isn't wifi error on non stock kernels a developement issue?
BTW i had the same wifi error aswell as i thought sod it i'll try it.
thinking its a driver not loading correctly from the limited knowledge i have?
The Ketut's OC Kernel would make wifi stop working on stock ROM, because the OC kernel is ONLY FOR CYANOGENMOD 7.
Clear? Disable SetCPU and Flash CF-Root to get wifi back.
And this should be in general section actually >_>

i know its for cm7 only but this wifi error issue just keeps on getting ignored and also the point of customisation is to mix and match roms and kernels to suit personal taste!
i like stock roms aswell as custom roms but to overclock we have no choice but to flash cm7 roms.
also i have never found an explanation to what causes the error in the first place!
somone answer please

Simple: It's just not compatible with the Samsung ROM. The modules are a bit different. And If I'm not mistaken, the Samsung's Kernel doesn't support OC.

btw its possible to create oc kernel for stock rom, its just merely editing a file in the sourcecode.

LOl, as an SM(Senior Member) u should have known this
No, with stock CM10 kernel u cant use 'Extweaks' or 'Stweaks' ma8.
install Siyah v5.0.1 or Dori v7.33 and u will have 'Stweaks' app installed automatically, there under 'GPU' tab u can tweak the settings
PS- Also see to it that u wont create multiple threads for each of ur issue's, since its against XDA rule and as a senior member u should be aware of it do please edit the same thread and add the issue/info there itself

I think is not necessary... I am using this version of Yank Kernel with Sotmax V12 and I did not need SetCPU app
thanks for answering so quick,
how to change cpu setting without this soft
You don't need it for the kernel to work, but it's required if you want to OC/UC, ie changing frequencies/governors

No sound during call
This might be one of the best kernels for the 4.4 roms out there but it has just one problem in my device : there's no sound during calls. This happens only when I have Boeffla , as soon as I flash another kernel the sound fixes. I have tried uninstalling Boeffla Config and running the kernel without it but it's the same. How to solve this ? Thank you.

Hi,
make sure your init.d folder does not contain left overs of other kernels.
Especially when you were on Agni Pure before, this is a known issue as it overwrites Boeffla-Settings in an incompatible way.

kernel issue
hi good night i install the kernel today with the rom back-to-n00t- and when boot i lose my sdcard (internal) i uset a cwm touch as well and have a issue with that, i have to remove the kernel for keep my internal sdcard, some can help me?
Cwm touch comes with it's own kernel, so this proves it is not a kernel problem.
Must be something else, maybe a defective sd card...

I never tried it. I am not very sure Triangle Away is compatible with any S3 kk rom.
I would be very cautious to not end up in a brick.
I recall I purposely did not put native TriangleAway support into my 6.x series kernel, to not open up any risk here.

Hello.
In NIK60 ROM v.3.0 (4.4.4) I installed Kernel Boeffla 6 Beta 6 with the latest Boeffla Config V2 with Boeffla Config change the values and to reset the phone's settings Governor, the Governor's profile and Internal memory back to their default values pegasusq, standard and CFQ. The other parameters I've changed if maintained.
Where can be the problem? I have proven to Beta 5 and with different versions of Boeffla Config and the result is the same.
Sorry for my bad English.
Thank you

Must have something to do with the rom.
It seems like
- either you have scripts init.d that overwrite the settings
- you have another app that resets this stuff again
- the rom start takes extremely long (you can give additional startup delay in boeffla-configs settings for a try)
Unfortunately there is no way to do a better diagnose without having your phone in hands.
But... there are reasons why I recommend going on pretty clean roms like JustArchis Port. There these kind of things do not happen.

Just try to Blekota ROM 8.1 and the result is the same, previously had Blekota 8.0 and had no problem.
The install has been fully cleaned, wiping up the internal sd.
Init.d folder only has 2 files and 99SuperSUDaemon 85sqlite

I am sorry, but I have no time to try all sort of roms. That's what you users need to do.
I officially do not support the roms you mentioned, only Archiport. So, if all works, fine. But if not, it is like it is.
Especially on the 6.x kernel series I do give only very limited support as it is kinda inofficial and experimental kernel only.
If it worked fine on Blekota 8.0 and not on 8.1 anymore, it is quite obvious something changed which broke some functionality. But as said, I cannot support all roms around as my day only has 24 hours
Thanks for understanding

WHEN (!) I use zram, I use 600 MB total size with 4 devices.
But I almost never use it, I am a lean user, I always close my apps with back button. So zRam is not required for me.

SHV E210K
I 'm using S3 SHV E210K and my phone don't boot when i flash boeffla kernel.
Do boeffla kernel support my phone?
Lame question maybe. Should I turn the S3 power saving feature on while running a power saving profile or is it useless?

Flashing DorimanX kernel
Hi, I'm sure I'm going to appear like an idiot here, but I've been trying to flash the DorimanX kernel to my Galaxy s2, and I keep running into errors. My phone is running JB 4.1.2. I also am not 100% sure about the model number. If I go into the about section in settings, it says that it is a GT-I9100, but behind the battery, the sticker says GT-I9100T. I've installed CWM via odin, using the Jaboo kernel, and tried installing multiple varients of the DorimanX kernel. I've tried installing v10.66, v9.43, 8.43, and v7.46. Every time I have tried installing it, I always enter some sort of boot loop. With the 8.43 it goes to the Samsung splashscreen, and just keeps looping the splashscreen, and never starts up. Does anyone know what I am doing wrong? Any help would be very appreciated. Thanks.

Hello everyone,
I'm new to Dorimanx kernel and i'm happy with the stability and battery usage.
But I have one question : does this kernel has FM Radio support? Because I use Omni 4.4.4 (11-2014) and Dori .44v006 and I can't get to work Spirit2 FM one my S2. The app starts, I give it root permission then Spirit get Stuck at "Please wait" ... Some of you use Spirit here?
Now there is a new free version of Spirit2 for everyone.
Thanks

Copied from my thread:
If this is the kernel config file: https://github.com/dorimanx/Doriman...er-maliv3/arch/arm/configs/dorimanx_defconfig
It has:
CONFIG_FM_RADIO=y
CONFIG_FM_SI4709=m
I presume that's the Samsung Silicon Labs driver, and not the V4L driver.
Changing it to "CONFIG_FM_SI4709=y" may be better, "=m" makes it a module that needs to be loaded.
Spirit1 has about 5 different ways to load the module, LOL. But Spirit2 does not because pretty much all kernels in the last year at least did not use a module for FM; they were built right into the kernel.
We have better as it possible as well with SGS 2!
I'm totally agree with you opinion! That's right and also i haven't reason to buy a new phone right now! Just waiting for a few times to got a stable - one release of lollipop and be patient / happy at the same time!!!
I had a question, i want to learn about it, but i can not really find info.
I am using the latest Slimsaber built and the dorimanx kernel.
When you flash the kernel, at the first boot it does some optimalizations to the phone. What does it do?
And second question is, ( after i delted the contacts app ) i went to the phone options and chose to do a factory reset.
But this time it booted, it does not do any optimalizations or something but i still do have the same kernel obv.
Do i need to reflash the kernel after a restore?
Sorry for so many questions..
