GTi5503 won't boot - Samsung Galaxy 5 I5500

So I attempted to get 4.0.4 for my gti5503, but i failed. I had a soft boot but i thought it was bricked so i went into downloading mode. I took out the battery to stop the downloading mode. Later when i tried to reboot my phone, it was stuck on a screen with a pc and phone with a yellow exclamation between them. DOwnloading mode doesn't work now. Can someone please help me?

How do you mean download mode not working.
Is it not entering or it's not showing pc when connected?

You have to remove battery for five minutes and then you b should not boot the phone but try to flash it again via Odin. So connect the phone to the PC and start Odin. Now execute the Download Mode combo and you should be able to flash it again..

It's not entering download mode when I press vol up, center, and power off.

np for being a noob; as I said more than one time, we are all noob once in a lifetime!!
Anyway, you must understand that we need more info to help you: for example, how did you try to flash the custom ROM?
Try that: remove battery for 5 minutes, then not boot the phone, but try the CWM Recovery combo: CTRL - / Power / Menu.. If the phone is still alive, it should show you the download mode: a yellow triangle with Andy inside..

So read the how-to explaining all you need to know about that.. You can find them here or at the MadTeam forum, they are the best developers for our phones.
A combo is a combination of physical buttons to press together.. So for us the combo is button Volume Down + central big button + power button.. Keep them pressed till a yellow triangle shows up.. Now you are into Download mode..

You need root permissions only when flashing via RomManager or MadManager; if you use Odin there's no need to root the phone..

Oh, by the way my phone is really slow. How can I make it faster? It's rooted.
