Changing from CM10-nightly to Zelly Cream 2.0 - Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini, Mini Pro, Xperia Pro, A

hey there,
I'm currently running the 9-20121028-NIGHTLY-mango on my xperia mini pro. the kernel is 2.6.32.9-FXP.
I'm wondering if I can change easily to the Zelly Cream 2.0 ROM.
In this thread it says I need a .587 base but I can't figure out whether this cyanogenmod has the requested base or does that mean i have to go back to stock? if so where do I get that stock ROM?
thanks for your help
EDIT: ****, I meant CM9

well since you have cm10, im guessin your bootloader is unlocked. so you will have to flash a compatible ICS kernel then follow instructions on how to flash Zellycream 2.0

There's a debloated stock 0.587 available in dev by anerik.flash that and then flash zelly cream

If you have CM9 then that must mean you have an unlocked bootloader. So, just flash a compatible kernel like Lupus or Mesa, wipe the required stuff (data, cache, system & dalvik cache) and then flash the rom and reboot.

That is only for locked bootloaders.

ok. i downloaded th lupus kernel. going to test it now
EDIT: after hours of trying. no success. I tried the rom with different kernels but it wouldn't work :/ it always stopped after the installation. the lights were on and nothing happened for nearly an hour.
i'm back to cm 9.1 with the lupus kernel.
EDIT2: I couldnt go to sleep without trying a third time this time with the mesa kernel, succes! the system is starting and running smoothly. thank you all!

hey so mesa works flawlessly>>
Also I am planning to move to zelly cream having CWM 10

as far as I can see it works great. in the beginning i had some randomn reboots but they are gone now. But I have another little problem and since I don't have 10 Posts I can't ask in the Zelly Cream Thread.
There is no system alarm installed in the ROM. How can I get a system alarm like the one in stock or in CM?
I there a zip I can flash?
hopefully someone sees my request in here

When use KA17.2 what kernel do you use? Try NightElf v1 rc2 kernel, wipe all, wipe dalvik cache, format cache partition. And inside Aroma Installer choose default instead custom.
Look at my signature, and you'll see
JJ hybrids rom This is smoothest and full working rom on the forum
Thanks, i'm in test...
Other propositions?
KA18 Ice Cream Sony release by krabappel2548 , very stable and bug free
I have tried almost all roms...and stability wise i found aokp and cm9 to be working ver well..although i have to let go of radio ,hotspot and video recording..but still gives u an amazing experience...worth a try.

[Q] Please sugggest some ICS Roms with custom kernels!

Hi people..
I have just unlocked my bootloader.. Can you please suggest ICS Roms for better and smooth performance than the stock Rom and the appropriate kernels for them!
And should I first install the rom or kernel?
Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks in advance!
First kernel, then rom.
Head out to dev section and have fun in testing and finding which is best for you. Everyone have different opinions. But try aosp or aokp roms
try the new xperia pureness v3 its amazing, its still beta but its very good
You can try night elf kernel plus ka21.1 ics rom.
Sent from my MT11i using xda premium
if u want smooth working phone install Polish Blood....
if u want customized with toggles and everything use AKOP,CM9
if u want stock rom use Spacious, smooth and light ICS
but if u want everything working perfectly & smoothly go back to a GB Rom -- codename_ei8ht-----a super rom by a super dev:good:
Get codename eight by emann... on gb..
Else for ics.. try otu whatever u can... i prefer aokp only.. and spacious by shradul..
Rest.. well.. not meant for me atleast..
I use Paranoid Hybrid based on Cynogenmod 9 unofficial version. It's heck of a ROM to start with. You get Cyno feel along with ICS 4.0.4 and also toggle between Tablet UI and Phone UI. It's smooth, fast and gives what you want. You can also use variety of Themes available for Cynogenmod. Please use FXP Kernel.

Though I agree that the rom is excellent, I would stick to 20.1 until issues with the market, gallery, walkman etc is resolved. 20.1 just comes off as a more stable release and recommended for those who don't want to spend time configuring after install. Just my opinion..
A good tip might be to use titanium backup, which can also backup contacts and text messages. Since you often need to format when switching or updating roms.
Kernel & ROM Combo
I also have the Night Elf Kernel plus KA21.1 ICS ROM. No need to factory reset if unlocked and already running a previous version of KA. No issue what so ever on my SE Neo Mt15a

[Q] Suggest me an ICS rom

Hello.
I am making this thread, because there are too many roms here and I can't find out which one to pick.
I want some stable ICS rom for my Mini ST15, because I am tired of waiting for the official ICS, and I would also want to have the additional settings to turn off the auto brightness...
I suggest the stock rom with draco_ag's mods and bloatware removed.
Sent from my phone.
link or anything, please?
real ics 5.2 is stable and fast using it with mesa 1.6 kernel and every thing is good
agree, real ics 5.2 is superb, use with mesa 1.6 kernel. but just a suggestion if u want stock, better wait till nxt week for new firmware release by sony.
Real ICS is for Live with Walkman......
nope it's for all 2011 xperia phones via aroma installer

Don't use a DUAL kernel (CWM + TWRP) like MESA Hybrid or LuPuS Dual. Flash an ICS kernel like LuPuS CWM 5.x v3 (it works just fine on my st15i-Mini) via Fastboot. Download v5.1 ROM version (latest). Then reflash ROM via CWM.
thx a lot for making this thread and allow us to post our problems. sry for my bad english. i will try this rom cz ive been trying several and i always got FC and bootloop
thank you!

Ray with "Performance Kernel" (FlyKernel)
It's turned 90 degrees wrong ^^
When i hold the phone straight, it should be portrait - but actually it's landscape then and vice versa.
Funny kind of bug.
I wish I could've let the ROM settled down. There is no chance because it automatically reboots after 5 minutes.
I'll take a different Rom now, thanks anyway.

[q] need ics kernel better be stock

I am using this rom zelly cream and my wifi is not working, i think my kernel is not compatible or something else. If any of my friend could just give me a link to good ics kernel i will be very thankful. My rom was last updated by developer on 26th feb 2013. And yes i know rom itself have kernel but this one doesn't have one so plss help me.
Sure dude. Instead I can give you a better kernel it will change your mobile into a boeing 747 and then your phone will really fly! If you want I can add underclocking till -400GHz so that you can also use its CPU as a refrigirator. More over it will have the ability to wash your dirty clothes and I'm testing a new feature which is a bit dangerous but if successful we could change our planet to mars and even contact martians so they can come and take people like you to their planet so that this great community and planet remains clean. Willing to work with me?
Press THANKS if I helped,
Best Regards,
AJ
And as much is ur wifi problem is concerned, make sure u flashed wifi modules.

Hi I am using your same rom with last version of radeon kernel and everything works fine, wifi too. If you have an unlocked bootloader you can simply flash the. img file with flashtool and at the first boot you must flash wifi modules by recovery(as you did with Zelly Cream).
