Go launcher is only for home launcher than what about Calling UI even this has 4 corners
BTW: i always press speaker button or mute button while in call its annoying me any Pro Dev's help me with out rooting or any 3rd party apps for both Home and Calling UI

that is related to launcher (home.apk) If u don't want them u have to replace the launcher. no other solutions.

You will have to mod system UI and phone.apk (root access)
And btw don't you have a proximity sensor to disable touch during call..
To OP: Try any launcher (apex, nova, go, miui home etc.) to remove the phone corners...
But if you want the Xperia look and feel... Try Xperia Z launcher:thumbup:

Yes. It won't replace the stock launcher, but you have another UI and you should be able to use go launcher, or apex, or any other. Or you root and you can try to play around with some system.apks

http://www.xperiablog.net/2011/07/31/new-sony-ericsson-home-launcher-leaked/

Most likely what we have seen with the leaked mini pro pics, different background colors for framework/dialer
Where are these pics? Hope we are allowed to make our own.

Is it safe?
i have it on my arc, very light, no loading apps that installed on sd card each time i press home button, improved animations for icons.
Is it just me or is there a big gab between the 4th row and the dock?

[MOD] Transparent Home Dock for Arc [ Update - 2.0.A.0.20 ]
It works nice on my stock non-rooted arc.
Problem is the widget overview is now pointless eye-candy. The widgets float around one over another and are harder to read and tap than last version. I don't see a way to turn it off even.
not working
Ok, I think that I have made something wrong because I can not see any difference.
I can see the option to remove instaled aps but can not see the overview and widgets floating?!
I have read somewhere that I have to remove everything from the desktop on my phone, tried that too but nothing.
By the way, non rooted Arc.
Thanks
the Theme setting is useless now, huh?
Hello everybody. Is it possible to get it with 7 homesreens ?
too bad i'm happy enough with go launcher ex...
and yes, unless they implement home screen extension, i can live without timescape and mediaplayer widget

Xperia arc landscape homescreen

Hi, is it any possible to make a landscape homescreen on Sony Ericsson Home?
Yes it is Possible
Yes it is possible but with the help of third party App
in the market there is two free apps available
1) Go Launcher ex
and
2) AWD launcher
install any one i recommend the AWD launcher
after install it press the home button and select the AWD home screen
when AWD is applied you can change its settings by tab on settings / preference
here is the option to landscape mode.

Sorry but i think this is not true - installed the fw on my arc and there is no landscape mode for homescreen. As far as i know it´s only possible with the xperia Play and Neo
Confirm, still not possible in latest ARC (4.0..) version. Unfortunately

Not on the Neo. I have one and it doesn't work in Landscape just by turning the phone.
Landscape on the launcher is ONLY activated if you
- slide open the keyboard/keypad (Pro and Play only obviously)
- dock the phone (all models)
Sony ericsson announced Homescreen landscape but it is only working on HDMI mode
i downloaded the leaked home.apk from sony and it did have the landscape mode. though the new firmware doesn't have it

For me the Landscape mode works fine for phone dialer, Call log etc. but not the Launcher
So the feature exist, only a dev should enable it.
I hope someone will fix this
Kind regards,
Vintiem

Until now New version[.368] not available for Play.
When it released,we can try that launcher in our ARC.
So landscape works for the keypad but what if you are doing a text search on contacts?
After clicking on the contacts text search can you flip the keypad to landscape?
(questions referring to non-physical keypad xperia arc, neo or ray)
Edit: I played with an Arc and have confirmed this shortcoming. At some stage you are stuck with a full qwerty in portrait mode. Guess it would be the same for a Ray

Which menu are trying to move icons around on? Or are you referring to the home screen or home launcher? If so, is it the launcher that comes with the phone or one you installed from an app store? What phone and what software update does it have? Did you root and install a custom recovery or just root only?

Try "Nova Launcher" if your device is Android 4.0+. Prime version is the launcher I#m using at the moment. Highy customizable and pretty fast

Thanks for you interested this problem.
Which menu are trying to move icons around on? -> This menu when I press button "home".
Or are you referring to the home screen or home launcher? -> Home screen.
What phone and what software update does it have? -> Xperia Arc S Android 4.0.4
Did you root and install a custom recovery or just root only? -> I had root him only.

Well, when you have the Red X there and the icons move around, that is the uninstall app option. Should just be able to hit the back button to get out of that part. Make sure there isn't an option in the settings of the home screen that lock the desktop, which prevents moving of icons and widgets around. If you are trying to sort them a custom way in the actual app drawer, it's very likely that the stock Sony home launcher does not have this option. Like the other member mentioned, check out the Nova launcher, or the Apex Launcher. Both have free and paid versions with lots of ability to customize to your liking as well as running very smoothly on most devices.
my fault

Launcher swich module [idea/suggestion]

hi my idea for new module is for swiching launchers even if one is set as default when you long pres the home button the dialog for choosing launcher shows up. So if you have default laucher set and you tap the home button the phone opens it but if you longpres the home button phone asks wich one to open always\just once. Can this be done? if some one ends up makeing this or similar module I dont want any credit as i only give the idea.
oh and if it maters my device is sony xperia Z2 runing the latest 4.4.2 oficial firmware.
I don't see any use in such a module. Why would you need 2 different launchers?

[LAUNCHER][NO ROOT] Xperia launcher alternative

Hi folks,
Bored of stock Xperia launcher?
Here's the best alternative, Lawnchair.
Google play version is outdated but you'll find latest update here: https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/delet...627-ci-q-merge-android-apk-download/download/
You will need Lawnfeed to enable Google left panel: https://lawnchair.app/lawnfeed/?ref=lawnchair
Enjoy
I like the way that Lawnchair Launcher looks overall, but I do not like that I can not hide the dock. I prefer having a full screen look where possible.
I like it but I don't like the clock, I wish you could get rid of that and use your own..

in the settings. I did not see anything for hiding either dock or clock. I must have missed something or it simply did not jump out and bite me to make it obvious as to what was needed to be done.
Edited to correct misspelling.

I went into the Dock settings and I saw nothing that said "Hide Dock".
I have Nova Launcher now and I can Peek a Boo the dock with a swipe gesture so that it is not always present and disappears when not needed.
That is what I am looking for here. Am I missing something here?
Hey great, thanks for pointing that out...have a look at what I've done...if Lawnchair 2 did a clock like that I would be happy...or if you could mod the clock, colour it, resize it, change the padding around it, and the icons for the weather....so I could make it look like that..
Either way, it looks a million times better than the Xperia launcher so thanks for the advice...
Happy to be able to create folders in the app drawer.
Anybody knows how to get rid of the white line below the dock?

Via adb, you could try:
wm overscan 0,0,0,-30
And to revert:
wm overscan 0,0,0,0
Bear in mind that this simply moves the nav bar below the bezel, some full screen apps react differently to this. Good luck.
I also like the Lawnchair Launcher a lot, but it cannot work with gestures navigation without quickswitch magisk moudle, which is pity like all other launchers
