Blue circle tint ish looking on my screen - HTC Droid DNA

Hi guys so I have a question I got my phone replaced recently through the insurance with Verizon. Last night I started noticing a have a small blue looking circle that can only been seen when there is white on the screen it's about the width of maybe let's say the top end of the pen or the eraser on a pencil. Do you guys think this is something I can take back maybe take to the store or tell the insurance people somethings up with this phone and get another ? I haven't dropped the phone and I have the otterbox defender on it.

It's pressure being applied to the back of the screen from an internal component. My device has it as well, I've just learned to deal with it.

Mine has had it from the start. Some people with cases have removed the case and the dot went away. Mine has been there since I got it. I unfortunately have the verizon red one and when I called to get a replacement, they couldn't because they didn't have any more. My only option was to wait for a refurb and I didn't want that, so I live with it also.

ugh, my first DNA had this issue, and i didn't even use the holster shell combo like everyone who had it did.
it appeared out of nowhere. i since have returned that DNA, had a GS3, and eventually got another DNA lol

Back Cover does NOT fit properly on my Note

Goes anybody else have this problem? I don't know why but the battery cover does not fit properly on the lower left side. 2 pins are visible and it creaks a lot when its moving around in my hands.
I went to an AT&T store to take a look at their display model and noticed the same thing.
No problem with mine. Are you sure it's fully seated? Lay it face down on a towel and run your finger all the way around the edge applying some pressure and see if it doesn't snap into place. I know from experience that it can look seated, but still need a little more of a push to get it all the way there.
There's not much the forum can so for you, just take it back.

Take it off and snap the pins in from the bottom up.

Mine is the same for sure, I have taken it off and tried to realign and it makes absolutely no difference. It creaks the most by the volume rocker, fairly annoying! I suppose I'll have to return mine as well then.

I took mine back to the AT&T retail store and they told me they could exchange the battery cover IF they got some returns back but after checking 3 AT&T stores Ive found that they are all sold out of the Galaxy Note and have no returns.
The second option they offered me was to wait until AFTER the 30 day period (yeah right) and go to the AT&T tech support store and see what they can do for me (yeah, like that's going to help)
So finally I told them that they should waive the activation fee while I look/wait for a solution.
Wow...if you call warranty they direct you to go to the store and have it exchanged. That is actually the policy listed online

Mine is the same way, three pins on the left side just wont snap into place and my back pops off occasionally. I haven't decided if im going to keep it or exchange it yet.
I put one of the metal like covers on the back and the clips dont line up right on it. I tried to shorten the misalligned clips to fit but anytime i tried to shorten one the whole clip popped off. Theres still enough to hold it on, but not as secure as my OEM one, which fits like a glove. So if these were modeled after some of the early backs, I can see why your having trouble as it had the exact gaps you are speaking of befoe I went all macgyver on it. I am sure OEM is better quality, but i would still recommend AGAINST my method of altering the clips unless it's your last ditch attempt before buying a recplacement back.

[Q] Cracked Screen SGII

Hey all,
So my parents bought me a US AT&T SGII(not skyrocket) mid October, a couple of days after it came out, and I have loved it ever since. Anyway, yesterday I dropped my phone and the screen cracked pretty badly. There's like a shatter pattern in the bottom right and one long crack going diagonally across the middle.
Are there any suggested routes for getting the screen replaced or repaired... or really any ideas in general?
P.S. As far as I know there is only the default manufacturers warranty which I don't think would cover cracks this bad. I don't believe there is any insurance on this phone or anything like that.
Thanks for your help!
From what I've read, it's around 200 for a new screen.
Sent from my SGH-I777 using Tapatalk
First of all I'm sorry that is your is crack. Like mentioned before you are going to have to play 200 plus for the screen. If you don't have insurance then I suggest that its best to replace the phone its. Most local shops that replace screens will tell you that they wouldn't replace it. Screen plus labor your looking at roughly 300 bucks. That's about the price of a new phone.

I feel bad for the OP.
Hmm, another drop and screen shattered.
Probably a good time to get a case and screen protector.

owners of blue s3, peeling paint?

today i checked my s3, i found this the paint of my inside screen "back" key peeling off near the border inside the gorilla glass, its really faint but if u look close u can see it, i heard samsung have problem with the blue version but my gs3 is only 2 weeks old, never feel, so far only thing it could get there is a raindrop.
anyone else here experience something similar? was trying to get picture but its really thin hard to notice.
i dont think warranty will cover it, especially since i root it, and its perfectly working phone. sadly in a year when i can sell it probably going to lose more paint.
I feel your pain bro imperfections bug the hell out a me because once you notice it your always looking at it , I've had no issues with my pebble blue beast yet but this is my second one in 2 weeks the first one I messed up flashing modems anyway phone the store and tell them there's a problem with your phone when trying to answer calls that's what I did ten days after buying mine , and see if they will exchange it , if yes just wipe binary factory reset and take that ***** back , at the end of the day its a £500 pound smartphone if your not happy you should be able to return or exchange it , I'd go to the shop and make them exchange it or else : ) good luck don't waste time

no, but the peeling was inside the screen and it looks really over the thin border... i have only 2 weeks with the phone.
i got it on contract on claro, and i doubt they going to exchange it over something so small as paint :/
i looked in AT&T gs3 forums and pretty similar to the border chrome peeling off issue :/, like my n82 eventually it all wear off with time.
The only reason there were launch delays for the SGS3 were because of the pebble blue version even though they are made of the same material you can look closely that they have a difference with the white version in the feel of your palm. Manufacturer's are having a crisis in the pebble blue department that's why I took the white one instead.

