Help please no rom installed and cant copy - Galaxy S III Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
I just failed my rom, it wont reboot anymore..
and i just cleaned the sd card..
so no backup and no more rom there..
now if i plug my phone onto my pc with usb, the pc wont fidn him, so i cant copy a rom to the internal memory.
i dont have a external sd card.
how can i get a zip file to my internal memory now ?

install kies if you havent already onto your pc (it installs required drivers)
plug the phone in to your pc - if it registers, flash a stock rom with odin

I agree with DSA "flash a stock rom with odin" @Racinghart91, Can you get in to download mode?

if the stock boot doesnt work!...(am hoping it does) .., .. try using the resurrection rom and flashing it via odin... Good LUck!

Urgent Help needed flashing

Hi Guys,
I have a problem.
In clockwork Mod my phone cannot see the external SD card to flash a rom. Also, my pc cannot see the internal SD when in Mount. This means I am stuck without a rom and cannot use the phone.
Is there a way to fix this?
Cheers,
Jimi
Did you installed kies to have on your pc the latest samsung mobile drivers? (but dont forget to kill kies and not having it running in background if you planning to use Odin)
Im not 100% sure but the External SD only from cwm 4.1+ can be used, otherwise only usb mass storage (but i can be totally wrong here)
ALWAYS do nandroid backup before doing ANYTHING to your phone. As mentioned above, make sure you have installed drivers, then from CWM you should be able to mount internal storage to PC. If by some reason that doesn't work, see if ODIN will recognize your connected phone, if yes, then flash any ROM from ODIN.

[Q] phone does not boot

Hi
I am on Wolfs TW Gingerbread. I went in xrec and formated system + cache and clicked on fix permissions. Then I have restarted the phone and it stucks on the Sony Ericsson logo. I can't even enter xrec.
But the real problem is that my usb doesn't work and i cannot connect the X10 to my laptop. Is there a way to fix it somehow without connecting to a computer?

You have formatted system???!!! That an anwer why you stucked on SE logo
Now you have to download ROM again, place its zip on sdcard and flash it again. You dont need usb cable.
How to install it? I can't enter xrecovery

You have to get your usb port fixed, I don't think you can enter anything since you've formatted your system.
Follow these steps because you cannot connect your phone to the computer:
1. Get your memory card in a card reader.
2. Connect it to PC and copy the rom file in the memory card.
3. You cannot enter recovery because maybe you formatted your memory card too, find a tutorial on how to install x-recovery manually on youtube and install it in the memory card using the card reader.
4. Place the card back in your phone and press the back key as soon as you see the SE logo. You should now be able to install the rom via zip in x-recovery .
I hope this detailed info would helps you.

I am almost surethat this wouldnt help him. X-recovery (and other recoveries) are placed on system partition (you can see that manual installation of xrec was to place some files and chmod in system root FS), so he formated recovery also.
As told before, now you need to fix usb port first. Because only solution is flashmode flash with Flashtool. No other way dude, sorry..

Well, atleast this will help you get back to stock again. Even with a broken usb port.

[Q] Format internal SD card with Windows

My internal SD card is full of junk and I want to format it.
I tried formatting using the phone but nothing happened.
So I was wondering if I can do it like this: http://i.imgur.com/5px1RrG.png?
I'm not sure if u crash the sd-format afterwards (fat32/ext4/etc...)
I (!!!)
would recommend to backup what u need to PC, first.
Connect phone to PC.
Then make all things visible in windows Explorer (also invisible folders).
Select all and delete them manually. (= sd card is clean)
Then go into download mode, connect to PC (Odin) and flash ur firmware.
No warranty for anything!!!!
Much success

Noob mistake. Wiped data in TWRP - Including the OS

My G3 is a blank slate right now.
I put the SD card into my PC and downloaded the CM12 file and the Gapps file. Now with it back in the phone I can't find them. I click install > External Sd > nothing there.
Under "mount" it wont let me click the SD card.
Where do I start?
I would plug the phone in and reflash back stock and start over. But u could try mounting the the phone as usb storage and dl the files directly to it thn search for them on the internal storage since it wont connect to the sd.

Plug it into where and reflash it how? You have to ELI5. I'm reformatting my SD card now to see if it will recognize it.
Wow. I really had to go through some trial and error there. I spend the last few hours trying to get the ADB side loading to work. Trying ever driver known to man. I kept getting the no devices message. There was a specific order that it had to be done in order for it to be recognizing the device at the time of loading. Enable mtp > adp > plug in > side load.
I'm up and running CM12 now. And I'm ready for bed!
Since you have twrp installed, why not just get an SD card and put a ROM on it and flash? Seems like the easy way to me.
For future reference, was the phone recognized by adb when in TWRP? If so, did you try to push any files to the internal storage?
I did that once I just flashed a tot file then just rerooted I couldn't connect phone back with adb or anything
