XT912 Extended Battery? - Motorola Droid RAZR

My battery life is just awful. It runs out in 4 hours of constant use with low brightness. Is there a way to buy an extended battery for the XT912? Like turn it into a MAXX? Or maybe one of those cases that charge it? Thanks.

Yes. They are quite literally the same phone with differently sized batteries.

Just came in to say that. This is one time when I think a new forum is not needed.

Problem while charging my maxx

Hello everyone can any of you do a test for me if so here is what I need for some reason my maxx is discharging instead of charging while streaming veetle, or its not charging at all while streaming but once I turn off veetle it will charge Motorola told me they would send me a refurbished maxx I dont want that. So if any of you can test your maxx to see if you have the same problem as me please post it thanks. P.s. I am not rooted.

Veetle has a lot of problems in general. It doesn't allow me to charge while streaming either so you aren't alone in this. I think there is an option for it but Ive uninstalled it because I have a tendency to overuse data with it.

here is a update on my new maxx is doing the same thing as my old one still no go on charging while using GPS, streaming movies and streaming music. Anyone know if it will hurt my battery if I keep the maxx plugged in while streaming movies.

Ok so I'm in the razr forum because I want to get the maxx. On my Droid X2 I downloaded this Veetle (beta) and ran it. Holy **** the sec I ran it I go from 68% to 100 and now my phone not charging...... Had to pull the battery and reset a few time to get everything back in order.
It's no your phone it has something to do with Veetle beta.

Best way to transfer everything from RAZR to maxx?

I did safestrap and backup on my RAZR and restored it on my maxx, but since it's a maxx would it effect the battery, or am I just being paranoid?
Sent from my DROID RAZR MAXX
You're just being paranoid, I did the exact same thing and I have to use my phone extremely today for 13 hours and still have 20 percent left. The battery stats and things like that are reset when you unplug the phone from the charger so it won't transfer or at least it will be reset anyways

Allow a couple battery cycles to happen to get a better reading.

I agree.. I have RAZR and missed into RAZR max and flashed eclipse.. Batt sucked for two days..then leveled out..
Edit:checked batt after post.. @52% unplugged for 14 hrs..

the estimate of battery when you change from one rom to another is very bad and very confused .
Flash a D-WIZ and re-set the battery

Is this phone worth getting?

I am thinking definitely of getting this phone is this phone still good ? And does have the high hd screen really matter? What about the cpu what is the difference between 1.5 gig cpu and 1.2 gig cpu? Thank for helping me out!
Sent from my ADR6300
In simple words, 1.5 ghz cpu is faster than a 1.2 ghz cpu.
As for your main question, its a very good phone but if you're planning to buy a new one, there are many recent phones available with a better hardware for the same price.

Like what phone? I am getting this one for under 150$

with this money definitely worth buying
it is still a great phone!
It is worth it, especially with the maxx version. But if you can grab the hd one, choose that, it is at least on par in screen department with gnex, and the battery starts from 2500mah (compared with 1650 in old razr). But if you solely seeking for battery life razr maxx (non hd) is the king.

razr has 1780 mAh if I'm not mistaken
Thanks I am mostly be getting the old razr which is Better than the rezound lol with battery anyway having hdmi too! Thank I would get the maxx but it cost over 200$ and the razr costs under 150 lol the hdmi costs dubble that. Thanks

Yeah my Razr Maxx has been pushed to the limit and beyond with flashing of ROM's since it came out and I have never seen any problems or any battery loss. The phone is still among the best IMO when it comes to all round phone.
Thanks I am going to get the razr thank u for all the help hope to see u on it soon lol

Yes..Its definitely better.
Much Better Camera, Better Processor and 2000mAh battery. I shall certainly consider it over old Razr.

Anyone have anything to say about using this on straight talk sim program. And also page plus. I have cdmaworkshop so that is not a problem. And really good ROMs with working HDMI?
