If you using custom kernel and good ROM you
cant get better performance by edit system or data (maybe a bit, but its will be not huge diffrents)
If you really want to have a very good performance, you must get other better phone.

a suggestion:after many tests with it and without it on a custom kernel with tweaks like kuro onepack etc. i can say the app is complete useless.i have test it with sd tools and the speed was the same.i think its only usefull when on stockkernel without anything.
i agree with CALIBAN!
most of the tweaks posted on XDA like Andrenaline have this feature already.. but it can be usefull for stock kernel that has no init.d support..

cool!!
Guys currently I am on stock rom.
I give it a go and it works.
Previously it used to take around 15 sec to scan.
Now it takes only 4-5 sec.
Isn't that cool...????

Need sound mod as [Universal]AC!DAudioEngine[v5.0]_signed for GB
Bro, it's only for ICS, because som mods/apps requied Android 4.0. Try Beats Adio mod, it's for 2.3+
sounds mods make not much difference anyway.(at least to me)
If they do have difference you need to have a good headset.do not expect much from the stock ones.
find a good music player and the right settings in equalizer will make almost the same effect.
poweramp app works great for me.

I think best mod for GB is DSP Manager. If I found flashable .zip, I will edit this post and give lik to this

Sorry, bro, but the only thing you need is the modified version with the right screen resolution. A 350 MB swap partition would
1. Wreck your sdcard pretty quickly
2. Slow down your system, except when using one of the newest and fastest sdcards.

The only problem might be lock screen unlocking, so won't harm device & that's why I said nandroid backup is necessary

Fellow xda users,
I am not a massive fan of gaming on my android phone but since Real Racing 3 was released I can't get enough of it!
My problem is that when running on my Xperia U it is extremely laggy sometimes and also FC's alot.
Can anyone recommend a gaming optimized rom maybe that can actually handle the games needs or is there any tweaks I can do to get it running better?
I am running the latest cyanogenmod 9, rooted with unlocked boot loader.
I just don't understand how an iPhone 3GS with a 600mhz CPU can run this better than a dual core 1ghz CPU?
Any help is much appreciated!

HEY buddy
- Try to edit file at folder SDCARD/Android/Data/com.ea.games.r3_row/.depot/eds
- in folder have a file:
1. AndroidHigh.plist
2. AndroidMid.plist
3. AndroidLow.plist
4. AndroidXtraHigh.plist
- just copy another one you wanna use, example you use AndroidLow.plist and paste
- rename to AndroidMid.plist and AndroidHigh.plist (in Xperia U use between 2 both that file but i dont know maybe cant)
- and just try playing you felt fullspeed, no lags

i think i may have a solution to your problem. if you install chainfire 3d (requires root(link at bottom of post)) you can decrease texture quality and/or texture size which will reduce quality nof all apps until disabled but does help lag and memory usage which is probably why you are getting fc because you have run out of memory or it is starting to overheat.

So guys, how good does your YP-G70s do while running "heavy" games such as Asphalt 7, Modern Combat 4 and Nova 3, for example?
Most of the times I get huge lag while playing those games...some long freezes and quite annoying lags, even if I'm using Chainfire. I'm guessing this happens thanks to the fact that this device has only 376MB RAM, but that is just a rough guess. The lags occur even if I run games when I had more than 200mb free RAM, so I don't see how I could help it.
Also, please don't forget to post your system specs!
I'm currently running the GingerBread stock rom, overclocked to 1.5ghz and with a 256mb SD Ram Swap.
So, can you guys get a good performance while running heavy games?

Since our player is only single cored and only has 1/2 a GB of ram, performance demanding games do not work as well. NOVA 3 runs somewhat well, but Asphalt 7 is unplayable. Using a custom ROM is the best way to go if you want a bit extra performance.
Sent from my YP-G70 using xda app-developers app
Running on CM10.1 with overclocked GPU seems to work, Dungeon Hunter 4 which was jerky on stock based rom and custom kernel hardly helped but on CM10.1 with Sultan Kernel, it runs it perfect!
Using chain fire maxes out the graphics on games which causes extra lag such as on Nova 3

Just remember this kernel is only for the CM10.1 ROM.
I got GTA vice city and it works better than my galaxy tab 2, currently using Mercurius reborn RC1 since it seems a bit more stable than sultan, any I/O Scheduler and CPU governor recommendations?
You have only SIO scheduler in my kernel
About governor, when you play then the performance should do the thing. It keeps your device at maximum frequency.

The ram is the biggest problem, when you fill the galaxy goes slow, if it had been larger, the performance they would have benefited greatly
over 440 dedicated to user is a probles? Wouldn't say so, really on gb you had abot 360mb!
BUS is the biggest problem, cpu a bit too
