MTU Settings - Sprint HTC EVO 4G LTE

Wondering if there was a way to change it on my rooted EVO LTE. I'm looking to increase the MTU value. I think it's currently at 1422

Build.prop but wont buy you much if anything.

The benefit of disabling 4G?

Will I gain battery by disabling 4G on my phone? I'm in a 3G only area, and I'm not sure if its constantly polling for LTE. I'm using the logic of phones smoking a battery in a spotty coverage area. Thoughts?

So far I think there have only been positive reports for battery life for people who only have 3G coverage.
Some people on the 4G fringe needed to be able to turn 4G off because their phones were trying to pull the 4G signal, destroying their battery life. I am in a 4G area and don't notice any difference forcing 3G.

theres a free app called LTE OnOff. set it to cdma auto prl.
CM7 - Settings > Wireless & Networks > Mobile Networks > Network Mode > CDMA/EvDo auto
Sense Roms - Download https://market.android.com/details?id=net.andirc.lteonfoff
Thanks!

WiFi Tether

I've been trying to get my tablet to connect to my phone through WiFi Tether and it's not recognizing it at all. Anyone have any similar issues? I wanted to try to use my tablet at works where I have no WiFi access
I'm rooted with newest version of Mean ROM.
Thanks,
Matt

Aahhhh I found where you guys were talking about. It's in settings > change device-profile for anyone you may run into this same issue.

Error Code 67 when tethering

So for some reason I get an error code 67 when trying to tether. Weither its wireless or USB. Regardless my data just basically stops.
I'm on chameleon rom, stock kernel. Any ideas?

It's a common annoyance that isn't going to go away, I fear. Use WiFi tether for root users on the market.
In settings of app:
Set profile to generic ics
Check Router fix
Check Mms clamping
Check driver reload
Good to go.

No idea but. Does it do it on aosp roms also? Thought it might be the sprint connection DE-optimizer.
I hardly ever see LTE on aosp. I seen it a good bit on sense though.

Sense or aosp. Doesn't matter it connects for 1 min the boots me off

yikes
Htc's crappy evo lte radios combined with sprints turdish network. Throw in sprints connection de-optimizer. What a trio!
I don't know if this will help but I am running a cm 10.1 rom and if I set my data to LTE only i transfer data fine. However I can not receive phone calls.
