Heard this from somewhere, it's worth a shot.
Put phone in mtp, connect, it will install drivers then put it in msc and then try
Don't forget to hit thanks
where i can see this option in cyanogen mod 7 ? i cant find it
Simplest solution - just don't use flashtool for fastboot. Download android-sdk and install platform-tools. Follow this guide from step 9 - http://unlockbootloader.sonymobile.com/instructions
It will 100% work.:good:
Also, you should have posted in the Q&A section.
its not working
installed android SDK, platform tools , copied android_winusb.ini .... but when i try to connect via fastboot it asks for drivers and i installed it but it says that i have latest drivers... its not workiiing (
can you send me better guide with screenshots or something like that ?
It worked in past good ... but now its not working
Okay, first maybe you want to delete your current flashtool, then just install latest flashtool version
Then check all the drivers and install it
If still not working, maybe you want to uninstall your current fastboot driver:
Right-click My Computer, click Manage, and then click Device Manager.
Right-click My Computer, click Properties, click the Hardware tab, and then click Device Manager.
find S1Fastboot driver under other devices (i think... i forgot), right click and uninstall
After that just reinstall all the driver again from the fastboot folder
maybe it will work, correct me if im wrong
*)if still didn't work, just try to do it on other pc
in device manager , i cant find the s1fastboot driver ... isnt there but i installed all the drivers but they arent here
it works on other pc ... thanks .. but on this pc it dont work... on second pc i installed all drivers and it works... here i installed same drivers and it dont work

I brick my xperia neo again... now when im going to connect to the pc to install the original firmware , apear S1boot fastboot checking in windows update and i cant pass this step why? Don´t donwload the s1boot fastboot. I replace to the original firmware one time in wotanclient but now i can´t do that because i need this s1boot fastboot to donwload to my computer. Can anyone help or send me this file to install?
Sorry my english
Thank you
Please anyone help me

Try downloading Flashtool (http://androxyde.github.com/Flashtool/), and manualy updating 's1boot fastboot' driver with the drivers from flashtool\drivers directory. There is a zip file Xperia_2011_devices_fastboot_drivers.zip so first you must unpack it
Here is a guide how to manualy update windows driver -> http://www.addictivetips.com/window...-or-device-drivers-manually-in-windows-vista/
Its ok now I just open the flashtool and the wotancliente and flash the firmware with the wotancliente but the windows never install the driver again.
Thank you for your help.
Happy New Year

You must to unzip the zipfile to a folder and then install the driver manually through device manager in windows.

I think he already fixed the problem mate
How to get Fastboot working in Windows 8 with the Xperia S? Somebody already got it working?
I installed PC Companion, Flashtool, Android SDK+adb. Everything works: I can connect through adb. Flashtools works in flashmode.
EXCEPT: fastboot...
Fastboot just won't see any device in Windows 8. How to fix this?
On my other computers/OSes it works without problems.

got the same problem on my xperia ray
I had this problem earlier.
Well windows 8 does allow unsigned fastboot drivers to get installed. I'm assuming u r installing drivers from file in flashtool folder.
Follow the procedure in This link to disable driver signatures.
Reboot system after procedure done, then install the fastboot drivers they should work fine.

(Previously I disabled the driver enforcement through the command shell with 2 commands. But apparently that did not work.)

Try to install the drivers that are in the /drivers folder where you installed flashtool, otherwise install Sony Update Service or PC Companion to get the proper drivers for your phone. Fastboot is not supported on the U20, so choose flashmode for anything you want to do.

Go to the place where you installed flashtools then inside drivers folder find an app called "Gordon's gate " install and open. it'll automatically reset drivers.
Next time you can connect it normally in flash-mod (may be asked for drivers, you can install from "drivers " folder)
Have luck:beer::thumbup:

I apologize for making this thread again as I misunderstood my device name previously (I thought it's a Play but it's a Ray)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=49236873
Is there any way for this device to unlock bootloader without connecting to the pc?
I can access fastboot (the blue light) but my pc doesn't say anything nor the device show up in device manager when connected, Flashtool doesn't detect anything.
Is there a way to install ROM without connecting to the computer, only accessing fastboot?
Thank you.

No, that's not possible
I guess you should try reinstalling all drivers from flashtool for all devices, or try installing PC Companion or SEUS. If that's not working, open the windows device manager and uninstall/update the drivers for your phone when it's connected
