When I connect my GTab to my Win7-64 over usb, I can access the main internal sdcard memory but I cannot get to the removeable SD card.
Currently I transfer my movie files to the internal sdcard and then use a filemanager to copy them to the external sd card.
I am on TNT-Lite 4.4.0. Is this how it is supposed to work?
Yes. That is normal behavior.
Thanks. At least know to stop trying to fix it.
Ok so I have never heard of this one before and I have tried looking for an answer.
My S2 works perfect when it has no micro sd inserted but the moment I put in a micro sd card the phone will boot ok but then it will not recognize any of the phone external storage (the 16gb bit) I get an mtp application has stopped error and I cannot access anything with any file managers not internal storage, external storage, or micro sd. The micro sd doesn't even show up and the rest show all directories as empty. I have this problem exactly the same if I flash a custom rom or stock rom rooted or unrooted it makes no difference. Anyone have any ideas? I have tried different sd cards but they all cause the same problem. I have tried reformatting the sd card also.
Flash dorimanx kernel version for the ROM you're on and test. Also formatting int sd card may help with this. Bk up you're data. format it and test.
I'm working on a tablet for a friend, running Android 4.1.1, just got it rooted, Link2SD running, SD card properly partitioned. Everything is good... except before installing Link2SD and partitioning the card, when I would connect the tablet to my PC by USB, and turn on USB Storage on the tablet, my PC would mount the tablet's internal storage from /mnt/sdcard and the tablet's micro SD card ... now that I'm using Link2SD when I enable USB Storage, it mounts the regular fat32 portion of the micro SD and the ext2 partition of the micro SD card created for Link2SD. Any idea why this is and how to correct it? I'm hoping there's a system setting somewhere that I can list which locations to share when turning on USB Storage mode on the tablet.
I have my GTi9100 with MIUI 4.8.8 ROM. I have root access and enabled Developer mode. My SD card is 12GB Fat32. I cannot use my camera because I get message 'turn off usb storage first' and I cannot read files or gallery because the phone is not recognising the SD card. I am wanting to use SD card as external storage and get apps to install to SD Card.
Can anyone give me suggestions as to how I set up the SD card to work please.
Hey guys I just got a Nexus 9 and a Micro USB SD Card Adapter, and I was wondering what custom ROM gives us the function to combine the internal storage with a SD Card connected via USB OTG?

None. USB otg doesn't contain the right mount points or, anything really to make it adoptable storage like you can with a device which has an SD card slot.
Oh okay when ever I root my tablet would I still be able to move apps to my OTG SD Card? Or does that require adoptable storage?

you're only going to be able to use OTG for Media or file storage or playing movies that you have stored on it. You can't move apps to it or anything like that. OTG is not the same thing as having a built-in SD card slot.
