I have a galaxy grand .I have rooted it.its running on android 4.1.2.An upgrade is available for it.So when i try to update it ota it says the phone has been modified .I have rooted the phone.so i want to manually upgrade the firmware not through the kies.So How do i upgrade the phone through ODIN or Through CWM.
Just Search and Download FW

Search for the how to flash new firmware with ODIN in Youtube..

You would have to download the firmware then manually flash through CWM recovery

im currently trying to downgrade from leaked jelly-bean 4.1.1 using Samsung kies and there is no option to download the official Samsung 4.0 ?
im trying to get the official Samsung firmware if possible please ?

Download official firmware samsung here ; http://www.sammobile.com/firmware/
With Kies you can only initialize your phone to factory state (it will be some older ICS version) and in next step upgrade it to newest version.
You can do this with Odin immediately by flashing required ICS version. Kies doesn't allow you to selective downgrade.

I have a Korean sgs3 shv e210s running anroid 4.1.2 i try to update it but it says your system is up to date. I know there is 4.3 update available but it wont prompt me about it. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks

Try to flash 4.1.2 first. Then update through OTA to 4.2.2
