booting problem - XPERIA X10 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

hi every one
i have Sony Ericsson xperia x10
i replaced the file named (build.prop) trying to add the official Arabic language
when i restart the phone its stop on the green logo
then i enter in recovery mode and made a factory swipe and cache swipe
then div and battery swipe
the phone stops on the black screen with Sony Ericsson
and i cant enter the recovery mode
so what can i do to fix this problem ??
help me if any one know how to fix this
i know it is my fault

you did a factory reset .... i think you had deleted your current firmware and data ....
so you should download a stock generic firmware 2.3.3 ... flash it with the latest flashtool, root it, and install xrecovery ... then you can install any GB custom rom which supports Arabic interface ... or you can unlock your bootloader to install CM10 which also supports that

http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?vy4v24ditk4lsxa
get the latest flashtool :

install flashtool first then install the file in drivers folder in c:/flashtool/drivers
extract the firmware .zip you downloaded and copy the .ftf file you got into firmwares folder in c:/flashtool/firmwares
then run flashtool and press first button Flash .. then choose the firmware 2.3.3 generic and tick wipe user data and wipe cache dont tick any other option and press ok
of course you phone is off ... plug the cable in phone and hold back button when pluging the cable in pc ... then when the window you see disappears and it starts flashing release the back button ... and wait till it finish flashing ... then unplug the cable and start you phone

i changed the file (build.prop) already
but i don't like the new changes
the Arabic language have somethings i don't like
i will try your ROM and hope its the official stock rom

[Q] X10 Mini Pro Touchscreen problem CM7

Hi,
I'm new here and i hope my english is not as bad as i think
I've installed the CM7 v21 for mini pro
It works very fine and I'm really satisfied
But I've one big problem
If I use the hardware keyboard, I can't use the touchscreen any more.
I have to reboot the phone, then the touchscreen works without any problem.
When I use the hardware keyboard again, I have the same problem...
Any suggestions?
Please help
Thanks
Kettex
Are there really no suggestions?
Did you make full wipe before flashing rom? What kernel do you use?
First at all thanks for the answer!
Yes I made a full wipe
I use the standard kernel:
kernel-version:
2.6.29

maybe one more wipe data -after- fresh installing of rom ? hm really don't know
I don't think the problem came up with the new rom, because I also had the problem with another rom (Andread 2.3.5)
I'll try a wipe again
Did you have 2.1.1.A.0.6 kernel and SE firmare before you flashed new ROM?
You need to download flashtool and install it, from this thread download 2.1.1.A.0.6 kernel and lybril files for that kernel. Third file is dual touch module and it's optional if you want dual touch Unzip ftf file and copy to subdirectory firmares of flashtool folder. Unziped lybril files copy to root of sd card.
Tutorial for using flashtool
Now proceed with step by step with steps below:
1. Charge your phone fully before going any further
2. Enter CWM and backup your current ROM
3. Turn off your phone and flash the kernel you downloaded
4. Turn on phone and enter CWM and flash lybril files
5. Turn off phone and repair your phone using PC Companion
6. After this steps turn on the phone, root it, install cwm again, flash new ROM and enjoy.
EDIT: added files to attachments
I'll try this, but all the download links are down
Doesn't work anyway... :-/
SEUS is official removed by Sony Ericsson but don't worry just download latest PC Companion and start your in flashmode (you can see green light in the corner) and go to the support zone and update your phone..Bingo your phone starts like its nothing happen
This post was not really helpful Maya ;-)
I repaired the phone with PC Companion and I flashed the stock rom --> everything was fine
But the problem with the touchscreen and the hardware keyboard even occured at stock rom 2.1 update 1
I followed the steps in the post above, but I got the same problem again and again...

Maybe you got a hardware problem? some kind of loose connection that gets shorted when you slide the keyboard?

Did u unlock bootloader? Or still locked?
Flash generic ftf using flashtool or try repair using PCC.

