I posted this in Android Q&A and it quickly got lost... so hopefully someone here will know. I asked in Beans' thread as well because that's the ROM I'm using.
Searched google/XDA extensively. Does anyone know the milliseconds used in Android's heartbeat vibration for calls? I want to mimic it for text messages in the AOSP messaging app.
This is what I have so far:
0,225,300,225,1000,225,300,225
It doesn't feel quite right but it's hard to adjust please help if you can! thanks in advance.
I got a vibration tester now but I still can't get it right.

Thanks! I haven't had this phone for almost 9 months but I really appreciate it -- I'll use it on my phone now.

Not sure if this has been asked yet, searching didn't give me any results anyway - but apologies if its been asked.
HP Touchpad + HP Pre3 connect and the tablet can be used to read text messages etc along with a few other features
So, I was wondering if anyone has fiddled with trying to get Android to connect to WebOS for SMS/Missed call alerts?
closest thing I can think of right now would be using Phone Portal to connect your Motorola device. It uses WiFi and the browser.
Wish there was a way to do that.
Have you tried DeskSMS? It sends your SMS's to your Gmail.
Might be any good?

Nice one! I think that could be a viable option until someone figures out how to either make an app for android/webos to do it, or something more advanced.
I was just about to post this, theoretically it shouldn't be impossible to achieve although I'm far from an expert in the area (read: not an expert at all). I'd happily donate to any developers which could create a patch for it, as I'm sure would many other touchpad owners.

Yep, I'm expecting a bluetooth app for it.
Must admit i'm annoyed with how restricted the feature is - i mean the car, tv, and pc can all get text alerts from the phone. (Actually that's a lie, the car stopped getting text messages when i went to android)
So i'm sure its doable, its just a matter of getting a dev interested in doing it - unfortunately I wouldn't know where to start.

There's already a discussion about this.

See the last post in the thread.
Port your number to google voice. Then I have txt sent and missed calls going to email.
Hey guys.
Since getting my SGS2 working properly, I've installed BLN, it works fine on Whatsapp, Facebook, missed calls, but not the stock SMS app as you all know...
I know there is handcent/go sms, but I just like the look of the stock SMS app...
So is there any mod/rom/how to of getting BLN to work with the stock SMS app?
Thanks
Oli

Erm, okay? Thanks, I guess.
A simple Yes/No/Maybe would have been enough.
So can anyone just give me an answer?
You couldn't click that link (or search yourself) and look at the results? It would have taken you less time than it took to reply.
I seem to have got a mixed set of results...
Would it have not just been easier to give me a one word answer, than search, and try to rub it in my face I'm stupid for not searching?
Seems as if you're trying to be cocky and to be the big man...
Sorry, I'm new, I don't know how this forum works, if only you were like my other forum, who are friendly and actually give proper answers...
When i hit dial, on any rom i try (THS Build 14 and before, Gummy, CNA,, and stock 2.3.5) The phone freezes at the dialer. I can hear it ring, talk on the phone, hear the person, but i cant do anything involving controlling the call Only rom that works is Paranoid Android and that doesnt rotate and ive been having SMS issues with it as well. Any takers?
I seem to remember another thread with this exact same question, but I can't find it. I remember that it was solved by looking at catlogs. So please post them.

Your wish is my command: http://pastebin.com/0Y5RwQk8
So i remeber watching the logcat when i dialed, and there was some sort of opengl i/o error. Is that a graphics error?
Bumpity bump bump
No help?
I'm really sorry, I thought I posted but I guess it didn't go through. Here's the deal: I can't read logcat. You're going to have to weight 'till someone who can, like Droidstyle, sees this thread.
Howdy,
I come from the land of Android, G S III. I've been searching on google, and the forum here an no luck. Is there anyone has has a dump of the notification sounds? I'd like to use them, but no luck finding them. I'd appreciate it greatly.

I've come across the same issue. I've tried every trick I know of, and after a while I got creative enough to try really stupid ideas. Nothing worked. To my understanding Windows Phone 8 does not allow for custom messaging tones.
Someone message me + correct me if I'm wrong here.

I appreciate the notion, though I want to do the opposite:
I'm looking to get the stock notifications off the Nokia Lumia 920 [like in a zip file, etc] that I can use on my G S III.
I use Hangouts, and I like to use the pre-composed replies while at work (especially in a meeting), where I can't do a verbal reply. Does anyone know of a way to customize those replies or add new replies? I didn't find anything specifically in Hangouts regarding that.
This is another one of those things where I don't know if it's a Wear thing, a Hangout thing, or what.

Install the rom that was linked over in the other thread and increase the intensity even more if you like it. Works like a charm
