Galaxy S3 I9300 TW HOME Launcher loop on restart. Please help - Galaxy S III Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

1st of all sorry for my bad English or any grammatical error.
2nd sorry if it is not in a right forum. I am only allowed to post hare
My Galaxy I9300 Working great from last august. There was no problem what so ever. On February 2nd 2013, my phone forced closed and made an auto reboot while I was trying to shoot a video. I was on I9300XXEMA2 from zoot1. From that moment my phone is giving me on particular problem which is still continuing till today. The problem is each time I restart my phone my default TW home launcher automatically restart 6 - 9 times. I also use APEX launcher, my phone asks me to choose a launcher 6 – 9 time. This thing happen for approximately 2 -3 minutes. After that there is no error. The problem don’t happens any time after that, it only occurs on restart. If I don’t use APEX or any other launcher (EX – go, nova, miui) the default home launcher just cut off any thing that I try to do for two to three minutes. For example I can’t even make a call for the first 2 -3 minutes. But after that everything turns to normal. Only the home launcher restarts the phone don't.
So I made backup using titanium backup of all my required app
And I have tried the following to solve the problem. But no use
1. Tried XXEMB1, with full wipe, + cash & delvic cash wipe. CF Root 6.4 Via ODIN.
2. Wanam lite XXEMB5 with full wipe, + cash & delvic cash wipe. Via CWM.
3. Tried XXEMB1, with full wipe, + cash & delvic cash wipe. Via ODIN, no back up restore a fresh start, + full wipe, + cash & delvic cash wipe.
4. CM 10 , CWM (with full wipe, + cash & delvic cash wipe) .
I also tried but did not worked.
a) Adam Kernel 1.3
b) Siyah kernel 1.8.6
c) Making other launchers default doesn't help.
d) Disabling or uninstalling the TW home don't work.
For few times I did not ROOT my device to check if it is a problem of Root, but it was not.
I tried check if it was a problem of any of my app, so I did not use the for titanium backup. But no help either. The problem always come back after a few restarts.
I tried but I did not like the CM 10 and 10.1,. They lags a lot, Also the unforgettable camera bug. I also tried the SuperNexus from Faryaab, but I like the Samsung stock best. I tried the XXFMB3 4.2.1 from Wanam lite and for 3 days and it did not gave me any problem. But XXFMB3 is quite buggy and leggy compared to 4.1.2. So I ask help from all of you to please give me a solution. I want stick to 4.1.2 till the 4.2.2 comes out or the Galaxy S4 premium suit comes to S3. Please help me. ………….

P.S I am writing this on 3 am in the morning (I am from Bangladesh). Please keep providing your solution even if you don’t see a reply from me within 8 hours.

Then Again complete wipe from setting..

I have tried both official and custom rom.
And also full wipe and factory reset.
No help in any case.
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda app-developers app

Bro its probably because of CM 10.... TW Launcher seems to be conflicting with it... Try flashing any other ROM other than CM10 and see if the problem persists...
Sent from my GT-I9300 (Hassan Khalid Malik) using xda premium

I don't think Its a CM problem. I am not a CM based rom. Besides I have flashed several roms Both CM based and Stock roms the problem
remains.
BUT--------------
Yesterday morning I downloaded The I9300XXUFMB3 from Zoot, Working fine since. Particularly I dont like I9300XXUFMB3 for its lock screen
and minor lagging. But As the launcher is not auto looping any more. Sticking with this till something reliable comes out from Samsung.

I found both the problem and the solution. It was Jet Audio Music player. I have to go through every single of my app to figure out the problematic
App. After Clearing Data and Uninstalling Jet Audio The problem solved completely.
Thank every one for help. thanks to every one.

Help!!! All apps force closing!!!

Hi. I'm running MIUI 2.3.2 and I like it alot. But every once in a while all my apps will force close and they wont stop. I've had to Odin back to stock and flash it all over again like 3 times! I haven't gone a full week without it doing that. Everytime I flash it I wipe dalvik...wipe cache partition & everything but iit still does it. Can someone please help?
I also flashed a new modem but it was compatible with miui cm7 would that be the problem? I didnt wipe anything for that. Was I suppose to?
I also use the miui controller mod to put my clock in the center. Didn't wipe for that either. Would that be a problem?
Please let me know. Thanks.

Have you tried going into cwm and fix permissions?
Sent from my SGH-T959 using xda premium
I did that when it did it the first & second times but each time I did it it would work properly for a few days then everything would force close again.

Sometimes restoring app data across different "platforms" (that is) -- backing up apps and data then restoring over and over again, leads to this sort of problem. I rarely have this issue itself come up, but usually if clearing the caches and going and manually clearing the data doesn't do the trick, I have to just uninstall the problem apps and reinstall fresh.

