dear xda mates
i installed makdriod on my pocket and i want to get back to stock so i downloaded a firmware from samasunges updates but it has only one file ".tar" i added it to "pda in odin" but i says fail !!
what to do pleaase
Could be file is corrupted. Can you open it with 7zip or winrar?

Hi to all expert, I was download a stock Rom under .zip file after I extract there is only I file .tar.md5 ... As I know we need three file PDA,PHONE,CSC to flash but I only have one file how to flash or I need to create .tar file myself ..

Put the amms file of odin rom in the flashable zip of that thread

Amms file is into stock rom, unpack and put it into zip

Unzip and inside is md5 file use in odin
Ok got the file. Have the MD5 file. Do I just put this in pit and flash in download mode?

Hello.
According to this, I have to download "1.1/4.0 KERNEL IN .TAR FOR ODIN" since my phone is not rooted. However, I can't find the "1.1/4.0 version in the list" and if I download the newest version, there's nothing with .tar extension.
Can anybody help me where I can find the file or suggest any other kernel that has CWM? I don't care about the quality of the kernel, I just need the CWM to be able to access my files via USB.

Agreed. That link takes you to a Page of zip files. Can you flash the older tar file via odin in PDA to gain root then flash newest version as a zip via CWM.

I'd flash any version, even the oldest one, but I can't find any .tar files I could flash.
Look further down the Page there is a tar file there

Does anyone know how I can find a TAR version of a rom I can flash using Odin?? (as I cant boot my phone)
They all seem to be CWM zips :/
Just extract the zip using winrar
