I have the Virgin Mobile Canada version of the i1900, and I installed cm10.1 on it. My problem is that any non-Samsung rom doesn't recognize that I am on Virgin rather than Bell... So really I have two questions...
1) Will I be charged extra from Virgin due to the fact that my phone is recognized as being on Bell?
2) Even after deleting the Bell apn settings and creating the proper apn for Virgin, it still only sees Bell. How would I go about setting the correct apn for Virgin?
Any help is greatly appreciated...

that's probably because you don't have the APN settings in your phone. either google their APN or just call Orange and ask them to give you the information that you need.
Yes, you are going to have to call them and ask them for the APN settings. Thats what I did and I am using the MySimpleMobile sim card.

my gf bought a htc legend when we were living in australia on vodafone network and all worked fine.we have just come back to the uk and have put a new sim in on 3 network.it will make calls text and conect to wifi but will not allow data traffic it just says connecting on the mobile data tab but never does.the sim card allows data has i have tried it in my phone.
any ideas of what i need to do,is it because its from australia,will it work over in the uk,should it,or do i need to do something to the phone to allow data,
any help would be good.

is the phone unlocked? can it run another sim other then the vodafone one?
or in youre new location youre still on vodafone network?
most likely the phone doesn`t know how to configure the apn for the data
google your network`s android apn and go to settings wireless networks mobice connection set apn create a new one or change the existing one while the phones mobile connection is turned on
Yep, I can confirm this problem may be fixed by identifying and filling in your APN for your network.
I had the same problem, as well, this fixed it.

Recently I switched provider, I went from T-mobile to Simyo. Simyo is a dutch low budget provider. Furthermore I have a galaxy s2 with the following custom rom: CriskeloRom V38

The problem is that I am not able to get data connection. I entered all the apn settings correctly if I am right. I even called simyo helpdesk and checked all the apn settings with a coworker.
So, my question is: Might it be the problem that the custom rom makes it impossible to set up a data connection? (I have to ad that with t-mobile I was able to use data).
Any help would be much appreciated! Thx in advance
I have to add that there is also no data symbol in the status bar and that the data connection and roaming settings are enabled.

The way your question is worded, you'd be better off asking in the thread for CriskeloRom specifically.
That said, without knowing for sure, I'd guess Simyo doesn't use the same UTMS bands for data as T-Mobile, and may not actually be compatible with this phone? I don't know. Does your co-worker also have a GT-I9100 on Simyo?
Though, you should at least get Edge. But I'm not even in Europe, so I'm just guessing.

I recently bought a Unlocked Radar 4G from Canada. I have T Mobile and I was thinking I can download HTC Connection Setup so I can make MMS work. I was wrong. The first time I tried downloading it said I have the wrong region. I changed the region from Canada to United States, tried redownloading again and it installed. But when I run The Connection D\Setup App, it says my carrier is not on the list. Is there anyway I can edit the mms apn? Is it possible to flash a Tmobile branded Rom to the device or will I brick?

I have a Rogers Lumia 920 with service from WIND. I have an option to roam unlimited in the USA. Without changing the APN settings, data isn't working. I'm trying to change the APN settings to the T-Mobile ones but it's still not working. Any thoughts on what I should be doing?

Normally you're not supposed to change your APN settings. The partners recognize your Wind APN settings and "bill" Wind. Wind knows you have the add-on so they take care of it internally.
You may want to call Wind and see what they say.
