I just installed Rom Manager pro,and in the font installer section,I just installed a font
And when I rebooted my phone, only some fonts were replaced. Then I decided to go to preferences
And I ticked all fonts to be replaced then when I rebooted,It was stuck,Sony logo appeared and then a part of my boot
Animation and then again Sony logo and so on.
But I had back-uped my data using cwm,so I just restored it and then to my surprise,it started.
Can anyone tell me, if I want to replace all the fonts in my Xperia go to a custom one, which fonts should I tick in the font installer
Pls... Reply me soon.:crying:

First of all Thanks to you sa you replied me so fast.
I had restored my phone successfully, but i want all the fonts of my phone to be changed,so which fonts should i tick in the list of Font Installer.
From somewhere i heard that ,we should check the Roboto fonts ,so i ticked them but then also it was causing bootloops.Once again i restored, but i want to know how to change all the fonts in my mobile.
I dont want to unlock my bootloader or to install any custom rom.

It might be that you are flashing the fonts incorrectly..
Here are the steps to flash the third party icons to your devices:
Download the fonts from the link above and extract it. In side the extracted folder you will see 21 fonts package in zip. Do not extract them and copy the font.zip to the root directory of your SD Card (internal or external).
Turn on USB Debugging Mode on your device: Settings> Developer Options> USB Debugging> turn ON.
Connect your device to the computer and copy the fonts
Boot your device into CWM Recovery Mode. Different Android devices have different methods to do so, but here is another way that applies to all phones. Install “ROM Manager” app (free or paid version) on your device, open app and select “Reboot into Recovery”. Another way to boot into CWM Recovery mode is via “CWM Manager” app on your device. If you can see this app on your device, open it and select “Reboot into Recovery” option. Most custom ROMs come with a ready-made option for rebooting into CWM Recovery. Press and hold the power key ans see if this option is present in the list of options or not, or open Toggle Menu and look for the option to boot into recovery.
In the CWM Recovery mode, select “install zip from sdcard> choose zip from sdcard”
Locate the font file in zip and select “yes’ on being asked.
The selected font will be installed in a few seconds.
You can install as many fonts as you want using the same method.
Finally, go back to the main menu and select “reboot system now”.
When your device reboots, open Settings> Display Settings> Font> select and apply the font of you choice. Voila!

This is a guide I've compiled to simplify Androidiani theming on the XT720. Took me forever to read posts & work through trial & error... credit to Kalagas & Zepplin Rox for the majority of this post, I just compiled into one guide.
------------------------------------------------------------
1st install Open Recovery
If you already have open recovery, but not andriodiani, download Androidiani to your desktop.
Open the zip & copy the “open recovery” folder to your sdcard root (copies over all previous OR files).
Copy the “update.zip” file from Androidiani to your sd card root & leave it there (nothing else to do with this file at this point).
Then boot your phone into recovery (power up, when 1st boot animation appears, hold down the ‘volume up’ key).
You should have the androidiani menu above the standard OR menu.
Just reboot your phone to normal operating android os.
Download the desired theme to your desktop from theme developer.
Use windows/linux via usb to create the following folders on your sd card, you have to create the folders manually the 1st time, 1-4 below:
1) sdcard/OpenRecovery/theme/froyo/apps/All modded .apks
2) sdcard/OpenRecovery/theme/froyo/bootanimation/empty
3) sdcard/OpenRecovery/theme/froyo/fonts/empty
4) sdcard/OpenRecovery/theme/froyo/framework/framework-res.apk
Open the theme zip & copy the files to their respective folders you just created.
OK lets go for it....
Reboot into Androidiani OpenRecovery . (power up, when 1st boot animation appears, hold down the ‘volume up’ key).
Just to be sure make Wipe cache Partition and Wipe Dalvik-cache.
Then choose Froyo 2.2.1 Modding Menu - Menu Install and Restore Theme - Install Theme, pick the install option and let it finish.
After Theme is installed, make again Wipe cache Partition and Wipe Dalvik-cache and Reboot.
You should have your new theme up & running.
Go Pack Go!
Do you have any links to some themes?

What am I supposed to install the update.zip file? Just copy it the the sd card root and leave it there? Or is there a menu option in Androidiani/OR that I'm supposed to choose? Little confused at that point. I can reboot into Open Recovery and there's a multicoloured droid in the background (as opposed to a straight green one).

I did indeed get it working sort of, Thank you! I lost access to the menu that pops up when you hit the power button (the shutdown/airplane mode). The phone would just power the screen down and then rebooted immediately.
As such I'm going back to square one and reflashing it back to 2.1, and try upgrading to 2.2 again. Not as bad as it sounds... since my 32GB class 10 sd card arrived this morning.
G.
P.S. I re-read my original message and it came off sounding a bit rude, please attribute it to lack of sleep and accept my apologies.

