When I long press an MP3 link and select "Save Link" the download is always unsuccessful. It tries for about a second then fails. This is easily accomplished using the regular browser but I'd love to use Chrome.
Anyone else experience this? Any suggestions? Stock device. Not rooted.
Thank you
Try to download the mp3 by using your native stock brower

Or go to the market and search type Downloads and the first app should be download all files and enable it and you will be able to download everything with stock browser

Same issue, tried using the download all app and still end up with a tiny .htm file. I have been using opera to dl this kind of thing and it works ok, just prefer stock browser for everything else.

Thanks for the tip but even with this option enabled, no dice. It really isn't the end of the world, I did look into this before and couldn't find solution. It may be some obscure setting I have enabled somewhere or other, just can't find it.
Some times download procedure doesn't work. Opera never fail.

Some sites don't work, only opera works great

Sadly thats how it works. Look for download all at marketing.
Sorry, im not used o xda app, didnt see this was solved.
Opera works for me
Using the phone's browser, when I try to download from sites like Filesonic or Wupload I end up getting the file as a tiny .htm file instead of it's original intended file type. I have the app "download all" but it doesn't help.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance

I have download all. Still downloads files as .htm.
And I like using the standard browser, so I would like another way of doing this without having to have Opera installed just purely for downloading from those sites.

This. It's what I use for downloading from such sites, more often than not Filesonic.
Strange thing has happened. YouTube has always been on the last page of my app drawer. Makes sense really as its in alphabetical order.
This morning i noticed that it has disappeared and been replaced with an app called Flash Player. The Flash Player app is simply a link to a web page regarding settings for local storage or peer something or other.
YouTube is still installed on the phone. When I selected a video through the browser it gave me the option to play it through YouTube, which worked. But I can't understand why the icon has gone from the app drawer and been replaced with one for Flash Player. I can't delete the Flash Player app and can't figure out how to get YouTube back on to the app drawer screen.
HELP!!!!!!!!!

Default browser won't do it without a helper but I use maxthon browser and it does it with out the helper they have apks in the market if you say search zip downloader bit if you use a different browser it will work

Here
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.hwkrbbt.downloadall
Install that
Then just download normally from the browser
Will work just fine.
No need to get a different browser If you don't want to.
Small simple app, works like a plug in, as long as it's installed, you can download using your browser however you want.
Rom like eclipse comes with a different app for the same purpose (Download Crutch)

It could be due to something not being recognized correctly in the build.prop
Like build fingerprint
Or if you changed LCD density that is biggest cause of market compatability issues
Guys
When I use Grooveshark HTML5 website on stock browser + chrome broswer, while listening to songs I used to be able to escape the browser and it would still run in the background on my SGS3 but after I switched to the DNA the music stops playing. Does this happen to you any of you guys also? If so why? But surprisingly if I run it on Dolphin Browser it work perfectly. Is there any settings I need to change on chrome or stock browser. Let me know please.
Thanks
Anyone? Thanks

Did it work when you minimized the browser and went to to another app for example like text messaging or maps.
