Hey, if anyone is interested in selling their prime, I am your guy. I would prefer making one transaction for both the keyboard and tablet. I would prefer a 32gb, simply because of the price. I would also prefer Gold, but it's not a deal breaker if it's grey. Both pieces MUST be in extremely good condition, and MUST come in original packaging with original charger, manual, etc. Sorry for being so picky Let me know if you are interested!
Check eBay. I paid $327 total for a prime with dock, two chargers, and an extra USB cord
Anyway, its against the rules to buy and sell on XDA, however XDA has teamed up with swappa.com. you can go over there and sign in with your XDA login info and start trading immediately.
Good luck!

Glad to hear you got one!!
To get the stuff below you have to go on the desktop site, then up in the top right you'll see your name. Under there it says control panel, click that.
Now you'll see something about editing your signature, its on the left side of the screen. Simply type whatever message you want down there and hit save!

Hello All,
I've been lurking around here quite a bit and wanted to share with y'all that the Photon Lapdock is now in stock at Sprint.
If you're a premier customer and purchase an additional accessory (I purchased the least expensive item --- screen protectors) you'll get 25% off of your entire purchase.
My lapdock came out to only $187 and change + tax
Just thought I'd pass on to my fellow forum friends that are saying they're not happy with the $250 price tag.
Just couple it with a cheap accessory and you'll get it for 25% off.
Oh, I also wanted to say that they gave me free expedited shipping. They told me 2-5 business days, however, the rep said I'll likely have it on Tuesday.
OK, so what was your total for both accessories? With tax I still put it at over 200 depending on your taxes. So it comes out to under 20% off....its not bad but not worth it still, and also not worth creating and entire thread over it....
Just my opinion.

Hi ORam,
Please excuse the brevity in my previous post. Had a lot going on at once and wanted to knock out this post or else I wouldn't be able to get to it for awhile.
I paid $187.49 for the Lapdock, $8.99 for the screen protectors. By combining the screen protectors, Sprint knocked off 25% off of the list prices.
I paid a total of $221.23 which includes TAX.
Hope this is helpful to the others because as of earlier today, Motorola's website was still showing that the Lapdock as "Coming Soon."

Woah. Thanks for the heads up, will definitely take advantage of it this week. Do you know if there is an expiration date for this offer, or is it just on going?

Greetings, bpcivicsi:
You're welcome! I've always taken advantage of the 25% deal by buying 2 or more accessories. I included the Lapdock and Screenshield item/product numbers for your convenience.
This deal has been going on for a long time and I haven't heard about it ending. It's better than Verizon's offering because to get the same deal with them, you have to buy 3 accessories.
Accessories Qty Price/Each Total
ZCU1234V-Universal Screen Pro 1 8.99 8.99
MEM4762Q-Motorola Lapdock 2.0 1 187.49 187.49
Should be no more than 150 tops

someone asked where is the accessory and the specs in the Sprint page, well here are the steps to see it in case they haven't figured it out already.
if you go to Sprint.com, sign in or not thats up to you. If signed in, then
select Shop, then Accessories,
in the drop down selector choose Motorola/Sprint, click the Go button
Select Mototola Photon,
in the box of items click on the Data & memory image,
scroll down the page to see the lapdock.
edit: to OP, when you say that at Sprint Telesales, i assume you mean at the store or via phone? When i talked to someone in chat yesterday they said I had to go to the store to get the discount.

Hello twospirits,
I've been trying to purchase at the retail store but unfortunately, the reps at the store keep referring to the web-top dock, they don't know anything about the lapdock.
But i've never had a problem getting the 25% discount via phone call w/Telesales or at the store level.
I didn't know you can purchase accessories via online chat.
I just dialed *2 and placed my order.
Hope this helps.

I called up my usual sprint store and I explained to the CSR that if they had any in stock, even gave the item number right off the website to confirm. She says yes we have ten of them. naturally, I got excited that the item would be in the stores. So i rush out at lunch time all the way to Flushing and when i show them the item print out, they look like they are baffles (once again). As usual they mistook the lapdock for the HD dock.
So I told them that I want it but am afraid it may not reach me in time before my trip and he says most likely the item will be here by Wed if ordered today. So I order it. Got the 25% discount and hope to get a call from Sprint saying its in by Wed.
Strange that they had to do a direct store order and not send it to my home, but eh lets see if it comes in on time. Would hate to go on vacation and come back to find out that they gave it to someone else.
Edit: and yeah the price came out to be $220.08 )$196.49 lapdock, $5.65 screen protector, $9.58 Flushing tax and $7.86 NY tax. man taxes are alot here.

As I stated in the other Lapdock post, until I see some specs (Processor, DASD, Memory, ect.) I will not jump on this. I have a laptop that does this via USB cable.
The lapdock is just a dumb terminal with a keyboard, lcd and a battery to charge the phone and dock. Everything else is run by the phone itself onced dock. Its not a true laptop replacement in the sense. Unless you do the Ubuntu hacks shown elsewhere in these forums and even then it won't replace the laptop fully.

No. This is a chopped down instance of Ubuntu running Webtop, not android in what appears to be a virtual machine.
PhonePortal gets you to the base android.
I'll be holding off until I can pick one up for the $150 range new or maybe a second hand one for cheaper.

