try getting it to enter download/recovery mode..if it doesn't then use a usb jig..if that doesn't get your phone into download mode then you're better off buying a new phone or get it repaired at a service centre

[Q] alternate way to reset the custom binary counter (if jig is not an option)

I have a malfunction usb connector so usb data transfer or my jig is not working anymore. The data cable and the jig is tested on another I9100, and they worked well. Surprisely the 3key download mode is working, and firmware flash with odin too.
So I need an alternate way to reset the counter before I send it back to warranty service
Is it stored in the bootloader? Can I reflash it with odin?

there is no known alternative way of resetting the counter, if it was as simple as using odin then we would have never worried about using a jig.
So then what is the best way to make a total brick? (result: no 3key recovery or download mode)
I should mess with the bootloader in odin?

LOL!! This is the reverse "I bricked my phone" thread. It's the first time I've seen someone asking how to brick their phone.
I suggest you look at the above mentioned "Hallppz!! I broked mi fonnee" threads and do exactly what they did to brick their phones. Stuff like flashing SGS firmware on SGS2 can help.

Can help, but will be detectable. just start a flash with odin and unplug halfway through, you'll get a connect to pc screen and wont be able to acces download mode

Thx
I'll try it tomorrow in the evening unless somebody comes up with a better idea.
I'll post here the result
AFAIK, samsung service center won't check for "flashed" phones. When I returned my SGS2(just cf-rooted), they said I should return after 30mins because they'll flash it back to default(They didn't even check, they just said that while I was still filling-up their repair form). But my yellow tint was still there, so I got a new phone. Now no yellow tint visible on the eyes.

how can i do for this case?i hear about that USB recovery jig can help
but whats the USB recovery? and how can i get that?
Any help that i can start my phone again ??
Thanks in advance guys :'(
Order a jig from eBay & wait for it to arrive. If you can't get into download mode now, that's your best/probably only chance.

If it's really bricked you can only return it or use the only fix:
A Jtag repair.
However I doubt he has the equipment that is necessary, so he'll have to hope that he finds some service that does such repairs. Otherwise he'll need a new phone or all the equipment.

[Q] LG Optimus L5 BIG PROBLEM

I bought LG Optimus L5 E610 few months but i rooted it just few days ago. After i rooted it i installed ROM Manager and installed CWM but my device was not in the lost so i selected LGE Optimus M+ (idk why). Then a friend of mine told me about the "cool app" Beats Audio Installer and i installed it. After i rebooted the phone the speaker started making crazy sounds. I read in the app's site that i have to install a ROM to restore the original sound driver. I decided to install the stock ROM from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1790342 but when i tried to install it it asked me to boot in recovery mode and i accepted. After it restarted it showed this " Secure booting error! cause: boot certification verify. Now I want to restore it to its original state but i don't know how so please help me fast.
Read this, to install the correct CWM for your phone (you'll have to download the .img yourself):
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1827723
Then, boot to recovery & flash your fixes from there.
Alternatively, you can use the KDZ flasher to restore to pure stock.

Use this to download your original firmware.
Use this guide to flash it with the KDZ updater.
When it's done, you'll be back to stock ROM, and all your data will be gone. Don't play with your computer or have anything else running, because if your computer freezes during the flash (or you remove your phone's battery) your phone will be hard-bricked.
If you would rather save your data & only flash CWM onto the recovery partition, you need to find & download the .img or .zip file of CWM which was made for your phone, then flash it using Android Flash Recovery.

Build a brick wall with it. It's a brick.
Soft brick means it's recoverable. Hard brick can be sold for parts.

Yes the tool should work even if you can't boot your phone. If you hard bricked your phone you will need to use jtag to unbrick it.

If your phone is only soft bricked LG will easily be able to tell you rooted it and "installed unauthorized software" on your phone and they very likely won't honor your warranty or offer to fix it. JTAG essentially allows you to restore your phone to its original condition if you have a brick or some soft bricks. What they do is they take apart the back of the phone so they can access the JTAG pads, they then solder wires to the JTAG pads. Next when a connection had been established they hook up the wires to a riff box using a ribbon cable, they then attach a cable from the riff box to the computer. From here they use a special program called Riff Box JTAG manager, to resurrect your device (Restore bootloader, etc.). After that they flash the original firmware that came with your device and your phone should work again.
For more information on JTAG check out these links and video.

Word of warning: Technically deliberating bricking your phone and getting an insurance replacement is fraud and is a federal offense. The right thing to do would be to bring it and attempt to explain your situation (Or you could play dumb, and maybe they'll help you again they won't be happy and you could be in trouble if they figure out your lying) there is a possibility they will fix it for a reasonable price. In the end you unfortunately might have to buy a new phone,

Unless you know what your doing you could destroy your phone to the point of it being beyond unbrickable, if LG says they won't repair it for you look online for a local shop in your area that's reputable and knows how to JTAG phones back to life.

[Q] [Galaxy S2 bricked] Need tool

Hello,
My Samsung Galaxy S2 is bricked. No way to enter download or recovery mode. Black screen... nothing to do to fire it.
Probably the bootloader is corrupted.
Does exist a tool for Exynos 4210 / S5PC210 like the one from Adam Outler "Unbrickable" for Exynos 3110 / S5PC110 ?
Thank you,
Guillaume
Ps. no need to answer about JIG, it doesn't work in this case of figure. JTAG tools exist... Yes I know! thank you BUT needs to solder a tiny tiny JTAG connector... and I don't own a RIFF JTAG Box nether a schematic of JTAG pinpoints on Galaxy S2 mother board...
No way you can fix it. Take it someone who does JTAG repairs or get the MB replaced.

I flashed it longtime ago to ICS 4.03 / rooted with ODIN v3 - no problem at all.
Few weeks ago it crashed during firefox update... I reboot it, it crashed during the boot. I reboot it again and it got bricked!
That's nice, it just died on you?
Warranty is generally for two years...maybe there's still hope for you.

May I ask, what are you exactly trying to point out? If you have a blacked out screen, with no power, recovery or download mode then I suggest you take it to samsung service centre. JTAG does fix dead bootloaders but you will need some experience of soldiering and wiring.

I said if odin can detect it on a black screen. It can be fully repaired with JTAGging! If you go to samsung service centre they will say the board needs to be replaced and charge will be high if you are out of warranty. And yes you need to know some soldiering if you have the jtag box. Or else ask someone who can give this service.

I see.. Before you do JTAG, do you have "some" knowledge of the JTAG Riff box? Yes the Samsung service center do rip people off .. However the JTAG box is not cheap whatsoever.