Just unroot/triangle away and return to store. Its worth a try.
I'm using a TPU case with screen protector since day 1 as always. No problem.
Okay I can't say that I own a s3 but with Samsung phones in general I can tell you this. My Samsung impression(dinosaur) had the same problem. After awhile the paint was coming off chipping and all that. Its just what Samsung uses I suppose just had to put my two sense in

My top left hand corner stainless steel paint peel off. my phone in the protective case first day! I don't even till I was shopping for extra case, remove it and there it is black color!
Do you guys think they exchange another one for me?
Can we see some images?
No case/protector here since day 1. Phone is about a month and half old. As good as new, no paint peel, no scratch/crack on its own.
would be hard to get a picture, its really small but its pretty much blue paint peeling from the lighter blue border, it looks black below. its really faint,i dont touch it so it doesnt remove more paint
i going to ask tomorow but i doubt it, they gotta replace it.
if not, i guess i will have to order online a protector. but even n82 took a while for the paint to peel, this took 2 weeks.
I have been using mine with no protection at all for a few weeks now and have not had any issues- blue s3

[Q] Am I the only victim of the blue splotch in the middle of the screen?

As I am lying down on my bed browsing the interwebs, I am on a page where it is black text with a white background. I notice in the middle of my screen, a blue splotch of coloration. I try to wipe it off, it does not go away. I browse to another page, it is still there. Wtf?? Do I have to send this thing back or what? Am I the only one?

If it's been less than 14 days since your purchase you will want to go back to the place you bought it or another corporate Verizon store (assuming you purchased it from a corp store in the first place) and they will give you a brand new replacement.
If it has been more than 14 days you will need to call Verizon or go into a corporate Verizon store to have them issue a warranty replacement.
Good luck!
PS. Depending on when you bought it you may be included in Verizon's "extended holiday return policy" in which case you would have until January 15th to go into a corp store and have it replaced.
I noticed one on my screen too. It's fairly small, and for me, it's not worth the effort to try and get a replacement. You can only really see it over a white background. I also noticed that there may be a second similar spot at the very top edge of my screen. I use a battery app that displays the battery level as a bar across the top of the screen. When I view it at an angle a small part of the bar appears darker. NBD really.
Yeah I had the same thing. I took it into vzw and they took one look at it and ordered me a warranty replacement immediately. Put a dead pixel test app on your phone in case you get a stubborn salesman.
Try this one.

Is there are blue splotch on your replacement or no?
PS I heard that the blue splotches were caused by too much pressure on the phone, for example, Verizon's case caused quite a few people to get the blue spot. How did the rest of you get the blue spot?

I have the vzw tpu case and I do suspect that it is the cause of the creaky back cover. My replacement was perfect until I put the case on. I peeled it off and then it started to creak. It is super snug.
I have the Verizon case, you think it's causing it?

That's what I have too Jay. I don't think its so much the pressure while its on, its the wear and tear of taking it off. My replacement didn't creek and was solid until I put on and took off my you case. It flexes the back cover and is probably a screen component underneath. New one no blotches yet. We will see.

Oh yuck! I am soooo paranoid I am going to break mine, I just got it tonight and the protector is coming in the mail. I might leave it at home and just keep using the Droid 4 in the mean time until it comes in.
Have you seen if there are any "phone fix it" shops that can replace the glass that is cracked? (I am assuming it is the glass that is cracked and not the screen itself, right?) My coworker dropped his Rezound and shattered the glass and got it replaced for a little over $100. Granted, the Rezound is a smaller phone, but it might not be much more. It will be cheaper than a new phone, that's for sure. Also, my IT manager just cracked his GS3 and replaced the glass himself with a heatgun and only spent $27 for the new glass and the tools needed, if you think you can do it yourself.
Unfortunately, I cracked mine as well. Landed face flat on a concrete floor as I was pulling it out. I didn't have my case on like a moron, so it's my own fault. Because I don't have insurance I was planning on calling Samsung to see how much the repair would cost, but I'm worried about the price because of the Wacom digitizer. It'd also make repair from local shops harder to do. What do you guys think?
I just contacted Samsung for a friend a couple weeks ago and the screen repair with parts and labor was just over 190 bucks. You can get a quote using the Samsung online chat, just have your emei number ready because they use that to generate the quote.
Edit: He already got his phone back and it appears they just gave him a new one. I think he was only without it like 10 days or so.
I know how you feel. Mine fell out of my purse when I got out of the car. I had on a wallet style case that leaves the top and bottom exposed. It flew open when it dropped. The chrome ring has a huge ding and screen crack on the bottom right. Everything works fine. It's just painful emotionally.
Here's what I found. Radio Shack can repair them. It has to be sent out. $70.00 to $90.00 for the glass, the chrome would be a little extra. Takes a couple weeks. They offer a lifetime warranty against defects (not droppage).
Another local cell phone company can do it on site. You pay a deposit, they order the parts and get them within 2 days, $290.00.
I didn't check with Samsung, but from this thread, it looks like it's worth checking with them also.

Just get on eBay you can get the glass and digitizer for around $200. Then its easy to fix from there. Also I suggest an urban armor gear case, I dropped mine from about chest level it bounced and landed face down I thought for sure it broke. Picked it up the case has a few scuffs but the phone is perfect plus this case isn't as bulky as otter box.

If you have always carried insurance with verizon, i would ask to speak with a supervisor. I have had insurance with vzw since the blackberry days. When i purchased a thunderbolt off contract a couple of years ago, i activated it in the store and the rep took my insurance off my line. A few months later the phone fell and broke. I was told i did not have insurance and i made mention that i have always carried insurance. The end result was they added insurance back on my line and vzw sent me a replacement phone.