[Q] Anyone have any tips about this?

Now my head i about to explode
Anyhow, I have an annoying problem.
Before the upgrade to XXALF6 I noticed no problem other than the known drainage of the battery in idle mode.
I rooted and flashed a ROM and it was ok.
But I got sick of the ROM and I hard reset the phone.
No problems.
Then I upgraded to XXALF6 - still unrooted and all.
First thing I notice is that the phone is lagging a bit now and then. Then when I sent and recieved an SMS or two the phone hung and rebooted.
I seems that happend because when vibration was active.
Also there was a new message saying "com.google.process.gapps" stopped working. And that came up again and again.
As far as I could find online that had to do with syncing the calendar and it should help to clear calendar cache in the phone. It did not.
Then I rooted the phone, just "CF-Root-SGS3-v6.4", no other ROM.
Now the problem was even worse and also the sound stops working on and off all the time.
I tried to find the "com.google.process.gapps" with a file explorer with no luck.
I do find it in ROM Toolbox but its not possible to see the where on the phone the file is even there. Also its not possible to uninstall or even kill the process.
I did notice there seem to be doubles of some apps that I didnt notice previously to flashing CF-Root this time.
And I recall the new guide never mentions to wipe any phone data whatsoever during rooting the phone, and now I am thinking that maybe that should have been in the guide?
Anyhow.. appreciate ANY tips at all, Im so sick of this for the moment ^^
Go to cwm recovery, wipe cash, wipe dalvik cash, wipe data/factory reset, then go to mounts&storage, format system. Then put your phone into the download mode and flash ROM again with odin. This should give you a nice and clean install, without any force closes..

I did wipe all things, cache, Dalvik, battery and user data with CWM.
At the moment it seems the phone is quite okay actually! The only thing left is SU.
U think I have to format system as well? What else would really be "cleaned" out that wasn't allready with the wipes?
Trust me,some of the devs insisted on formating system before flashing their custom roms, and I did have a bunch of force closes, until I decided to go their way and fully format the phone. It then installs everything from the scratch,so there's no way anything to go wrong.. give it a try,and report back... btw. make sure that you DO NOT restore any of the system data,if you use TB
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda app-developers app
Yeah I pretty much learnt same way as predja it is always better to do full system wipe, it is not always necessary with some roms but if you do it you won't come across the problems you have as often.

Thanks.
I have edited my post and added more info.
So... is this solved?
I guarantee if it isn't it would be by wiping data/factory reset + wipe cache + wipe dalvik cache and flashing the latest version of a reputable ROM.

I think so as well. If not fixed by that then the only other alternative is a hardware fault.

I have done these three wipes befor flashing the last rom.
But could you suggest me a reputable ROM. and post its link please.
Well it sounds like an .apk problem.
Try: WanamROM for stock or RootBox2.1 if you want to go down the AOKP/CM10 route.
> G S II Android development. I'm sure you can find them yourself.
What is an apk problem?
I am having exactly the same problem with my Samsung Galaxy S2. I bought mine at T-mobile, it is a T-mobile branded phone, less then a month ago.
I did a factory reset a couple of times. That did not help.
I have not flashed my phone or anything like that. I do not even know what flashing is!

Try to do one of these solutions for the problem
Settings) application) running services) show cached process) camera) stop and clear data. Test your camera.
or
Settings Select Applications / Manage Apps Select Manage Applications Select All Select Camera and/or Android Camera Select Force Stop and Clear Data Turn your device off and back on. Test your camera.
or
If that did not work, please do a Google services reset:
Please go to Settings Select Applications Select Manage Applications Select All Select Google Services Framework Select Clear Data. Turn your device off and back on. Test your camera.
I still have the problem but maybe it will work for you.
I hope it will
Thanks a lot for your advice. Unfortunately it didn't work
What I find weird,is if I clear all data,it says 0.0 kb but after restarting my phone,it says 4.0 kb. Like it didn't cleared any camera data?
I am afraid there isn't anything left for me to do then go to a Samsung servicepoint....

I deleted all the files and directories in storage and then did a factory reset.
After that I can use the camera for a short while.
When I rebooted the phone, the camera goes blank screen again :crying:
So, anyway, this is likely a software problem and not hardware.

