Just got a Rezound. I'm unlocked, rooted the stock ROM (newest OTA). This is considered old firmware correct? And by firmware, that is referencing the hboot?
New firmware is an updated hboot?
Thanks for any info...
Yes you're correct. Firmware meaning hboot and radios.

Thank you!
So updating visa the ICS leak updated these firmwares yes? Now some devs are offering old firmware solutions?

Hi. If I didn't search thoroughly for a question like this, I apologize ahead of time. But I was curious if there is a way to s-off hboot 2.09 that is currently s-on?
I have not tried dirty racun yet.

I went s-on since day one after I got bored of stock and have never had any problems Tbh, I almost pity all the poor s-off folks who were too terrified to take the ota All it takes is a couple extra steps to flash anything and its been worth it so far. I preordered so I had plenty of chances to S-Off early on but I don't regret it at all.

Now s-on is not bad at all right? The only con is having to flash boot.img through fast boot when flashing a rom?

Another con is you can't update your firmware unless you relock and take the OTA or hope a recovery flashable zip comes along
So if your hboot was s-off, how is it any different than s-on? You still have to run the RUU to go back to stock then get the OTA right? Or are you talking about some other OTA?

There are Firmware zips available right now for 3.15 that can be flashed in the bootloader but you must be S-OFF to flash them.Just flash and everything is updated except hboot, kernel, and stock recovery.
Flashing those firmwares is the same as taking the OTA except for what I mentioned above

Ugh - took the OTA on an HTCdev unlocked boot loader and now it seems hboot 2.09 locks down the systems (can't update supersu binary, they locked down /system?). Now on viperboy stock rooted rom...
Hopefully they come out with an s-off technique for 2.09, need to be able to "hide" supersu/root binaries on my device...
Any news on s-off for hboot 2.09?
Hi, I'm am a noob, I got the JB update, then decided to root my phone. I am unlocked and rooted. I would like to turn s-off but my hboot is 2.09.
I am trying to flash mean bean and every time it gets to around 25%, my phone reboots. I am using twrp to try flashing it.
Any idea what I'm doing wrong? Or what I need to do?
Thanks again.
This is a CWM flashable I created to update the radio on the T-Mobile US P769 to L6260_MODEM_SIC_01.1232.00 for the new Jellybean update.
I have tested it on three different devices and all showed results.
Edit: It is confirmed that this radio will also function with CM10.1 for the P769BK
This is not needed if you have taken the OTA update and it applied successfully. This is only needed if you used the CWM work around because you were unable to get the OTA update. Find here. When I used the CWM method to update the radio did not take so I created this. Your mileage may very.
It does take awhile to process allow the file to run. Make sure your device has a charge.
Required: Root with CWM recovery find artas182x CWM here. Will function on a locked BL.
Again this is for the T-Mobile US P769. I am not responsible if you brick your phone.

To help the old baseband version was L6260_MODEM_SIC_01.1233.00 based on 10g.
I tried OTA 3 times, all failed with android/red triangle, so I use CWM to upgrade v20d.
My Baseband version shows L6260_MODEM_SIC_01.1232.00.
Do I have the same version as this one? If so, I do not need to flash this zip file.
Thanks!

You might be able to get them by downgrading and waiting for the ota update zip to pop up.

I'm on 4.1.2 currently - Stock - But haven't received the OTA update yet. (My carrier hasn't pushed it yet, sounds like its still a month away)
Is it worth unlocking the bootloader, putting a custom recovery on and flashing a 4.2.2 rom? (Android Revolution as I want the stock experience) Just for the updates 4.2.2 brings?
I've used 4.2.2 on other phones I have (Xperia ZL Stock and Nexus 4 running PA 3.5) so I'm aware of what the stock upgrades are, but what does 4.2.2 bring to the HTC One over 4.1.2? Any improvements?
I want to try Android Revolution but have been hesitant on doing so - I have a Rogers Canada version of the HTC One LTE (Same as AT&T). Am I able to flash International roms like Android Revolution on my phone and maintain LTE?
I am S-ON, but I understand Most roms still use the Stock Kernel correct? So how would I go from 4.1.2 Stock rom to 4.2.2 Android Revolution as far as flashing? Do I need flash the boot.img first? (Doing it with S-ON is what I'm implying, yes I know there are S-OFF methods currently)
Update: I'm now S-OFF, Rooted, Unlocked Bootloader and on Stock 4.1.2 Rogers ROM.

4.2 bring some improvements like native eqs and lockscreen widgets all you need to remember is 4.2 changes the file structure so it is best to backup and wipe before going to it all you need to do is follow the op for arhd and you will be alright

I unlocked bootloader, Flashed CWM Touch and S-OFF'd using the Revone method.
I didn't realize S-Off was so easy.
Rooted as well.
I work very early (5am) so will try flashing rom tomorrow.
Is there anyway of upgrading the firmware from Rogers to the newest UL? Any help here would be appreciated.

Yes I know there have been threads on this but all deal with custom roms.
I have the stock rom, rooted and unlocked bootloader, with TWRP recovery. What do I need to do to get the OTA update, OR is the update available anywhere that I can just flash it through TWRP.
I am assuming I will need to flash the stock recovery back (Which I don't have), and possibly lock the bootloader. Does locking it clear the phone like unlocking it does?
Is the AT&T OTA update 4.2.2 or just some tweaks? Anyone know the benefits?

What is the lastest FW for htc one At&t?
I am sick of waiting att to release 4.2.2. The only solution I read now is to convert att rom to developer edition, which requires s-off and supercid. However, I have no intention to keep the device bootlocker unlocked. And I heard current s-off and s-on methods no longer work with 4.2.2.
So would it work if I convert the rom to developer edition, then s-on and relock the device, and at last upgrade to 4.2.2?
I'm running 1.26.502.12
I believe this is the latest.

Why are you guys waiting to upgrade to 4.2.2 if you are unlocked and rooted? Just install a custom ROM that is built from 4.2.2 basebuild?

That is a viable option if you're already rooted. I ran AT&T stock rooted 1.26.502.12 for a while myself. But I've used both Scott's Clean Rom (Based off of stock AT&T/ HTC 4.1.2) and I'm using Android Revolution HD 12.1 today (HTC 4.2.2). Once you're rooted, there's those and plenty of other variations on HTC's Sense 5 interface with either 4.1.2 or 4.2.2 out there so there's not really allot of reasons to stay bone stock. Any updates (or the useful parts of them, at least) will be picked out and used by the Devs we have working on the One so I wouldn't bother waiting on OTAs. Just keep a nandroid of your stock setup in case you need to revert back for warranty purposes.
Good luck with att. They genuinely suck. I flashed to viperrom and supercid and flashed firmware my self. Not going to wait till Christmas for a damn update from them while they figure out how to update their terrible apps like att drive.
