Read the mandatory stickies in each subforum. From the Original Android Development post:
THIS FORUM IS ONLY FOR RELEASING AND DEVELOPING "ORIGINAL" ROMS AND KERNELS.
"Original" in this sense are only ROMs that are compiled from source, so AOSP, AOKP, CM Versions. Additionally SOME Sense-Roms may be inducted here, if they include truly extraordinary development. This decision is to be made by moderators.

The other one is for everything else. That is all ROMs which are not compiled but are skinned/modded/themed/kanged, etc.

Could you be more specific? There is already Cyanogen Mod, AOKP, AOSP ROMs and even AOSP Themed Touchwhiz ROMs. Most of them are mature and stable. What more do you want?
Thread closed.
Users are expected to read threads to derive answers about roms and development.
Hi all!!! I just got my nook tablet recently, and I'm having trouble finding ROMs for it. I'm currently running Cm10.2.1 but I wanted to flash something new, also what do I need to flash to be able to over clock?
Thanks All
You can get official CM11 builds from http://download.cyanogenmod.org/?device=acclaim and Gapps for CM11 from http://wiki.cyanogenmod.org/w/Google_Apps.
See http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2670589 for pointers on how to update from CM10 to CM11.
Thank you. I've already got cm11 nightlies. Was looking for cm7 and other Aosp roms is there a thread where a collection of ROMs has been setup?

CM7 is based on Android 3.0 (Honeycomb), many recently released/updated apps likely would not be backward compatible with it.
Your best bet for hunting for contemporary ROMs is to browse through the threads on http://forum.xda-developers.com/nook-tablet/development -- e.g., there are a handful of ROMs and custom kernels by developer Demetris you can try out.

cm7 is based on gingerbread (2.3.x) and there are no official images of it for the Nook Tablet (like officially provided by cyanogenmod).
oh also i miss the days when people looked somewhere to find the information they're looking for.

I apologize for my earlier post my name calling was completely unnecessary it just irks me when you come to a site where people discuss a hobby and need help and you just expect them to know what is here and there. I am also used to huge groups of roms being available I fcome from devices
Moto droid x
Og droid
Xperia play
Sgs3
Again I apologize
I can't find any custom roms for the ham2. Are there any? If so which ones are nice? I'm new to android hacking, please help.
There are no custom ROMS for the HAM2. Feel free to build one.
First phone I've ever had with no custom roms. Really a shame for such a great phone.

We have a dev. We are waiting in huawei to release the kernel source. Hang tight. Hopefully it won't be long. He's also a CM employee.. Can't beat that for a dev.
He hired with a bounty? Is it based off of lolipop 5.1? Any eta?

He's a CM dev who wants to bring both CM11 and CM12 to our phone. No bounty, and he said he can't accept donations, but we've got to give something back or show our gratitude. No ETA either. We're all waiting on Huawei to release the kernel source first.
Hey everyone, this thread is a hub for most roms and kernels available for the LG G2. Please do not ask questions about roms here, go to the respective rom thread. If I have missed a rom or kernel then tell me below and I will try and include that rom. Note: I will only include roms and kernels that have an xda thread. Note to developers: If you do not want your work here, message me and I will remove the links.
Enjoy!

Ayyyy it's pacer. Anyway I think you should include info on which models of the G2 each ROM supports because the T-Mobile section has almost no ROMs while other sections have D801 compatible ROMs.

Great idea and initiative.
Someone should do a thread about how to switch between jb-kk-lp-mm with links to patches, bootstacks etc
That would be really helpful to a lot

I am not going to do it as I have minimal experience with that, I done this as I have flashed most roms here at least once, and go to the g2 dev thread daily

Which ROM are you currently using?
i like your thread. contains most of the relevant roms and kernels atm. try not to bloat it up too much since there are tons of obsolete threads for the LG G2.

On my lg g2, AOSP CAF, on my motorola moto g 3rd gen, Barthmallow which is stock rom based.
AOSP-CAF is pretty solid but would not suit everyone, not at this stage probably, but it is worth a good try.
If anyone has a suggestion feel free to tell me
still no aosp rom with oms support . aosp roms runs better than cm roms in my view .

No, you didn't ask anything, there are no question marks in the OP.
The kernel source its there, Android source is there too. Go build yourself a ROM.
The closest right now is LineageOS, you can find it on Development section

1st of all who the hell asked you to build ??
So why are you doing this show off.if devs want to build they will. We are here to give our opinion and suggestion.
How about we all take a chill pill and relax a little for a bit. There are clear misunderstandings from posts that could have been worded more clearly, so we'll leave it at that.
As for AOSP roms running smoother than CM/LOS, CM/LOS is based on AOSP. Speed in roms is different the type of changes that are implemented into the rom, like how AOSPA is using LTO throughout their repos. Some AOSP roms add in compiler optimizations to speed up performance (like AOSPA), but it will cause regressions on certain devices with older/faulty hardware. Just my 2 cents, overall, performance on CM/LOS is not much different than any other AOSP rom out there, since they're essentially the same when it's down to the basics.