Try copying this file to the root directory of your sdcard.
If that doesn't work try using the Install option in Dexter's System Recovery app.

Mate, before moving the apk to your system, MAKE SURE your system is mounted as READ-WRITE in root explorer. you will find this option on the top in the root explorer app when you have navigated to your system file.

hi
when i had "desire c" with arabic rom i change driodkufi-regular.ttf with driodnaskh-regular.ttf and change permision then my arabic font changed but now in desire x , when i do that (driodnaskh-regular.ttf=358kb and droidkufi-regular.ttf=79kb) and restart my phone not any thing changed and when check the /system/fonts i see that droidkufi-regullar.ttf comeback to 79kb again ,
is there any body know how can fix the fonts that after restart phone dont replace that with the orginal font?
thanks
HTC implemented some sort of security to their newer devices where you cannot write to the system as the kernel will reset it.
What you can do is adb push the font in recovery, or make a flashable zip for the font and flash it in recovery.
Basic thing is any change to system, to make it work properly you need to do it at recovery level

is there any way or references or others that i can make a .zip file to flash font from recovery
thanks again
Here is the stock fonts for my ROM which is a flashable zip.
What you can do is open it with an archiver (I use 7-zip), and replace it with all the fonts from your current ROM and name it as stock fonts (you need this if something goes wrong as not all fonts may work for your device).
Then make another one and put in all the fonts that you want to change and name it as modded fonts zip.
So flash the modded fonts zip and see how it goes.
If some fonts make your device stuck, reflash back your stock fonts zip.

hello babakhad, I have some question..
I see there's so many fonts on the Stock_fonts.zip, so I just have to delete it all and put only one font that i want to use? Only one .ttf file? If I only put one .ttf file, will the font in the lockscreen change too?
Hey guys i was just surfing the net & XDA to get some new boot animations for my sony Lww . I got many guides & instructions about how to make your custom boot animation & much more .
So guys after searching and making custom boot animations i got a really cool and simple way to change your fav GIF image to a custom boot animation.
Things you gonna need:-
1. Android phone. (of course)
2. Rom toolbox lite/pro App.You can Get it fromplaystore
3. your Fav GIF image
How to make a custom boot animation:-
1. Place the Gif image of your choice on sd card.
2.Open Rom Tool Box app.
3. Just slide to right side in the app and Select BOOT ANIMATIONS
4. Now slide to left side (Under the local tab).
5. the local tab show your sd card cotents.
6. select the GIF image and in the options prompted select GIF to BOOT ANIMATION.
7. Its done the app will convert the GIF to boot animation(like if you have chosen XYZ.gif it will convert it to XYZ.zip ) and will place it on sd card (mostly next to your GIF image).
How to apply/use it:-
1.After converting it to zip file the app will ask you to install it if you wish you can..
or jst open your root browser and rename the zip file to bootanimation.zip (like XYZ.zip---------->bootanimation.zip) place it in system\media folder and set permissions to rwxr-xr-x.
2.And then reboot your phone.
* Things to be rembered
1. While choosing GIF make sure that the resolution of GIF image is same as that of your mobile.
for that just click the link herehttp://gifmaker.me/resizer/ and resize
according to your mobile resolution. (If you dont know your mobile resolution jst google it)
2. Make sure that your phone is rooted.
3. Make sure you do the above steps carefully.
4.Just Enjoy & hit thanx if u like it
there are some of my created bootanimations down the post.

in PA and CM the themes are set by the system itself. In effect the same theme chooser you have on your settings(T-mobile) is present in ROM toolbox! also if the system has set any theme then changing the icons via Rom toolbox wont work.

Thanks again for your work Miguel ...
I ran into a problem, whatsapp isn't saving media or backups. I think its looking for /storage/sdcard0/external_sd/WhatsApp but there is no external_sd folder. That isn't even a folder, its a link, right? Thats how it used to be on the previous rom i used.
I still have the external_sd link in storage/external_SD, but i need this link in sdcard0, i think. I tried to create it but i can't write to sdcard0!
How can i solve this? I think i restored whatsapp from titanium backup, that could be the problem?

I had the same problem again today, after a couple of reboots it fixed itself. Could Android be mounting the sdcard as read-only? I tried running chkdsk on windows but it didn't find any errors.

@Miguel-rocha can you disable sdcard emulation instead of swapping cards ?
check minibean rom by waldo93,
it needs edit boot.img and framework
Code:
> The Hard One
You can disable any roms if you have understand this
Part 1
1. You need boot.img from the rom that you want to disable
2. Download this http://d-h.st/L6t
3. Note++ program or any .txt program
Part 2
> Unpack those boot.img
> Open fstab.u2 with .txt program then compare it, make it same like my fstab.u2
> Open init.u2.rc, and do the same thing
> Repack boot.img
Part 3
> Decompile both of framework
> Replace the original storage-list.xml
> Then recompile
