Hi xda communities,
I would like to get an early expectation from you guys regarding on budget tablets that will be released by Alcatel soon. They are One Touch 7 and One Touch 7HD.

Will these two tablets get a wide community support from xda-developers? This will highly decide either i should buy this tablet or not. TIA

There is a thread for this, but anyway the best phone i can recommend you to buy is the galaxy nexus due to the infinite support. optimus G or the nitro hd are also good options. do not buy the new htc's since they are being replaced every 1 month. Xperia products like the xperia t seem to be very good devices if you can get them but once again best phone for cm 10 is the galaxy nexus

Hi guys... How about a little debate?
I am in the process of buying myself a tablet.. Due to budget limitations I am considering a turn to the chinese tablet market...
At first I was a bit decided towards ONDA v989 but after a lot of reading for the many problems the users face I decided to read again and change direction... Finally my candidates are the following:
Teclast X98 Air http://www.teclast.com/en/zt/X98Air/
Cube Talk 9X U65GT http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2789340
Pipo P1 RK3288 http://www.ainol-novo.com/pipo-p1-rk3288-quad-core-9-7-inch-retina-screen-ram-2gb-android-tablet-32gb.html
I think I am leaning in favor of the teclast...
What is your opinion for my choices and what do you propose?
Please state your opinion and explain why you would chose one over the others?
Thank you
[Q] Buying a new phone advice "Zenfone 6" vs. "iOcean G7" vs. "Huawei Honor X1"
Hello all,
I have been using a Galaxy Tab GT 1000 (rooted) for the past 2 years.
I want to upgrade my phone. I have been reading and researching a couple of sites, mainly Gizchina and this forum.
My choice came down to the following.
Asus Zenfone 6, iOcean G7, and Huawei Honor X1... all big phones, because I am very comfortable with the Galaxy Tab 1000's screen size.
I also looked into some Lenovo phones, but read that their cameras aren't that good.
Can you please advise me on these phones, and what would you advise me to buy, and if anyone has any experience with the cameras.
Thank you all in advance and God bless!
There are 3 threads already established that are devoted to discussions about devices, please read, and if necessary, repost your question in one of these threads: The what should I buy thread or the The Device Suggestion Thread or the The Device Comparison Thread.
There are also several other discussion threads that you probably should review to help you. They are What phone do you wish you had? or
The Worst Android Device That You've Ever Had & Why or even this place that talks about The best phone you ever owned.
(I apologize in advance if this is wrong forum for this kind of questions)
I am just wondering if there is any website/blog/resource which tracks and summarizes on how often major brands make new Android versions available for OTA, and if it's possible to estimate who is generally more "updateable".
(Specifically in my case, I am choosing between 2 phones - Alcatel OneTouch Fierce XL vs Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime and I am trying to guess which of them has chances to get Android 6 one day...)
I have a few devices that my family uses, namely a Dell Venue 7 3730 tablet with 4.4 KitKat & a Samsung Tab 4 SM-T230NU tablet with 4.2 KitKat. Both devices had received limited support from both their developers and the XDA community (due to both devices having a small market share). I figure that both these tablets aren't worth the money from selling them (the Venue 7 was free and the Tab 4 was a gift, yet neither are worth the little amount of money I could get).
My question is this: is there a way for me to get the source code for a "generic" Android device with Marshmallow or Nougat. And port it to these devices? If this is possible, what do I need to do, and are there conversion/porting guides out there that I can learn from?
Any help is greatly appreciated.