If you have installed clockworkmod recovery and able to boot into recovery, then try flashing any custom rom(don't forget to wipe cache and data).
OR
Flash a GB or ICS rom (.ftf extension) via flashtool.
you need to download any .ftf firmware for your phone.
then install flashtool.
put your downloaded .ftf files to C/program files/flashtool/firmwares.
turn off your phone, hold down the volume down button, while you do that don't let it go just yet.
open flashtool.
connect your phone to pc using usb cable.
wait until flashtool recognized your device.
then click on the lightning icon and choose flashmode.
then choose the .ftf files that you just downloaded then click on "start" if im not mistaken.
then just sit back and relax and wait till flashing finished.
that's it. your phone will boot normally.
if you dont want your files in phone memory (downloaded games/apps/settings),
unchecked wipe data and cache in flashtool before you flash the .ftf
Flash Using Flashtool
Just flash your phone using flash tool.
1. Download the respective *.ftf file for your phone.
2. And then flash using the flash tool available for xperia.
:good:
if you really want to save your data ..and you already have cmw ..
there is a tricky way ..but not sure if it would work or not
Thank you very much guys. I reflashed my phone. Problem solved, but all my messeages gone, thats the only bad thing, and Market app is still not updates to Google Play, i dont know why

I had the same problen and fixed it. So first you will need a stock firmware of ICS (find it on google can't provide link because I am using phone...sorry) then you will need latest Flashtool version (download it on google too).
Once you have everything downloaded follow the steps.
1)Instal Flashtool (it's easy)
2)Then open it and navigate folder with name Firmwares.
3)Put in this folder the .ftf file you downloaded (I mean the stock Firmware) Plug the phone in and wait while Flashtool will recognize your phone. IF not instal ADB drivers
4)Then open Flashtool and hit the button with the lightning
5)Choose flashmode
6)Then choose the firmware you puted in the folder.
7)Follow the on-screen instructions and you have your phone back
Reply if I helped you!!!

u can just reflash your kernel and restore your backup from recovery. if u used x-parts or any app to install recovery it installs it to system partition. when u install a new rom it wipes your system partition.
if u haven't unlocked bootloader u have to flash stock firmware via flashtool. then install a recovery mode and restore your backup.

u maybe using an incompatible kernel. try reflashing it via flashtool. if it doesn't works use fastboot commands from command prompt or a terminal.

I think you are flash the wrong kernel, the kernel you've flashed is for ICS not for GB..
You may just have soft-bricked your phone, but don't fret . My Neo V was also got stuck on the SONY logo yesterday, after I tried to flash a custom ROM. The phone wouldn't even go into recovery mode. I tried many things to get my phone back up again including flashing the stock kernel, but nothing worked, except repairing it through PC Companion.
If nothing else works, you can try the "Repair" option in Sony PC Companion, which will flash your phone with the latest stock ROM and you will have to root it again (if you want). But BEWARE, all your phone data will be LOST, if not already backed up. If you are wondering where to find the "Repair" option in PC Companion, open the software >> Support Zone >> Update Firmware. On this small window where it asks you to connect your phone, you will see the "repair" option just below on this screen.
You may have done many wrong things, you need to divide kernel issues from rom ones.
Anyway you can set back to stock firmware (rom+kernel) flashing the fw you want with flashtool. Full wipe is a must. If you can't enter cwm right now you will lose your rom-data in order to restore phone.
When you flash a kernel you have to check which android rom it is build for (gb, ics, jb), or your phone will not be able to boot.
Then when you flash a rom you have to make full wipe and follow its instructions.
Of course if you flash whole stock firmware you don't have to worry about the things above.
Don't use PC companion, instead use Sony Update Service. If it refuses to help you, then flash fw manually with flashtool.

flash official .62 rom using flash tool and it'll work
then
flash nightelf GB kernel using fastboot or flashtool
after that reflash your rom

Hello!
Remember this: You CAN'T use stock kernel with Cyanogenmod. You need to flash the kernel included inside the zip you downloaded.
And as far as I know, there is no CTC kernel for Xperia Mini or Xperia MDPI.
Since you already said that you unlocked the bootloader of your phone, try reflashing stock ICS firmware of Xperia Mini using Flashtool. Then if you want to install the ICS Cyanogenmod, download the zip file for your phone. After downloading the zip, flash the kernel that can be found inside the zip. That kernel has already a CWM installed so no need to install CWM manually. After flashing the kernel, install now the Cyanogenmod zip.

did u mess up ur phone in previous?!?! it looks like.
1. unlock bootloader is only once. it will STAY unlocked no matter what u do. so dont do it again
2.before installing a custom rom like CM, flashing a stock.ftf is good idea like u do, BUT:
a) make sure its the latest version of flashtool
b) install the drivers in the drivers folder of flashtool.
c) may install android SDK to get the google usb drivers (dont install ALL!!! just leave all like it is & install)
2.1 SO NOW if u flash a stock.ftf fw for YOUR phone, IT WILL BOOT 100%. ELSE:
a) u doing sth wrong (wrong fw etc)
b) ur phone is broken , a stock ics ftf will boot 100%, remember.
after this install cm like u say (kernel flash 1st than rom.--> boot)
