[Q] Updating Paid Pre-installed Apps - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

On an Archos Gamepad you get Rayman Jungle Run Pre-instaled(Paid App).
Can you update it on Goole Play or do I hve to purchase it?

If you got the application preinstalled with the device, then you should be able to update it as usual. No need to purchase the app.

Thanks

You shouldn't be recommending anyone use Aptoide, it's a warez infested gimp haven!
ABP can be found on F-Droid tho: http://f-droid.org/repository/browse/?fdid=org.adblockplus.android :good:

Yes, that is true, but APKs that cannot be found on google play is usually uploaded on aptoide. Its morals, and anyone with morals would support the developer and purchase their app.. Not to say i have not downloaded any paid apps without paying for them, but i definitely have donated and purchased apps that have saved my ass such as speedview when my speedo was not working.
I uses ad away it uses less battery

Offline? You need to download app for phone and browse/install apps from it. Suppose its online! The same app as google play.
I dont see any offline .apk links for PC. The only offline .apk rep I know is f-droid.org

Adblock Plus is available from the Amazon Store, why not just download it from there?
https://adblockplus.org/en/android-install
So, this [Adblock Plus for Android] will block annoying adds inside apps?
Is it recommended to also use the Adblock verion specifically for Firefox if you have this version installed?
Any issues using this alongside Android Firewall (besides the obvious one of needing to add Adblock to the whitelist so that it can download it's block list)?
Two other apps I'd recommend to anybody reading this thread: greenify and wakelock detector.

[REQ]Latest Spotify APK

Any chance someone could pass me along the latest spotify APK? I'm in Canada and cannot access the latest APK on the play store. The manual download method from m.spotify.com leaves me with version 5.12.52 of the app installed on my phone. Thanks!

That's not true at all.
If you're outside of the supported countries, all you need to do is just sign up with a foreign proxy, logging in after that if possible with your normal local connection
Does it work in India? I have tried but now I will so nload apk and see it work on root oh

Well yea, but that's the thing I'm not sure about if it is safe using this apk which Google hasn't inspected (normally I'd be quite warry of such things)...
But ok, I got you guys, in this case I'll ignore the warnings.
Thank you!

If you download from Whatsapp official website then it is safe.
However if you download some app from other place, it MAY be harmful. Apps from Google Play are checked, but other place downloads are not checked.
But it is safe to download from OFFICIAL website of app.
Press Thanks if helped.

thx.
Yeah, the system warning got me all paranoid, thinking that maybe someone hacked the site or that I have entered some mock page (via google)... XD
thx anyway, the deed is done.

If your rooted titanium backup has that option.

There's a number of apps that can do this. Titanium can, but there's plenty of free ones too. Some are specific, some have this as one of their features. Of course, without a working Play Store, you'll have to sideload the app with an .apk you found somewhere, or from an "alternate" app store.
