Alright guys, I recently picked up a new Galaxy S III with a nice new 64 GB microSD card. After about a week of using it, I began to not like it anymore. And the reason why I stopped liking it, is because I thought about purchasing a Nexus 7. And I thought in my head, like many Android devices, it would be fragmented from my Galaxy S III. Yeah, I could've put Jelly Bean on it. But I didn't want to. I bought the Galaxy S III specifically for NatureUX. I sold my Galaxy Nexus and my iPhone 4S so I could get this phone and then have some extra cash.
Now, I have a brand-new Galaxy S III just sitting in its box waiting to be returned to Amazon, and no smart phone. So I'm using my Nokia N95, which I'm kinda loving all over again. But I look over at my little box, and open it up and mess with the Galaxy S III and wonder if I'm making the right choice. There's a new iPhone on the horizon... There's even possibly a new Nexus device on the horizon. I don't know if I should just stick to my N95, and wait for something newer. I know the S III is NOT a bad choice at all. It's relatively future-proof and what not...
I would appreciate it if some of you weighed in on this, because I am prepared to send it back Monday morning. Let me know what you think, thank you.

but old nokias are good so you can keep using it and later in the future remove the dust from your gs3

Maybe stop thinking about other phones and be happy with what you have, to put it into perspective

What a dumb, self-serving thread. There will always be better phones coming down the pipeline. You want us to beg you to keep the S3 or something?
I'll tell you one thing that I've learned.
You can't keep thinking about future devices.
Every 6 months a new (maybe better) device is released.
If you keep thinking about the future, you'll NEVER buy any device, because you are always looking ahead.
Just stay with the best TODAY, and in the future, if there's a new device that you like, you buy it.
There's always people to buy your previous device in the future if you want to sell it.
Since you already packed it nicely, so just send it home

best phone I ever had. I bought my woman Iphone 4S, before they released the SGS3, tested it and I know the iOS and apple products are not for me...
No one can really make a decision for you I'd wait to see what the iPhone 5/Next Nexus bring then make your decision.
I would never consider selling a smart phone for a tablet... If it means no more smartphone (for the record I have a s3 and a n7).

Yup, a tablet is nice to have but a smartphone is essential. Think I'd feel lost if the all seeing eye of Google wasn't on or near my person at all times.

What I mean is to which forum are GS2 owners moving?
Is that time of the year when I can change my phone for a new one, but looking at the offer here in Mexico with the two mayor carriers there's nothing to convince me to change my S2.
I think none of them offers a big difference against the S2.
There's the S3 but I'm not paying $600USD for it and I'm not too convinced by the design; no offence but to me it's very girly.
Then we have the Motorola Razzr.
The cons, less internal memory and because of the closed bootloader there's practically no development.
The "good" thing is that apparently it is 4G LTE but I'm not been able to confirm this; the discussion about this doesn't conclude clearly.
At last we have the Xperia S, but it feels to heavy and I'm not crazy about the touch buttons for home, menu and back. They feel not too practical since i had to press several times to made them work.
Both, the razzr and xperia are at a very low price.
So, what to do?
I appreciate your opinions guys.

That would be a great option but so far, the HOX is not available in Mexico.
I guess I just wanna know if there is more people like me who thinks the new models doesn't represent a significant, tangible upgrade.

Then wait for the S4 (hopefully ) or another worthy upgrade. If are not satisfied by the above named phones, don't buy them, because chances are you won't enjoy them as much...

If NOTE II has up to 4k battery I might be tempted, if not then I'll buy S4.

Sorry dude, but between the colors and the rounded shape it seems to me that is a phone more for my wife than for me; and lets face it, besides the beast inside it doesn´t have much to offer in design matter.
Thats my point of view.

My feelings about S3 are same as yours...
I'll advice you to get going with ur S2 and wait for some Amazing Blast in Android...

I personally dislike HTC one x because HTC went the Apple way in that phone.
-It doesn't have expandable memory and in my country they only sell 16g version.
-battery life is poorer than my SII and yet I can't buy an extra one simple because HTC has locked the battery down and it's not user replaceable.
-I checked my friend's own and it was a shame that the multitasking issues people are talking about was true.
-I hate their s-on, s-off bootloader policy

A friend at work just bought S3 and he regrets it ALOT after owning an S2, he asked me if i wanna switch with him but i said no. I think S3 is a bit to big. It has some nice features but im still in love with my S2. I think you should keep it still.

Although I think that will be a dream that's what I would say, too.
It make no sense to upgrade to S3: waste of money.
I just came up with another option:

I got an Galaxy nexus and a pre nexus 4.
The pre one wasn't that nice because of some bugs etc.... but just ordered my official nexus 4 in the playstore yesterday (very lucky) !
I doubt Nexus 4 release in India, but yeah you can order it via e-bay for nearly 24,000 INR. It'll be a US import for use in India ! Ordering one this December. Better prefer Nexus 4 over S3

BTW.. you may develop signs and symptoms of mobile online over exposore...only treatment as of now is putting your device down for at least 15 minutes per hour usage

My father in law just recently lost his spen... I would love to replace it for fathers day but my only options seem to be to pay $50 for one of these from amazon.ca ....a little hard to swallow when it can be purchased for $15 from the link above from a person that will not ship to Canada.
Are there any Canadians that can chime in with solutions preferably in the GTA? I may haul my cookies out to pacific mall and have a look..

that said i have 2 spare s-pens if someone lost theirs, 1 is from an n7000 so black pen+black button, and ones from an i717 so black pen+grey button.

Can't say nothing bad bout the nexus because I don't own it but I have owned two lg phones my first android phone was lg. Lg makes garbage apple phones are made better then lg. I hope the next nexus phone is made by some one else other then lg.