You might consider this a novely item. I consider items like this and (hopefully) the forthcoming Asus PadFone to be the first products that use interchangable CPU cycles that will replace desktops for most users over the next 5-10 years.
For what the vast majority of people do the phones will have more than enough horsepower.
There are going to be power users etc that will require more, but I think these next few years will start to see the change take place to where PCs are no longer king.
i agree, I forgot who said it but this is the way of the future. The smartphone will be the mobile pc controlling all sorts of devices.
Add a touchscreen lcd, make the phone the trackpad, add a wireless mouse and since there isn't any more trackpad, replace it with a storage bin to add a internal ssd drive and viola, goodbye laptop for sure.

You have three options. An Android office suite like Docs to Go, Google Docs or similar online editor, UbunTop or similar webtop modification (requires root and unlock).

I am looking to purchase a Gray keyboard dock for the Transformer Prime TF201. If you happen to be one of the ones that is stuck with a dock and no tablet I would like to purchase it from you.
Please no inflated prices ... I am willing to pay $190.00 for it which should easily cover the original price, taxes, and expedited shipping to me.
I'm buying this for my daughter for Christmas so any help would be appreciated!
Just reply here or PM me if interested.
UPDATE: Already purchased one from New Egg ... thanks everyone!
I don't think anyone even has the dock yet, sorry. If they did, I don't think breaking even on expenses is worth having gone through all the trouble of finding one.
Given that docks are tougher to come by than tablets, good luck getting one with no premium.

Personally if I had the dock I would sell it to him. The dock doesn't make or break a tablet for me. Hope you find one
The docks will arrive at online stores on January 5th. There are a whole bunch arriving then.
In stock right now at newegg. just placed my order, should be here monday!
Newegg has the gray dock available now.
Lol beaten
Thanks everyone for the heads up! Just ordered from New Egg .. it won't be here by Christmas but neither will my daughter's tablet (Est delivery for tablet is the 28th)
Both the Grey Transformer Prime 32GB and the Grey Dock are available for purchase NOW on BestBuy.com

Just picked up the dock. Thanks
I am wondering why the gray TFP is not available when you do a regular search. I had to do a google search to find it. It's under Other Product Categories and then Exclusive Offers categories where it can not be found by searching. It's a good thing for me since it's hard to find I was able to buy one earlier today.

Back in stock, guys!
EDIT: Tablet only, BTW. Sorry to those who may have jumped thinking the dock was available.
Tablet's still up as of this edit!
I went ahead and put my order in online. I too find it odd that you must go thru the Asus site or use the SKU to search for the prime on the Best Buy site. At any rate, they quoted me an in-store pickup date of 1/14/12. Hope that actually comes to fruition.
I just got my first prime today. Everything seems fine but two stuck pixels in the center of the screen. One green, one red. None of the "fixes" I have looked up online work so I ordered up another and will return this one. I will continue this process until I get a perfect one.

I received my tracking number already. I have to wait for it to be in the system though. My dock is suppose to arrive today, bought it on Newegg though. I'm returning my defective one in on Monday.
Ordered mine yesterday when it first became available and I just got my tracking code! Can't wait!
Ordered one yesterday. Waiting on tracking number anxiously.

Will this work with cases that we have already? For example, it just replaces the existed door, right? Doesn't add any more thickness so we can't use the existing cases we have? Thanks in advance. I'm asking because I read the reviews on the BestBuy site and two of them say that it does add bulk slightly. Just don't want to buy this thing and then find out it's a matter of using this and not being able to use my existing case with it.

Not 100% as I don't have one yet, but I think it might add some additional thickness. So my guess is you will need new case. Maybe someone who purchased already can answer this better than me.

There's one listed on 23rd street and 6th ave here in the City. I was going to go and buy it in person and try it with the tough case I bought a week or so ago already on the phone. Figure I can always return it if they don't have a restocking fee.
Will post more information tomorrow once I check it out.
Thanks for the information, regardless. Much appreciated.

It does add some thickness. Not so much that you will notice it in your hand, but enough that most fitted hard cases will not fit properly. This is a discussion worth reviewing: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2609406
I went to the BestBuy in 44th and 5th in the City. They're clueless. Two guys with "Samsung Experience Specialists" jerseys or jackets or whatever those zip up things are, the guy kept trying to sell me something COMPLETELY unrelated to what I wanted. Finally I asked him if he had the Qi-compatible charging stand and he said no. Said he only gets "about 2 in a week". I gave up and walked out.

FWIW, I live very close to Best Buy's HQ here in MN. I know a lot of good people employed by them. With BB being a hometown store here I am rarely more than 7 or 8 minutes from a store location wherever I travel in town... That said: I drive past all of them in favor of any competitor, even if I have to go further and/or spend a little more. I do not feel they practice good business ethics as a company, and I do my best boycott them. I do some consulting work, and on occasion am forced to buy a computer component from them. I have had to do this 7 times in the last 10 years, and 5 of those times ended up with a sales person who either lied, or was completely clueless sharing bogus information as fact - in spite of their being the in-store "expert". Good luck to all who shop there, but please don't count on their staff to help educate you on making a sound purchase.
I have this mount for my Nexus 6. I had it for two months, then ended up getting a new car. My new car has a place to put my phone, so I no longer need this mount. It's an awesome mount. Holds the phone super secure and allows you to easily adjust the position of it while docked.
I can sell it for $50 flat. I purchased it for $80. It's in like new condition.
Sorry if this isn't the correct place to post this. Swappa didn't seem right, as it appears to be just for phones.
Really cool looming mount, however XDA forbids people from selling things on any forum or post. I don't care one way or the other, but I thought that I'd give you a heads up before someone got all bent out of shape about it.
