I had a spare photon that I no longer used. Its screen is cracked(shattered) but it still functions.
I traded for just a USB wall charger.
It was updated to ota and is not unlocked
Shipped 16:00 11 March 2013

My wife dropped it while it was charging right on the USB port. Guess ill just wait for 7" Google Nexus, I don't want to pay $150 for repair. Unless anyone here has any Diy tips.

Is the charger the only thing that broke? Or did the port get screwed too?

All the actual contacts came out on both port and charger. I seen on another post how to fix it with a factory replacement part and then super glue the back cover back on. But Im still debating if I should sell as is, cause everything works still.

Here's a link to a thread in the accessories forum. Someone is fixing a view but the part they found was for a flyer, $35 if I remember correctly.

I'm not to sure since there is a million rumors, but one rumor I like is that it will be shipped with Android 5.0 (jelly-bean).

I was able to replace the USB circuit board on my son's HTC EVO View which is similar to the flyer. See the following thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1638501
[Q] Evo Flyer - Broken charging port...
Part is easily replaced and cost me $50. Part was $35 plus $15 shipping. Post 2 in that thread provides a link for part.

Hey guys, I'm just wondering what you guys think is the best battery pack for the price? I want one that isn't too expensive but can give me a couple charges. I know some of you probably already have battery packs, so what are your guys opinions?
This is what I ordered.

I used the motorola one available at Verizon. It was $60 after corporate discount. 4000mah. It charged both my wifes iPhone 4 and the DNA to approx 75% off one charge and had some juice left...maybe 25%. Used the Eco 1800mah one and it died before fully charging phone. I read some bad reviews on the 4000mah Morphie.

Have you gotten this yet? That looks like a good deal. I just wonder how many actual charges it'll give the DNA.

I use the stock charger to charge my phone once a day. Since I have had it it seems to always be making this somewhat high pitched buzz. Sorry don't really know how to describe the noise. Just want to know if this is an issue or does this just happen with the charger. Has anyone else noticed this with their charger?
Thanks for the help!

Sounds like a capacitor has swollen in the charger. Replace it with an OEM unit asap as the output has surly changed. This may lead to battery fatigue/failure.

I'm going to call HTC and send it to them and get a new one. For now I'm just going to use my nexus 7 charger. That shouldn't harm my phone at all correct?

I wouldnt use the nexus 7 charger cause the output on it is 5volt 2amp on it. the DNA charger is 5volt 1 amp. it might be too much juicefor a smaller battery. the n7 battery is more than twice the size of the dna. If it was me I would at least use one for a phone.
So I should use my dna charger until I get a replacement? I guess I will just have to go without a charge for a bit as these are my only two chargers, I lost my samsung one.

So just got off the phone with HTC and they are sending me a new one no questions asked. This is my first experience with HTC support and I'm very impressed on how they handle issues. Thank for all the help. The rep also said I could use my nexus 7 charger without it harming the phone.

Even though the rep said it was safe for you to use the Nexus 7 charger, I'd get a 2nd opinion. They are no experts, just people reading form a computer screen. Heck, when I called Verizon about service plans I got 3 different answers from 3 different people.
Yea if its not oem outputs don't use it

I'm looking for a cable and other accessories.
The only Streak cable I have will provide a charge when plugged into a laptop, but not when plugged into a wall (A/C) adapter or into a car adapter.
Weird, right? Any ideas? I might make a thread on this, but as part of the trouble shooting I'm sure people will insist on my obtaining a different cable to try. A bent pin may be the cause. Who knows.
anybody use it? and which model wireless chargers do you guys use. I was thinking on leaving one on my car do you think it would be safe to leave it plug in car?

I use a Nokia wireless charger with no issues. Charges to 100% then drops to some sort of trickle charge. The phone is always at 100% in the morning when I remove it and not warm like when it's full on charging. Works great.
