still want to be able to use Sky Go and other apps that recognised if the phone is stock or routed.
I know there a a few international Roms out there, but I wanted to update an official version so said apps would work properly.
Can anyone advise which rom to use?
Thanks in advance
Foolz

What are your thought, being for Nordic regions would this affect Apps like Sky Player, BBC I player etc?
thanks
Foolz
This is an unbranded rom (you're talking about the CSC), so it shouldn't affect those apps.

Hello!!
I searched but there was no thread with a end answer
my requests are :
1. Is there any Kitkat rom with Touch wiz look?
2. Any Lollipop Rom with Touch wiz look?
3.Any Marshmallow Rom with Touch wiz look? found that MM is Buggy and slow on SGS2
1. Yes i have tried Wizzedkat ( last Dec. Don't now about any new updates) and it has some bugs due to the s5 look and some functions from S5 that didn't work on S2
and also the conditions:
1. roms should be relatively very low on bugs or bug free(impossible)
2. Roms should perform well and should have a decent battery life = or > Stock rom
Any Rom with a Theme that covers All the aspects are welcome (settings, notification bar, lockscreen, home ,appdrawer etc.)
Any kernels that is good on battery life is welcomed also tell me a good recovery to use with
:fingers-crossed::fingers-crossed::fingers-crossed::fingers-crossed:
Thanks in advance