Are you quite sure its a software problem?
I've been facing this quite a few months. Problem started a few months after rooting with CF-Root and flashing Cyanogenmod 9 nightly(was working fine for few months). Since then have reflashed kernel (tried many Siyah kernels). It would work a while then become black screen again then again work sometimes.
Flashed Cyanogenmod 10. Would work intermittently now and then.
Finally flashed to stock official ICS ROM. Didn't help. Works for a while after the wipe and again a while if i do factory reset. But problem still persists.
Let me know if you find a solution. I'm really frustrated

I get this message ALOT on all the JB roms out there now; it happens after a reboot/restart, and if I click ok, things seem to work normally after a few seconds...

wiping data will mean you have to reinstall your rom
I've wiped cache/dalvik numerous times, and it still happens
and, when I flash new rom, i factory reset, wipe data/cache/dalvik, and run darkstar system wipe, and it still happens
First try fixing permissions from within your recovery.

Hello,
this problem happens to me too for a few day now.
System not responding at every boot, but everything seems normal.
when i flash a new nightlie and it reboots, i do not get this message. But after i reboot again it reapears.
after a search i found this, there: http://www.modaco.com/topic/359832-devrom152-cyanogenmod-101-android-422/
its for zte blade
[DEV][ROM][15.2.] CyanogenMod 10.1 (Android 4.2.2)
"11.2.2013 changelog:
reverted commits (1,2) that caused 'Process system isn't responding' issue on every reboot"
(the comits have something to do with the new FM stuff in the rom)
Maybe someone want to have a look at it?
I can not post in the official CM10.1-galaxysmtd thread yet.

Hello Again,
The problem is gone for me i found out that it has something to do either with the Theme i was using, or/and the Launcher. Because i first switched my Launcher (Nova Launcher) to the Stock one (Trebuchet) (merely just because i did not know how i should fix that problem) then at the after the first reboot with stock launcher the problem was gone, but came back after i rebooted again. So i changed my Theme (JellyBeanExtreme) and the problem did not appear again "knockin´3x on wood^^"
Maybe this can help someone who had or will have this problem.
Greetings,
Strainhunter

Eh, nope. That would be if you wiped your system. Wiping data will take away all your apps and customizations, but will leave the ROM intact (remember: "ROM" = "Read-Only Memory").
IMO if you want to start anew as a first level troubleshoot, it's much easier to wipe cache/dalvik/SYSTEM, then reflash your ROM and GAPPS. This has solved my problems about 90% of the time, especially when I've installed a mod my phone doesn't like, or done something stupid while messing around in /system/.

It is absolutely the themes that do this. However, from what I read up on it there is literally nothing actually going wrong with the device except for a teeny couple of extra seconds on boot up (which can supposedly be rectified by hitting "Wait" instead of "Stop" or whatever it says.
Actually, I even remember them saying that the mere fact that you're getting the error message means that it's installed correctly.. Something about the stock framework not liking being modified.

ya...i noticed nothing was really wrong while getting the error, it just bug me that i was getting that little pop up window. i would hit "wait" or "cancel" and it didnt seem to make a difference, it would go away and that was it. once in a while it would pop back up when getting a text or call, before i could answer the call i had to click it to make it go away to be able to answer. so i decided not to use the theme and not worry about that error.....so would it be any theme or just some themes? maybe ill try other themes and see what happens.....

Wi-Fi goes slow.

Hi,
I have a problem with my Wi-Fi. After a while it starts to go very slow. I have checked it with a speed test and its about 0.5 mbits. I first fixed the problem with a factory reset, but it came back after a day.
I have since found that a cache wipe, from the stock recovery menu, fixes the problem too, but it comes back again after about a day or even less.
I tried some cache wiping apps, but only the wipe from the recovery menu seems to do the trick.
I am on stock JB and I don't want to root out put a custom ROM on yet as my phone is still under warranty.
How can I find out what's causing the problem? It's getting rather annoying having to go to the recovery menu every day.
Thanks

That is strange? Maybe its an app you have installed or maybe a bug in the filmware. Head over to "samfilmware" and download the latest build for your version.
Dont think flashing official firmware from there will void your warranty as its official.

Tried flashing the latest stock ROM, same temporary fix like wiping the cache, but after a few hours, goes back to normal. This is with no other apps installed, other than the speedtest app, which I installed after I first identified the problem, so its not an app.
Another thing I noticed is that it went away after I disabled the 5Ghz wifi connection on my router, but it came back. The I tried manual wifi channel instead of auto, same thing. Problem went away, and then came back.
If I change the wifi channel the problem goes away, and then comes back after a few hours.
It seems like wifi settings must have something to do wit it, but I can find a combination which cures it completely.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, this is starting to drive me bonkers:crying:
Try hawkerpaul s GS2Nuke script, if it doesn't work try another wifi (other then the one at your home), if it works with another wifi then reset your router, if it doesn't work try making it without password.
