If you're interested in flashing custom roms, there is safe strap from hashcode. Best to do a full rsd back to stock, root, install ss apk, use ss apk to install the alt recovery, boot into the alt recovery, create your rom slot, select your slot and flash

He's stock rooted now. Do you have a link to safe strap?

I say to do a full rsd, or at least a restore to factory, because if he has a lot of apps/general data you may run into space issues, especially if wants to use more than one rom slot

System/app files

Hello everyone,
I've put myself between a rock and a hard place. I made the mistake of deleting some of the stock system apps (bloat) vs. making them .bak files. Now, when I go to try and update OTA, it always fails. What should I do? Is there any place I can find the stock apps + odex files? (US Verizon LTE Version)
Thanks!

Flash it right over what I have now, and they'll all be back??
If so, thanks a million!
That's the one. Even leaves your data intact. Pretty neat, I thought.

Okay, sorry for all of the questions, but do I just flash this through CWM using bootstarap?
Nope - you flash it through fastboot mode using RSD Lite from a Windows PC.

HELP - Stuck in Bootloop

I am running a rooted TB on iKream and I have sold it so I popped in another SD card and started a factory reset. Phone shut off and then was stuck in the startup animation for over half hour. I can get to recovery and tried reset and reboot from there with the same results.
What can I do from here???

Can you be a little more specific? Flash the ROM again??

You need to flash a different Rom now. You could just get a stock ruu which would be easier. You can't do a factory reset on most custom roms.

Here is a link to the latest HTC firmware. There is a totally stock unrooted and rooted version. This is not the ics leak.

Sorry if the links don't work. I didn't check them but if they don't I'm sure someone there probably has the ruu. Heath probably has it if you can't find one.

How did you flash CM10.1.?
If you used SS or BMM, you can simply delete the slots and boot back to stock.
Else use fastboot files to reflash stock ROM.

I've got this Phone from a friend with this ROM. SS means safestrap?

Yes SS is safestrap. When you turn on the phone, do you see the safestrap splash screen or it simply boots to CM?

Safestrap screen.
Sent from my XT910 using xda app-developers app
Well then reboot and in recovery change boot option to stock to make sure your stock ROM runs fine. If
it does then you can delete the extra slots.

Not a problem. I assume you are otherwise stock? If so, you just need to download the stock ROM from the development forum and flash it from your recovery. You can wipe cache and dalvik, but that's it if you want to keep your apps and settings intact. If you want to start over from scratch, you would do a factory reset. Going to that extreme should be unnecessary, though.

What about the stock systemUi.odex file for S4 running ME7?

BajaRom S4 and themes

So I finally got this installed after some Samsung newbie struggles. My question is do I need to just flash the zip of choice in Safestrap on top of the stock slot I'm already using for the rom?
