what problem???
If you phone is dead, it is dead, period.

Are you sure your phone has sd issue or is it softbricked (not starting Android / bootlooping)

freeze its relate to sudden death, yes flasing CM 10.1 will help and also Samsung base on XXEMBE is on of the best freeze free reported at the time. Also you need to update the kernal and recoverty with the patched. For more information.

Hello,
I am linked to this post because of my problem with my Samsung Galaxy S3. Out of the blue the S3 was dead.
I can go to CWM Philz touch and do factory data reset and flash a new rom but is won`t work anymore.
With Odin is the same, it connects but after checking rom or CWM it will not connect.
It can not mount my intern sd. I think one of the intern paritions are corrupt.
I read the first topic but do not know how to repair my partitions?
Please help me out to fix my wife`s S3.

With Odin tried with pit file also but no succes.

Can someone help me in the right direction please?

[Q] Stuck at Boot - Samsung I9100G

Hello gurus,
I got a SGS2 I9100G. I tried to flash the CF-Root kernel in order to root but it failed.
I then went to download mode and tried to install Litening rom.
it always fail at the modem part.
I am so stupid that I did not first check the firmware version already installed !
I am now trying to re-install a stock version and none is working.
I tried vilain rom 1 (supposed to wipe everything) it completes with no error , but it stays stuck at the writing Samsung I9100G . (not the Samsung logo).
I can not go into the recovery mode.
I tried to flash a kernel and things got worse... now I have the 2 computers screen.... Please helppppppppppppppp
Thanks
Ok looks like what you've done is flash software meant for the I9100 model and not the I9100G.
Search through the threads till you find threads specifically about the G model. Read and read a lot. Not joking...read a lot.
Your gonna need Odin, gonna need to boot into download mode and gonna need to flash firmware for the I9100G model.
Hope this points you in the right direction.

You think that flashing a firmware for I9100G will solve the issue ?

Having problems with cMiUi for i9000g

Hi i'm having a problem with this rom, I flashed the most recent lp7 kernel, the lp7 one from this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1631934
Used the latest version of the rom, flashed it no problems. Aroma completed the install without any troubles.
But now i'm stuck on the presentation screen of the phone that says samsung galaxy S2 model number (the first thing that pops up when you start the phone)
I've re wiped (dalvik and battery stats too) everything a couple of times, tried the latest syriah kernel, nothing works.
Any ideas or suggestions would be vastly welcome.

1. Siyah kernel is not compatible with GT I9100G. Don't flash kernels/ROMs meant for GT I9100.
2. Post the link of the Rom you flashed
3. List all the steps you took while flashing.
4. Please include any additional info, that you think will be relevant to solving your problem.

I think i might have found the problem, there was a link to a detailed install procedure in the thread which was for i9100 so the bad kernel flash soft bricked the phone i've restored it and i'm now trying a similar rom

Fixed it the unbrick procedure thats in the g forums worked perectly.
Looks like one must never flash anything on the g version unless it is specifically made for the g version

I think it's hardware issue but i can't conclude until you tell us
1. when you have experiencing the problem
2. If you ever faced the same problem while using another ROM

You can use softkeys which you can enable in ParanoidAndroid. It's a small black bar which appears on bottom of the screen.

[Q] sds question

well i found out my phone has one of those " insane chips " which leads to the sudden death syndrome
anyway iv been reading all day and im confused as to what to do to protect myself from sds since i started having some freezing issues which is usually fixed by a battery pull
anyway iv been reading and some are saying 4.1.2 has the fix some people are saying no you should revert to 4.0.4 or 4.1.1.. im confused ..
anyway im rooted...im planning to flash cm 10.1 on its stable version as its released.. but i want to protect myself in the meantime until its released:fingers-crossed:...
does cmw 6.0.3.2 have protection against it ? its not the philz version just the plain version....
anyway im up to date as it relates to software as shown in the pics....
any suggestions will be greatly appreciated... thanks in advance

ok
Well 4.0.4 and 4.1.1 doesnt have the SDS fix so nope you cannot downgrade :/ you can fix the freezing with the new EMC3 kernel , it worked for me atleast I'm using ultimarom with stock xxemc3 official kernel and didn't have any freeze or a reboot

[Q] Downgrading Galaxy SIII (GT-I9300) from 4.3 to 4.1.2

Dear friends I recently installed I9300XXUGMJ9_I9300VFGGMJ5_VDI_2.tar (Android 4.3) on my Galaxy S III International version. Looking For 4.1.2
In fact I was looking for a solution to switch back to Custom 4.1.2 as it was the perfect ROM so far for me.
I have downloaded it from Sammobile but after Installing it via Odin I am unable to see any network and the Phone's IMIE is changed. I would greatly appreciate anyone to come up with solution for that....
Thanks everyone for being so kind...

Check your IMEI number, wheather it was changed to 0049XXXX - I have had the same problem. I downloaded from Sammobile firmware v4.3 and flash your phone with odin. My IMEI and network connection was restored. Looks like Samsung does not like us to downgrade the firmwares.

Solution.....
Hello guys....
I am very thankful to the xda forum and all the members who helped me to get through a serious problem..
Recently I installed 4.3 Leaked version on my GT-I9300 and the ROM proved to be worst ROM of life. So I decided to go back to 4.1.2.
I installed the custom ROM via Odin but I confronted a serious issue, when I was finished the installation I found that there was no network at all... Samsung's official told me that it is impossible to reverse the Android version...
I had no clue what to do. I flashed many ROMs but no solution at all. My IMIE was also kinda jumbled..
Many guys said it is EFS issue... But it is not EFS issue...
It is all because of different Modem issue.. all you need to do is just install a clean custom ROM from http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/2/ and Install the patched modem... you are done..
So here is the solution:
1. Download your desired CUSTOM ROM for your Country from Sammobile...
Link http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/2/
2. Install the ROM via Odin
3. Root it and Install your favorite recovery.
4. Install the Patched MG4 Modem Zip in Recovery Mode. Link https://www.dropbox.com/s/geispctijp...9300XXEMG4.zip
You are done....
This problem is all about MODEM version, so I don't think if EFS tricks are involved here.....
Finally credits go to all the XDA Members who put their heart and soul to present all the required guidance for me to be able to downgrade to lower Android Version.. I have only compiled the whole stuff into a single thread....
Thanks,,,
Plenty of solutions....

Dear sir,
Actually the problem is not finding the solutions but finding the right solution.
Worth members of XDA Forum post a lot of solutions for a particular problem and thus newbies like me get even more confused... So it definitely takes some time for us to come to a point when we are able to get the desired results.
Sometimes, we are not able to clarify our queries.....
As in my problem only a Modem was required while I was looking for EFS solutions!
After Flashing the MG4 modem my battery life has become worst. I don't know if it is because of the Modem.. but whenever my phone is on airplane mode then the battery remains at the same percentage but while on network my battery keeps on draining without even texting or calling
