K as some of you might know unlocking the bootloader can be very stressful. The fastest easy way is using Casual on unbuntu. You must install java and then casual. Make sure your usen stock rom i605VRALJ and enable adb mode then click do it and waite and relax it will do the rest. I'll make a video and post the link soon
Thanks kalkat579 and kintwofan for helping me also all who developed casual
Pretty sure droidmodderx already has.
But what to do next?
Titanium Backup then what app stops the other updates?

I think fwupgrade is needed for all share. If you use that leave fwupgrade, sdm will suffice.

Beans has said before to leave fwupgrade as battery life without it was not as good. Plus it by itself does no harm.

Live TV no. Just digital cable and road runner internet. As for the Dvr recording you just need a Dvr converter and digital cable.

What do you mean forcing it onto the phone?
Sent from my SGH-I777 using Tapatalk 2 Beta-5
It wont install on there at all and I found ways of forcing apps onto a phone through /system/apps but you have to be rooted to do it and its not my phone I'm needing to do this on so cant root it
It depends on the app

Maybe not, but there's a chance. He'll have to manually install it as a system app though...
Even if he doesn't get it to work, he can always just extract the wallpapers from the apk.

Trips your flash counter! Also a higher risk of bricks if the ROM builder goofed up.

Long as it is a completely stock image it won't. I don't think the route 66 version does either
Won't brick your device long as it is a .tar.md5 file or you make sure MD5 matches. Should be a tar.md5 file though.

The 2.06 update pops up every time I unlock my phone. I'm walking to the store, I look at my phone and behold its installing the 2.06 update on its own. Well played Verizon. The thought of selling this phone never crossed my mind, but since 2.04 root is priority over 2.06 I'm highly considering it.

It's not about how good stock is or isn't. It's about being able to do what you want.
Go try and use teamviewer or a vnc server. Need root.
How about Wi-Fi tether that doesn't require a screen password. Need root
Titanium backup? Nope... root.
Game cheat engine's... root
So while the stock interface is fine, no unrooted phone can do the above without it.

If you can wait, wait... if not and you want to avoid the KNOX binary trigger, use Root de la Vega. @mjcollum posted a thread about it in our Sprint Note 3 forum, here.
Personally, I could care less about KNOX security so I used CF-AutoRoot and jumped into all the fun that can be had.

knox knox...who's there...FREEEEE TETHER!!!!!! thats why i rooted!
Yea I pretty much went the keep it as stock as possible route and went the vega route just to keep my options open in the future. At this point pretty much just running a stock system with vega root. Xposed modules.wifi mod. And massively debloated. Seems ideal for me at this time. That way I can still go either way as development progresses . Return to complete stock. Or go all out with roms.
From my Note 3 using Tapatalk
Just rooted yesterday with the vega root, and you can still have wifi tethering with stock, and no knox trip either! Im still getting anxious to start flashing lol!

That's how I feel.. This is the first phone I didn't root the second it was available. . I would rather not trip Knox not cause of warrantee but for the unknown of what effect that might have down the road. Will this self destruct in a month .. Who knows. .
