[Q] Phone always boots into Clockwork recovery mod - Galaxy S Plus - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello,
I have the Samsung Galaxy S Plus (GT-I9001)
My stock rom is: I9001XXKI3_I9001XEUKI1_XEU
I have been wanting to install a custom Rom for a while now.
However I always end up getting stuck in Clockwork recovery mod.
I have tried installing clockwork recovery by:
Using Odin (Using this tutorial > http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1776095)
Rooting it first then installing it using the stock recovery. (Like in this tutorial > http://www.deviceseeker.com/2012/09...d-recovery-on-samsung-galaxy-s-plus-gt-i9001/)
Both ways have got me stuck booting into clockwork recovery mod and I've tried other things like clearing the caches and stuff.
If anyone would be able to help me it would be very much appreciated, I'm fed up with slow gingerbread! >~<

Help Infuse4g Boots into cwm everytime?

Hello. I am new to the forum. I have a rooted Samsung Infuse 4g. I am a bit of a noob so please bare with me. I began having problems with the phone after I did a factory reset. Everytime I boot the phone now it brings me to clockwork mod recovery . Everything is written in red. Iv tried to do a recovery from here and I tried installing the rom from the my sd card and have had no luck. I cannot get into download mode either. How can I get my Droid running again?
Thanks in advance
If you can get into fastboot mode, download the .img file of any custom recovery for your phone, then use Android Flash Recovery to flash it. This will replace your CWM with a working version, which you can then use to flash a new ROM.

[Q] Clockwork Recovery Mod

Hi guys, I have an Htc Legend and im getting really frustrated with trying to get into the clockwork recovery mode.
I rooted my phone using the visionary+ software and it successfully rooted and downloaded superuser and lucky patcher. I then tried to flash a rom to replace my HTC sense so i downloaded rom manager and successfully got a clockwork recovery mod. I found a rom I liked but when i said to download it, it took me to the system recovery mode. I tried several different roms and they still led me to the system. I even tried the "unlockr's" instructions to flash a recovery mode off the computer and it still didn't work.
If someone has any idea what might be wrong and how to make it work could they please let me know.
Thanks in advance
Look here and take the S-OFF-method.

[Q] Installed CWM Recovery on Galaxy Note N7000 and got in a bootloop straight away

Hello dear community
This is my very first thread I am making on this website, so please pardon me if I am on the wrong page of this website.
Anyways, I'm more or less desperate. I saw a youtube tutorial on how to install Android 4.4 Kit Kat on a Samsung Galaxy Note N7000 and I heard I'd need root AND a custom recovery.
Because I'm a total newbie to this kind of stuff, I tried the very first thing I saw that had something to do with custom recovery, because I already had my phone rooted. So, I looked up a tutorial on youtube on how to install CWM custom recovery and ended up with installing it successfully, but now my phone is stuck in a bootloop. As I already mentioned, I am a newbie and therefore I am very desperate at the moment, you know.
The only thing I can do is go to Recovery Mode, but if I try to turn the phone on it gets stuck in a bootloop (It actually doesn't loop at all, it just freezes at the moment when the Samsung Galaxy Note logo appears and doesnt do anything after that.).
I think my problem is that I actually threw a new Kernel on my phone, because the video title says "How to install Kernel with CWM [...]"
I would be very very very very very grateful if anyone was kind enough to help me get out of this!
I really need help!
Thanks!
PS.
If this helps you help me:
This happened when I had Android 4.1.2 installed.
There's going to be 2 ways to get out of this:
1) Reinstall the stock firmware via Odin.
2) Install a custom rom via recovery.
Personally, I'd go with number 2 because a) you wanted to update anyway and b) if you have the right recovery and rom, it'll be easier as you can just put the files you need on an external SD card and install via the custom recovery. Now, not all recoveries are able to flash any file. Many times you need specific ones to install the newer android versions. So, if you are wanting to install something 4.4 based, then using a recovery that was made, say, last year, probably will not work well if at all.
Another thing to try first, is to wipe the cache and dalvik cache in recovery since you said you tried to install a kernel. It is always recommended to wipe these when installing (assuming you did pick a compatible kernel with what you were trying to install).

[Q] Unable to enter recovery, Odin won't install custom recovery

Hello. I have a Galaxy Mini 2 (GT-5600d) more specific, and I installed a custom OS which the phone couldn't support well, so I wanted to turn back to my stock ROM. I found the ROM and installed it using ODIN 3.09 and the only problem I have is that I have to do a data wipe from the recovery menu. Problem is, the recovery menu is jammed for some time now. I didn't need it much before and never taught it could screw up. Seems that now I am stuck with the phone in a continuous boot loop. Any suggestions?

can anyone help me with me with my phone (samsung Galaxy S4)?

i tried to install a new rom with the twrp recovery mod and before starting the process i unistalled twrp, the app from which i got the recovery mod. now when i started the process i factory reset the phone. afterwards when i tried to install the custom rom it said "No file_context" which meant it couldn't it because i unistalled the app. i rebooted my phone but it only boots on the custom recovery mode and at the moment i'm trying the download mode and praying for it to work. does anyone know any other ways to make it work?
